  1. Yes a few of us have done the stats, it is on average 6.5%. Depending on the month, it varies up to 7% and down to 5.5%. So take the 30 something approvals and you get something like several hundred real approvals. Which I can also verify as I also track each wAC# from my case to July 18th and I can tell you that in that small group there were over 130 approvals on Friday and 43 RFE's.......

Funny thing about August though, if you were to have looked at the stat of VJ's to receipts two months ago, there were only around 135 of us ~7%.

Very interesting, doing the math they are approving some big numbers of petitions!! Thank you.

  2. Jeffrey, you have seen fluctuations in the percentages because it varies by month. The following data is for CSC only, comparing the number of receipts of I-129F that CSC reported and the total number of VJ members on Igor's list for CSC. A similar calculation could be done for Vermont.

    ......USCIS receipts.....VJ Members.....Percentage

    Jul.......1883..............142............7.54%

    Aug.......1656..............185...........11.17%

    Sep.......1483..............145............9.78%

    Oct.......1714..............143............8.34%

    Nov.......1447..............102............7.05%

    Dec.......1442...............82............5.69%

It makes sense if you consider that half of July filers received NOA2 within a few months, so not as many joined this site.

The longer someone waits, the more likely they are to not only find VJ, but become a member.

I get the number of USCIS receipts from here: http://dashboard.uscis.gov/index.cfm?formtype=6&office=2&charttype=1

    Thank you very much 2Far

  3. Does anyone know with any degree of certanty what percentage VJ members make up of the total filers at USCIS? I have seen speculation of 6 to 10% if that is the case I suppose it would be safe to assume that half of that number would be VSC and the other half CSC regarding the I129F?

  4. Wow this is crazy!! What happened overnight? Approvals like crazy, does anyone know the exact number so far for Friday?

It's a great problem to have when the 15 spaces provided on Igor's list isn't enough!!! I love it!

  5. Yes, in the past there have been so few approvals that it was hard to say with any accuracy whether or not they were working on Fridays but I suspect you are correct,it seems clear now that something is going on with Fridays. Let's hope they are all over it Monday!!

However someone posted that there were 43 RFE's today, that has me confused!

  6. There were also VERY few (if any) last Friday (4/12), or any Friday in recent memory. I kinda suspect they are either furloughed on Fridays (a lot of California state offices are closed on Fridays now, due to to budget issues -- admittedly this should be a Federal office so I'm not sure?) or simply assigned to deal with other casework on Fridays. I'm not panicking because I think it's relatively normal. But I sure will be watching to make sure the pace keeps up next week!

  7. Thank you for sharing the news/email, I tend to believe it is correct, clearly the tide has turned at CSC and they are approving petitions faster than I ever expected and also sooner, now I think they will get focused on July and August where they should be! Let's hope the nightmare is over!!!!

  8. We can protest all we want if it makes us feel better, but we shouldn't expect results. In addition, it's not USCIS's fault. One man devised the DACA program and ordered it to be implemented as a political priority, to take precedence over every other kind of petition. Everyone beneath him, including USCIS, was required to comply. If you're displeased, consider directing your displeasure toward the one man, and because he isn't up for re-election in 2014, consider making your vote count in reference to those in Congress who support him and ARE up for re-election.

    (Organizer hat on)

I absoltely agree!! Hopefully this experience will stick with people when it comes time to vote, remember which party is in support of big government.

If you're not sure which party that is it's the one that has a jackass as their mascot!

  9. I used an infopass to go to my local USCIS office in San Jose a few weeks ago. I waited for about half an hour, and finally had a chance to speak to a lady there. I asked her why CSC is taking so long to process, and I showed her the stats and timeline published from USCIS, but she wouldn't even listen to me. She said that CSC is working on things that are not published on the web. I asked her what they have been working on, and she said she does not know. There is one useful thing that she said that day - she has access to as much information as I do, and she can only do as much as what I can do. That almost made me cry that day. I felt so desperate because I realized that these people from the local offices and tier 1 representatives are basically hired to help those people who don't know how to use the internet. They are completely useless, and they can't help anyone. They operate like machines, and helping people is not part of the program. It is really depressing to think that our life and future are dependent on these people.

I have a name for them, I call them mindless government drones!!!

  10. This is not in the least bit surprising to me, just another shining example of bloated government agency that should be dismantled and privatized! Anything the government is involved in will be completely incompetent and cost ten times as much! As you point out if they had to compete in the private sector they would be eaten alive!!

  11. Based on all the information I have ever seen on this site TSC does not process I129F petitions.

I think he is mistakenly assuming that the I129F's went with the DACA petitions to TSC.

Now CSC has approved 9 VJ members in two days eight of which are right around December 1st, this is no coincidence they are up to no good, too many approvals at that target date also they haven't approved that many in two days in recent history.. Something is definitely up! Any ideas what can be done about it if anything?

  12. July/August/September/October filers have been transferred to the Texas Service Center, that's why you are seeing the jump to November filers, hopefully those filers will start hearing something from Texas soon.

Based on all the information I have ever seen on this site TSC does not process I129F petitions.

  13. CSC approved 4 yesterday which is encouraging but three of the four filers were from December, wow talk about out of order that is extreme!

It is good to see signs of life from CSC though!!

What is CSC doing? seven out of the eight approvals in two days all around December 1st!! I think some of you are correct it is beginning to look like they are trying yo make their average numbers look good. If that is the case it is really low!!

  14. I got my NOA2 back in March as well, and I filed mine this year in January. Basically 60 days from NOA1. I was so stoke, but my hope is slowing waning since NVC has yet to get my case files after a month. After 7 phone calls to NVC and 1 to USCIS, I was told by USCIS that my files is sitting in a mailroom in San Jose, CA even though the NOA2 clearly read that "We have sent the original visa petition to the Department of Stale National Visa Center (NVC)". The reply I got from USCIS was "yes, we approved your I-130 petition, and we WILL send it to NVC". The all capitalized "WILL" is as written in the reply. No ETA, and I was instructed to wait for NVC to contact me when they receive my file. What a major disappointment! I guess getting the NOA2 didn't really mean you jumped ahead of the line. Your order of processing is determined by the sending out of your files to NVC. There was another post the other day of a similar case on VJ who has been waiting for 45 days with no NVC case #.

    Sigh...

Think about this... This agency is run by the same bureaucrats who will soon be running our healthcare system in this country! Things are looking up!
