  1. I am assuming here, since you didnt actually specify, that you are referring to the receipt of your NOA2? In which case dont expect it for a couple months, as I see you did not file until November.

    (insert sarcasm here)

  2. Yes sadly I agree with you, for some reason July and August filers seem to have been thrown into a hollow-less Twilight Zone pit and forgotten, while September filers are getting quickly approved at this point :hehe:

Let the good times roll!!!!!!!! Keep it moving CSC, next up October and November! j/k I do hope that those "twilight zoners" get responses ASAP too!

  3. Hha I love dream team! they helpmeout soo much!!

Haha no i mean everything he says makes sense and seems logical and makes me understand stuff :DIts the guy here with the fiance from japan, i always seem to see his posts and ten Im like oooo ya that makes sense and I like that!

Glad to see these posts are giving us all something to do other than baking pies

  4. We filed in November too and are anxiously waiting to see our case status go online. I've called several times with no help/success. Any suggestions or do I just need to get used to waiting?

You guys mean be able to see your case online? Your WAC numbers from NOA1 from few months ago don't' work for case status? Well, just to calm any nerves I rarely check these days. It's nothing exciting. Just stays on "Initial Review" until you get NOA2. I used to check daily, now it's like once every 3-4 days because they will email/text you when done too.

  5. The fees go directing to the US Treasury. Congress appropriates how much money returns to which account. Since no budget has been passed since Obama took office, only continuing resolutions that maintain the same level of discretionary spending every year, the USCIS will not be getting any additional resources any time soon.

Yea, agree Patriot. You're dreaming if you think that the fees are gonna make them go any faster. We just gotta wait til VSC gets done with every filer through 2012, all the illegal immigrants become nationalized via Dream Act and Daca, and for my pet unicorn to fly me over the moon. I think that's when we may see more than 1 CSC approval per week. I think that's a fair estimate, right?:bonk::wacko:

    Ooohhh yaa :D

we got some smart people on this forum here. We got the accountant up there and then we got here this guy who I also seem to stalk and like his responses haha

Yea we have the dream team on this thread!

by the way, who's the guy you stalk with the funnyu responses, we can use a laugh too!

  6. The CSC is getting more and more ridiculous. When is the insanity going to be over? Literally like 2-3 approvals on Igor's list in weeks.....I'm trying to to stay optimistic, but I just want to see at least a few approvals a week you know? It's been stalled since we all filed, which makes me think that the last 3 months don't really "count" in the ~6 month NOA2 wait. Hoping we see some movement come March...Judging by some charts it seems like Apr/May should be homeruns for the # NOA2s approved...

  7. I totally agree with Retemad... Best to stay put.

    Retemad,

We've moved forward with sending a letter to our Senator after your wee push yesterday (our I/L has them in hand already)... I'll let you all know what comes about from that. Fingers crossed.

Nice work Sahs! You're in the home stretch, I feel it! Fingers crossed for you as well

  8. If you live in a bigger city, it's not enough. But when you live in the country, in the middle of no-where, it is enough. His mortgage payment is like $400 a month. The cost of life in rural America (at least most places) is quite cheap and people that have only been in metropolitan areas don't fully understand that.

I owned a home that was a 5 bedroom, 2 story house with a garage and a small (very small) yard. It cost me $29,000.

Yes, $25,000 in rural PA is enough to support a family of 3 - 4 pretty decently.

Also the I-864P says the minimum needed is only $18,912 @ 125% for 2 people. He clears that benchmark easily with property owned, income, and funds in bank account. He clears it with income alone.

Not trying to argue or anything, but has anybody ever heard of something like this at the mumbai consulate? Could the lady working just be mistaken? This wasn't the immigration official that did this, this was the lady working the counter reviewing her documentation, so it could be a mistake? Thanks!

ok, sounds like you have a case then if the requirements are there....

  9. Ok, this isn't for me but a good friend. His fiancee just went to the Mumbai embassy and they told her they were going to reschedule her appointment until tomorrow because she didn't have the proper documentation.

They are trying to say my friend didn't earn enough money because he was born blind and gets partial disability. I say partial because he works as well (about $12k income about $12k disability). All together his income is about $25,000 in rural Pennsylvania where that is good money to live off of. He also owns (mortgage) his own house that is worth $58k. He submitted the last appraisal and listed it on the I-864 (they wanted the I-864 not the I-134).

He is well over income wise. He submitted paystubs from both work and his disability statement, bank statements, and the home details. Why are they still saying he needs a co-sponser? That doesn't make sense. It is only for 2 people.

Any advice? They only have 24 hours to provide more financial proof.

    Thanks.

    David

Well then he needs a co-sponsor looks like. $25k (minus state and federal taxes) is enough!? Wow, lucky him. That is below the poverty line in the Bay Area. I'm not sure anyone on this site will be able to give you the info you need. Just sayin'.....Good luck tho!

  10. Could you request to have your application sent to another centre?

Ummmm I don't think so. It is all based on where in US you are filing from. It is hard to say that VSC will be faster than CSC in a month or two. You can give it a shot, but judging by your timeline, I don't see the hurry ;)

You must be one of those guys who switches lane constantly during a traffic jam to the one that is moving. Then the lane that was moving stops as soon as you switched, and so on and so forth

  11. Thank you... Looks as though we will be sending a letter to our Senator this coming week as well; through out Immigration Lawyer. Let's hope that this generates some movement. It's gotten to a point that's just depressive... We'll send the Senator's privacy release form Monday and go from there.

Get on it. The pity party is getting old and I think many of us will be relieved when you get approved. It is contagiously painful I must say. I almost want to get on the phone and call for you. Sahs, you need to get "Sahssy" and hopefully get your case moving! :help:
