I don't think that to be an self inflicted wound to to your petition. IO are lawyers most of them, they know people use husband/wife prior to marriage just because they have a positive, good faith intention to be in that situation. Never deny any one in that ground.

My question is: why do you have to go back in the same place for a relationship? From my view point love shouldn't be treated that way. You should relax, try to fine your soulmate but not hunker down in the country. Are they more special than anybody else?

Myafi1985! You are absolutely wrong...he can adjust his status only as if he were sponsored by his spouse here. The NVC knows what the laws is about.
