Hello! We moved for the first time in the immigration process. I did fill out AR-11 online, but initially had issues with it accepting the EACXXXXXXX number. I ended up putting the Application number off of the biometrics letter that doesn't work for checking a case status. However, that worked for the AR-11. However when I search visajourney, some people a few years ago speak of needing to file a second AR-11 for their CRI89 application number (the second number on the biometrics appointment letter that allows you to check the case status). Is that still the case? I didn't see how I could do that online.

Also does the change of address ACTUALLY work? lol Apologies but I'm so hesitant about anything with USCIS. Since we're so close to the application being reviewed by VSC (fingers crossed--June 2016 filer here!), I wouldn't want the green card or interview request to be inadvertently mailed to the old address.

Thank you! Yes I have heard that as well, but I was hoping with some tears and mortgage documentation they would stamp it a little early!

We're in the midst of buying a house and the mortgage company will not give us a mortgage without "6 months validity" on the green card. We have the extension letter which extends him until June 20, 2017. We don't want to lose the house and the Boston field office doesn't have appointments until May 10 😭 We really need an appointment for a I-551 stamp ASAP. New Hampshire has an appointment on May 2. Do you think they will stamp it??? Anyone with experience with this?

You will need to get a stamp or they won't let you back into the country. You probably need an appointment, but worse case scenario is beg the guard to let you in without an appointment.

You're hilarious! ? But thank you for sharing your experience. 30 days it is then. Luckily when you procrastinate like me the expiration date of the letter & green card are just 10 days apart, so the zodiac signs might just align and form a beam of light to an unicorn ?

How far in advance of your green card with the 1 year extension letter expiring can you get an I-551 stamp? I searched the forums and it seems like the field offices are hesitant to stamp passports more than a 2-3 weeks before the expiration of the green card. Anyone who recently got a stamp shed some light?

Our field office is Boston & the green card with extension letter expires June 20, 2017. Do you think we could get the stamp at the beginning of May? We're moving and want to get the stamp before we move away from a convenient field office.

Hi! My husband's green card expired June 20, 2016. We have the 1 year extension letter dated June 10, 2016 and are waiting for approval from VSC. It will be a minor miracle if we get his 10 year green card before we move to Louisiana on July 1. Louisiana is serviced by CSC. My question is if we move so close to his approval time (fingers crossed!), will his case be transferred to CSC? Will that cause yet another delay? Thanks for your input!

Normal unfortunately. We filed in June and ours looks the same. Most people's status stay this way until they are approved.

I did the kitchen sink approach, partially because I had to file at VSC and would probably scream if I got a RFE. I'm also a type A personality, so not sending a ton of evidence would drive me bonkers. Otherwise there was nothing unusual about our case and Australia is a low marriage fraud country.
