  1. Are you sure it was this week? Or did they receive the interview letter last week on Thursday when your cousin did. I think Algiers is issuing interview emails every Thursday at least that's the day everyone i ask has received an interview letter. Another question is who emailed them the interview letter? The embassy or the NVC?

maybe it was thursday im not sure cuz everything goes to that sudani guy in brooklyn he does everything for him . but im sure nvc gave him the appointment cuz its his first appointment but then again im not sure. im sorry im not able to help anyone more then just give u guys info about my famil members cuz alot of them r doing this process in djboti algiers nd eygpt nd i just want everyone to know wat other ppl are going threw .

  2. Thanks for the info Umnori. Have you heard anything from the embassy in Algeria yet? I haven't gotten a single email from them. I'm hoping inshallah I get a interview date this week.

it will come soon inshallah they dont take long. my aunts husband went to transfer her case and within one week they got an appointment it was soo fast i couldnt belive it but they have been waiting for an appointment for like two years cuz hes a greencard and is petitionin for his wife nd three kids. so they have two appointments for september 1.and2 just like my cousin i told u about. inshallah kol khair.

i have a question though is it true the applicant should go with the petitioner when they go to interview. idk how it works when transferring case but i now in yemen its was optional .

  3. Alsalam wi alaykoom so in reply to what ur asking about the money to go into Algeria is a rumor I swear to god. My husband just went to Algeria like 2 days ago and he said it wasn't tru and that they don't even ask u about money.. one of his friends had left 2 days b4 him and he only had 200$ In his pocket .. The only good thing to have like 100 dollar bills on u is when u cash it they give u the full amounlt rather then having someone send it to u I only made this account just to tell u this cuz I feel bad that ppl would have to go thru the hassle in getting that money and then in the end it was just a rumor .. I hope U understood what I'm saying ..

Well that sounds like good news but they didnt let my cousin in a month ago unless he had it .

  4. Today while I was at the gate in the airport getting ready to fly to Cairo to get my wife a security clearance I check the status of my wife's case and it said TRANSFER IN PROGRESS. So I left the airport.

well inshallah know it get transferred fast nd u go to algiers wife her nd ur kids. my cousin moved into a room with two other ppl its a room kitchen nd two bathroom nd three beds for 600.just think of it as a vacation dont stress it and inshallah kolkhair .

  5. abu amina keep trying to get her in cairo nd if it doesnt work then contact a congresswomen or man for help trying to get in nd if u already asked for transfer then wait to see when it will be transferred if u do transfer algiers like i told u is the best . im so glad i finished with my husbands petition cuz if i was going threw this it would be hell for me. hope u guys come out safly and wish u all the best of luck threw this journey. i will keep u updated on my cousins case. oh yea my husbands cousin got in to cairo he kept going every few days to the eygpt embassy in jordon and they kept saying come back later nd then they gave it to him only nd all the other ppl were not able to idk y he didnt do anything but keep going to them. did u try going to abu rashid cuz i now one guy that my husband gave him the info nd he got in.

  6. I'm applying for my wife. When he received his ALG case number what happened to his previous one? Does it still say ready in CRO. I'm going to Cairo tonight to try and get my wife permission to enter the country from homeland security. But I don't want to do all this then they end up saying my case has been transferred

sorry bout that i ment ur wife.hus old case number doesnt even show anymore. it says at nvc idk y

  7. is it for sure that Algier is requiring that they have to entry with $4000, is that 100% true or is that justa rumor?

also, do you guys think that egypt is possible/maybe giving ppl appointments after 2-3 months of case transfer, but they're just not being clear about it? in a way to manage their case load? has anyone had there case in egypt for 2-3 months and got an appointment? it seems people are getting appointments, but it's rare and not all at once. i feel like they have a system that's going on. also, why do they not reply to emails? i mean i have certain a couple and i don't even ge the auto response.

its not a rumor its true it happened to my cuz he had to have it with him just so they can make sure hes not going in for other reasons .

  8. Thanks for the info. Was your cousins case transferred from the NVC or from Cairo? It's been 3 weeks since I got the email from IV Yemen saying my case would be transferred to Algeria. They said it could take several weeks but I'm yet to receive anything. Inshallah I get something this week. Would it make anything move faster if I actually went there?

his case was transferred from eygpt it took two weeks to arrive to algiers and now it says they have it nd to wait for an interview.they gave him another case number as well starting ALG Nd the status of it on the ceac website says still at ncc thats wat confuses me cuz they sent a letter saying its in algiers already.it wont make it faster if u go first . his case was transferred i think july 7th and it arrived like five days ago. he was already there when we made the request for transfer

  9. Thanks for the info. I know you mentioned your cousin was there. Can you ask if there's a way somebody can rent a furnished apartments. I got 2 kids and I don't think a hotel will do. I called the NVC and spoke with a supervisor and he was very helpful. So for the people transferring cases from Cairo to Algiers, Cairo isn't responsible for transferring the cases, it's the NVC that will be doing it and it will be in the order of who requested the transfer first. So basically it's first come first serve.

i asked him he said he found a room with living room kitchen and bath for 700dollors its starting to get crowred he said

  10. Is anybody on this forum in Algiers? Or has anyone in Algiers that can explain to us how to find furnished apartments? And I also heard you have to have a certain amount of money to enter the country? Any info would be appreciated

you have to have 4,000 dollors with u to enter nd once u get in u can look for a hotel and from wat i heard it isnt so expensive itslike 10 dollors a day . food is cheap to nd ppl are nice. also easier u just wait till ur file is there nd then wait for an appointment thats ut unlike all the other places like cairo u need to send in ur documents before the interview for and make an acvount with they embassy website and not being able to get a visa sucks anyway good luck
