  1. You cannot choose where to send them. You send them to the address on the form for your state and USCIS will decide which service centre they are sent to.

I think you are confused. Why did you send an I-130 and an I-129F? Are you married or not? If you are sending the I-129F in the hope of getting a K-3 you will find that there is almost no chance of getting a K-3 now.

With regard to the Texas service centre appearing to be faster, please note that DCF cases on this website fall under the Texas service centre. Hence the Texas service centre statistics are somewhat skewed. You cannot compare your timeline to a DCF case as it is a completely different process.

  2. Most seasons they have all gotten married , this one I wonder if half of them will get that far.

I'm thinking that about Nicole. We've had 4 episodes already and she's not even filed the I-129F yet. Not many episodes left to fit in the entire process, arrival, marriage, etc. I have been reading her tweets on Twitter but she gives very little away. Just says "wait till the final episode".

Chantel irritates me. I don't understand why the need to lie to her parents. She's 25 or so and lives in a free country. She doesn't need her parents' consent or approval for anything. When I was 25 I'd finished university, moved overseas, got a job, was living alone in an apartment in a foreign country, paying bills, etc. At 25 my mother was married with 4 children. I could understand it if she was 17 and wanting to get married. But she's a grown woman.

  3. Anyone has there case completed recently..? My scan date was 29/08/2016.. its has been more than a month now.. i wasn't really anxious before but now we are at last stage of nvc i feel very anxious.. i hope for my case complete soon..

I'm getting anxious too. Our scan date is September 1 and I was hoping for case complete this week but if you are August 29 and still waiting I guess I'll have to be more patient. Good luck to you! I'll be watching for an update from you.

  4. The I-130 approval is just the first step. It doesn't matter how long it takes up be approved because you still have to wait for a visa to be available for you. And the current wait is around 2 years for spouses of LPRs. So even if the I-130 is approved quickly, it means nothing. You still have to wait. Either you wait at USCIS or you wait at the NVC. Waiting is still waiting.

  5. I love this car crash of a show but it's starting to get too ridiculous even for me.

I have always had issues with TLC portraying the K-1 visa as a "try before you buy" arrangement. They don't have 90 days to decide if they want to get married or not. They have 90 days to organise a legal wedding. The deciding should be done before the I-129F is filed.

Jorge apparently has a criminal record that Anfisa doesn't know about. Why doesn't she? Was that not addressed in her interview at least? My husband has a criminal record and has done prison time. He told me all about it very early in our relationship. I have read all the documents and I'm fully aware of it. I even sent a copy of the paperwork with our I-130 and signed the top right of each copied page so that USCIS could see that I was fully aware. We also addressed this issue in our covering letter. They would have run a background check on Jorge. Why hasn't he told the woman he intends to marry?

Nicole and Azan. I see couples like that on visa forums all the time. By that I mean couples who claim to have been talking "constantly" for months but know nothing about each other. Take the food, for example. He seemed shocked that she doesn't eat vegetables and has a very poor diet. During their months of talking did they ever discuss favourite foods, what they just ate for dinner, and so on? It was one of the first things my husband and I talked about in getting to know each other. The same with fitness. He's obviously very much into fitness so did they ever talk about exercise? It seems to be his biggest hobby. How could he be surprised by her lifestyle when they finally meet if they have been talking "constantly" for months?

I found it very odd when Alla arrived and Matt had no food in the house (but he's a man who until that point was living on his own and probably ordered in for the most part or ate at diners and probably didn't ever shop for groceries) but she referred to the house as "Matt's house" and he referred to it as "my house". It's their house now. She lives there. She's almost his wife. I haven't moved to my husband yet but our apartment has been "our apartment" since we became serious and decided to spend the rest of our lives together.

And every season we have the work issue. Fiances arriving from various places with ideas of the work they want to do. There is a wannabe model in every series. This time Anfisa, last time Paola, before that Cassia and before that Kirlyam. But they choose the very visa type that doesn't allow them to work for several months! I've never been a fan of a K-1 and I wonder why anyone with a career would even consider it especially now that we are seeing CR-1s being completed in less than 10 months. But why all the whining when they chose this route?

  6. *~*~*moved from "CR-1 spouse visa process and procedures" to Canada regional discussion as question relates to arrangements at the Montreal embassy*~*~*

  7. No one needs a fiancé visa to get married if they are planning to just get married and then return home. A tourist visa (or VWP approval if eligible) is all that is required for that.

If, however, they plan to remain in the USA after the wedding and make their home there, then every foreignor marrying a USC who wants to do this needs a fiancé visa, regardless of whether they are from a VWP country or not.

*~*~^moved from military discussion to " what visa do I need" as question is not specific to military situatuons*~*~*

  8. The I-864 is for the NVC stage. It won't be required for some time.

Joint sponsors also complete an I-864. Household members who are combining with a joint sponsor to reach the required amount complete an I-864A. But that is some months away yet.

    No G325A required for minors.

Include a selection of photos of you over the course of the relationship. Don't go overboard as photos are secondary evidence anyway. I sent two or three from each year of our relationship showing that we had seen each other several times a year. 5 photos each taken at different times are much better than 200 wedding photos from the same day.

For FedEx use the commercial courier address for Phoenix.
