I can tell you when I asked how much a pcc cost in India they told me 300 rps and it would take up to 2 months to get one... I thought that was about to take me over the top... this process is so slow... anyways then when my fiance called me he told me he was hold his pcc in his hand lsss than 24 hours later... thats because he paid them 2000 rps to get the pcc... so dont let them tell you that they cant get a pcc in 24 hours... just and fyi
Wait. Was that 2000 rp paid as a legal fee or a bribery to quicken the processing ?

Wow that's a long time but enjoy those 3 weeks. And thank you.
I agree with you. It is very long time, considering that you are a married couple...

Keep typing till the character that it fits in

Paperclips or staples are minor things.
I would advice double check that you put your signature and date in your forms.
-
Hopefully, you will not wait long for the interview.
The most important stage is approval of your case in NVC.

As i do remember, i864ez is used only for a single petitioned person, to provide AOS.
Thus, once you have an addition to the family, new baby joins you, you not qualify for the i-864EZ anymore.
Thus, you may need to file 2 i-864 forms (one for spouse and one for the kid).
Regrading i-130, once your spouse become a USC, s/he will be required to file a separate i-130 for the kid.

According to that table, I need the flu shot but I had been told healthy people don't need it. I have my medical on Tuesday and now I am not sure what to do.
If you are not getting cold frequently, then disregard the flu shot.

You are correct that when you file as Married Filing Separately you must show your spouses name and SSN. If your spouse is a Non-Resident Alien you just write "NRA" in the area where you would normally write in their SSN. There are differences between filing as Single vs. Married Filing Separately when it comes to claiming itemized deductions and credits.
Thanks for all these detailed information.
Are you an accountant by profession ?

Your W-4 is only for withholding of income taxes from your wages. If you are married and your spouse is a non-resident alien your filing status on your tax return should be Married Filing Joint, Married Filing Separately or Head of Household depending on your circumstances. Single is not a correct filing status when you are married.
Very interesting information.
How i should file my taxes then, if i am married with 2 kids since 2011 ?
They both are living in another country, and never traveled with me to USA because of visa issues.
This year i have filed I-130 for them before becoming a USC, but don't know how to file taxes yet, please help.
a) I have been advised to file as single without claiming dependents (my wife and 2 kids).
And then file as Married, once my family members are here.
b) Another advice was, after my family members join me in US, i may file to correct my tax filing status.
What would be correct path to follow, please help ?

just be patient that all. we send our package in, got NOA1 (09-25) like 8 days and NOA2 (11-08) in 42 days after NOA1 so just wait and see.. GL
That is great news! reeving NOA2 in less than 2 months is amazing
If you really got NOA2, please also update your timeline and signature.
Good Luck!

Congrats !
Hope that day will come for all of us

No worries. I figured it out
What did you put there (what number)?
Are you petitioning for your spouse only? (may be you have a kid, that you also petitioning like me?)
I am asking it because of the i-864 form. I guess there is a reason why you choose I-864EZ to file in your case?
please, explain.

Hi mzsitcheron,
Congrats on your case !
Were you a USC when filing the petition on May, 2012 ?
-
Staying more than 6 months is risky for your later naturalization process.
In addition, you will be required to show your continuation of residence in the USA.
Make your re-search before staying for more than 6 months in oversea destination.

I also wanted to join in the Journey with all of you - The October 2012 filers!
Please, feel free to add me as a friend.

Hi November filers !
My story : i have filed as a LPR on May 5, 2012 and have been upgraded to IR-1 on October 22, 2012 after getting USC.
Currently, waiting response back on NOA2.
Is there anyone who also become USC recently and upgraded their case to IR-1?

If you could provide your records of communication with her (phone, chat, sms, etc..) during that years with some pictures and wedding ceremony, it should be ok.
