The people who are the most outspoken for any certain group or cause that they support tend to do more harm than good.

I asked that question earlier in this thread. Think that was what got Marvin all riled up. No, they did not protest Mr. Dooley not being arrested at the scene. No, they did not protest his being out on bail until his trial. And no, they did not protest when Mr. Dooley was set free following his conviction just because his lawyers are appealing the verdict. They can obviously appeal the verdict but Mr. Dooley ought to sit locked up while that appeal is proceeding. Again, imagine Zimmerman gets convicted and then released while his lawyers appeal the conviction. I'm sure we'll get a visit from the Rev's Al and Jackson in the sunshine state then. Of course, if the perp is black and offed a whitey, then it's okay that he gets to walk a free man even though he's a convicted killer. This may be why I don't take these clowns all that seriously.

I know that if I'm on the phone, and some weirdo starts following me, I'm staying on the phone and relaying the info to the person I'm talking to. Seems like a logical decision to me.

that isn't necessarily true. gz could have chased him down and then told tm to sit tight, or even come with him to meet the cops. who knows what led to poor gz getting a little bit of #### handed back?
gz was acting as if he were a cop, like he had a right to track this kid down. but from tm's perspective he wouldn't have come across as a cop at all, especially if gz never made any sort of claim to tm concerning his reason for following him.
and stating tm fought to 'teach a lesson' is an assumption. adrenalin and fear are instinctive responses in threatening situations. maybe tm should have kept on running, since he was so close to home. more importantly, imo, he should have never been pursued in the first place.

You tell your kids to go kick his a$$ if they are followed. If they end up getting shot over it, so be it.

As far as the evidence showing TM tried to get away, there is no evidence until it is presented at trial. Until then, it's just a bunch of B.S. floating around in the media.

I see where they're going with it. It doesn't help to tell someone that afterward and obviously someone shouldn't have to think that way. But we all do risk avoidance stuff day to day whether it makes sense or not. I typically won't fill up with gas when I see a lot of bars on windows. I don't walk certain places by myself at night. Its not a good idea to "go drinkin" without a friend no matter what sex you are. Guys are likely to get mugged or targeted for an altercation when alone in certain circumstances.
