  1. Hi Sonjat

There is an issue please read below the letter they gave me after interview.

    Dear Visa Applicant

This is to confirm that your immigrant visa case has been tentatively approved.
Please return on August 15th at 2.00 p.m for likely visa issuance.
We recommend that you do not make any final travel plans until after you pick up your visa, as there are sometimes unexpected delays in issuing visas.
    please call the consular section
    Note:
Tentatively approved means visa is not sure still right?
Sonjat they dnt ask my hubby's tax details and i-864 which they asked me to bring for the interview, dnt ask wedding/reception photos, they took my finger prints, took my passport, took orths and ask some questions about my hubby and family, finally they gave the letter saying as written above.
Doest this mean still my visa not sure do i want to take all my documents again tomorw? I am still stuck some where sad.png

This is the last post I can write. I'm in Alabama and now on my way to Maine.

Take all your documents with you one more time. (It can't hurt to have them with you)

Make no travel arrangements means only that they don't know how quick your visa is being attached to your passport.

It takes a special department to attach visas to passport.

You can do nothing but to attend your next meeting and find out for sure what the situation is.

You have come this far...everything will work out well.

Good luck...and you be home soon.

  2. Have fun and relax on your vacation after the long stressing journey. Uh huh...I know you're broke. tongue.png

Yeah, you silly. I am broke. Europe is on vacation schedule...prices are sky high in the travel department.

I wish you well too. The officer did like that I have worked in the nursing field.

I do need to get my nursing license renewed (a new test)

and my drivers license expired last year (another test)

    Never ending in keeping busy...

  3. Congrats to you, did they said your result once the interview over? What question did they asked you?

I have to wait two more weeks to get appointment date from NVC.Tuesday u have to face the interview, advance wishes.

Yes...Monday night becomes a long night. Hope every one of my alarm clocks are ringing.

Its a long ride to the city. After this I go to South Africa. hahaha....

This is no joke. I like the thought of teaching there.

  4. fyi paying the green card fee before leaving is NOT mandatory

it is for the production of the card and can be paid from the states as well

the 551 stamp in the passport is the equivalent of a green card good for a year

This is good info. But personally I rather pay before.

This way I don't have to think about it no more...

Kind of the last payment closes the journey and when I arrive a new one is to start.

    Just my personal preference.

  5. I am talking about next mail from NVC, that is when they will mail me the appointment date for my interview.I remember for you, within a week you got email from NVC,saying this is your interview date and time.Like that, readerchoice got next email after one month or more. For me i dnt no.

Mine: NVC closed case...received email 1or 2 weeks later. Between email and interview I waited close to another 4 more weeks.

  6. How long average waiting to get appointment date? what will be the next step once case got completed at NVC? Can i email local embassy for inquiry?

Mine was about 5 or 6 weeks from NVC closing to interview date.

I received email with date and instruction.

You need to check with your embassy what you can do. (Mine is different?)

    Time runs fast...

Your 864, your medical, have your shoots up to date, I needed envelope for my passport to be returned to me (check with your embassy)''''

    LOTS to do...ClockWatch2.gifgood.gif

  7. yes off course,i am so wondering what has happen to my hubby,he do all the work perfectly and brave too,i really can't believe why he made mistake ever for second time.may be he is sick of my paper work,i dnt no.

This is silly. It happens. If you can fill out the form and attach it to email for your hubby. Kind of email it back and forth until you are both pleased with the correction.

But he still needs to sign and send you supporting documents.

    You get it done. goofy.gif

  8. yes i am done with NVC but have to submit correct form during interview.Hope now i have to wait for interview date from NVC???

Make sure time is not slipping away. These are documents and Forms your hubby sends to you. This takes time. You yourself have to prepare for your interview. Time is running.

Maybe someone can help to fill out the Form. There seems a problems of misunderstanding the meaning of the form. You don't want a third checklist. Its time for you to get home....

  9. Please read below one and guide me,i think we have to correct the form and take it during interview date.Is it?

    _F - FINANCIAL EVIDENCE:______________________________________

NVC has completed the review of this case. However, our review of the I-864, I-864EZ, I-864W or I-864A (if applicable) Affidavit of Support form and supporting documents that you have submitted indicates that there is still some missing documentation.

We are sending you the attached checklist, which indicates which documents are still missing. You should obtain these documents and forward them to the visa applicant so they may be presented at the final interview. The applicant must present all required forms and documents, including the missing items to the Consular officer at the visa interview.

Please pay specific attention to questions marked in the attached I-864, I-864EZ, I-864W or I-864A checklist.

Failure to present the missing items indicated and/or to make the necessary corrections at the visa interview could result in a denial or delay in obtaining a visa for the sponsored applicant.

If you need a new I-864 form, please visit the Department of State website at the following address: www.ImmigrantVisas.state.gov and read the Affidavit of Support (I-864) instructions. From there you can fill out the form online and print it to send to the visa applicant for the interview.

You will be notified when an interview has been set. Do not contact post regarding your interview date until you have been notified.

Please review the instructions below then refer to the final page of this checklist for mailing instructions. [x] NVC Special Instructions

    From what I read...wow...

    1. Your case is done with NVC

    2. You will receive your interview date.

    3. Your HUBBY needs to send you a complete I-864. A new one. He needs to redo the whole Form. From what I read lots of the basic information was filled out incorrectly.

    4. Your HUBBY needs to send to you all the missing documents they ask for.

    5. It will be you now..... you take the correct I-864 with you to your interview.

    6. Make really sure everything is filled out correctly and documents are together, and signed by your HUBBY.

You have only one shoot at this or your interview will be re scheduled.

This is a handful to handle. But you can do it.

  10. I think photos is just optional if you have it great if don't it fine. Even if you shown photos, honest they wouldn't know how the petitioner look like anyway. You will do just fine. Make sure you paid the GC fee before leaving Germany.

Thanks. You're right. It makes sense for them not to know. My daughter looks like my grandmother. lol We always have facebook. I have to refrain from taking my backpack to the consulate. Need to find another bag. But yes, I'm fine and ready. I have nothing to think off beforehand and take the question as it comes. My son is starting the University this September. I'm so proud. There was a constant back and forth in papers too.

  11. Thanks Sonjat. I'm not sure about US Embassy at Germany requirements on interview for IR-5?, but Embassy where my MIL had interview required photos of mother & petition together, which is not on their checklist requirement or what to bring on interview date. It something we just asks others that had interview before us. Well I hope everything will go smooth on Tuesday interview and you will be soon united with your childrens.

Yeah. Its coming closer. Any plans for your MIL arrival. I say with me having filed an I-407 they see my being here was unexpected long. That I didn't carry anything with me. I sure have some pics in my purse. But as a single mother I'm the one behind the camera. hahah

  12. Hi Sonjat, her interview has been approved and now awaiting for visa to be arrive in the mail. CO only ask her couple questions about her daughter & the co-sponsor ( of course me). Show few photos of her and her daughter together and that was all.

Good luck to you on Monday interview it won't be too bad as far as my understanding from my MIL interview.good.gif

Congratulation..this is good news. Finally you get your family together (wife happy) just kidding.

I don't have any pictures. I'm a mother without pictures. Everything is in the states. I'm sure this doesn't create a problem.

I only came here with a suitcase. My appointment is on Tuesday. Wishing you and the yours all well and yhe best.smile.png
