Now showing 8.2 months at VSC for processing. I won't be moving until July/August at this rate
I just checked. Showed 5.4 month. How come such a difference??
-
They have updated the USCIS Processing Time Information for VSC today, now it doesn't say anymore "5 months", now it displays the date: May 21st, 2012 for I-130 Field Office Processing Dates for Vermont Service Center as of: October 30, 2012
So according to this, it seems that during whole November they processed between may 14th and may 20th, now maybe whole December will be to process the rest of May?
I hate complaining, but this is more like venting...I don't know when will we finally see an update in our case and once again, we won't spend Christmas together, flight tickets are really expensive around those dates, so we have no choice
Yes I think you're right!! Sounds way more clear to me the way you have explained it!!! Thank you
This is not venting. This is speaking out what many of us feel. My first Christmas without my children. I got to face the facts, its slow going. There is a tremendous financial cost supporting two households for such a long time. Now I'm venting.

Thank you! I was wondering how to opt in!
Your talking about the Sign-up for Electronic Processing ??? NVCElectronic@state.gov sign up with case number.
My understanding is: You begin to receive email correspondence only. You must reply only by email.
Forms and documents by email must be scanned and attached to an email as PDF message.
In subject line always enter "optin #" followed by your case number. Refer only to one case per email.
For Family based petition: Applicants and petitioner's full name, email address, date of birth.
This is only my understanding. Please correct me when I'm wrong.

No
Thank you. I assume I have to send DS-230 snail mail to the USA . Need to check into this.
-
Canada does the DS260 online.
Do you know if Germany does the DS-260 ? Think it might be better than DS-230 snail mail.
-
That's a good advice, Cesar & Cata thank you!! it seems that NVC process speed is up to us, if we get delayed with the documents and payments they need, the process is gonna be delayed in consequence.
I'm so ready. I might get through the paperwork before Christmas. But I'm sure the actual interview will be after.

My time Zone. I have Monday the 3rd. Still no nothing.
Any up dates?
-
It come to my understanding that everyone who filed in August with Vermont got diverted.
Vermont is trying to catch up May, June and July.
I like for someone to post some good news.

Hello everyone
Any approvals for June Filers?
No..nothing on my side. Wondered myself.
-
My despair amounts to the chain reaction this creates for me. I'm here on a suitcase...
I wondered if they count only weekdays. I have a black Friday humor today.
Lets keep our hopes up for next week.
I never disliked holidays and weekends as much as I do now (LOL)
-
Okay, reality for me means I don't get home until well into January.
Every paperwork thereafter amounts to time.
The final interview date takes time.
Germany is having too many holidays. Consulate is closing down too.
I feel despair.
-
We have to look at the bright side. Eventually we all get approved. Our I-130 only confirms who we are !!
I hope after this Thanksgiving weekend we have some result.
I wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving.
-
Oh I see. Sorry about that. I thought you were saying that you were already at that stage.
I apologize not having been clear in my writing. I will update my timeline when NOA 2 happens.
My purpose is to get a handle on the steps after I-130 approval.
-
Sounds like you're now in the NVC stage. There is a board for this specifically. See here: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/forum/83-national-visa-center-dept-of-state/
I'm not in the NVC stage. I still wait for NOA 2. I just hope and try getting my mind wrapped around what needs doing.
Hopping to still accomplish everything in December.
I was told not to wait for NOA 2 to be mailed (often 10-20 days). Just to give NVC a call after I-130 approval. They would provide me the case number.
-
Nice hearing from you guys. I'm 5 mo. 1 wk.
Anyone knows what we can file online ??
It talks of signing up for the electronic processing with the case number.
To call NVC hotline (603)334-0700 after they received the package. Says they give the case number (saves on time)
Scanning the DS-3032 as PDF
Pay the $88 online, wait for it to appear as paid in the payment portal.
For me, scanning the 1 page I-864w as PDF
Pay the $230 plus $74 surcharge online, wait for it to appear as paid in the payment portal.
Send DS-230 (or electronic)
Mail DS-2001 to consulate for interview readiness (how long until appointment)
Medical
I get more confused, as much more I think of it. I'm not sure if electronic emailing is available in every country.

This is great. I'm not walking crazy alone. I got all my papers ready for after I-130 approval. Hoping I can run run it all through emailing. I'm not sure if I should be delighted that I don't have to cook this Thanksgiving, or feel sad. This situation feeds on my substance.
-
Just filled the e-request. Computerized, tells me my processing is still within their timeline. My PD is June 12th.
Nice to know I'm at least in their computer system.
-
This is really good news. Congratulation.
Maybe its our turn now.
Don't know when to request an inquire.
I wait till next week to make the decision.
With you being PD, June 8, they might have reached June.
-
Today is the 12th, but a Federal Holiday. I've reached the 5 month. I don't dare to make an inquire, afraid my papers end on the bottom. I followed this thread throughout the beginning. Want to Thank you all. Its good knowing I'm not alone in the waiting process. Still don't understand. The timeline moved back to April 28. How can I figure the true time?
-
This is my second time around for the Green Card. Held my GC for the past 20 years. Never leaving the US until my father got sick and passed away. I stayed out too long. I sit in Germany with one suitcase, hoping to return home eventually. Miss my children. Second time around feels scarier. I have everything to lose if I don't get approved. Got all the papers ready, but lose faith at times. What if someone just likes to decided against my returning. This situation takes emotional energy. My first Thanksgiving alone, most likely Christmas too. The timeline keeps jumping more back than forward. No longer sure its correct.

Hello, I'm PD, June 12. Hope for NOA 2 soon.

I haven't seen any approvals myself.
My PD is June 12th.
There isn't anything to do but wait and being patient. I thought this threat is all about the I-130.
A good time to prepare for the after effect.
