"Application Type: I130 , IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR RELATIVE, FIANCE(E), OR ORPHAN

Your Case Status: Post Decision Activity

On March 4, 2014, we mailed you a notice that we have approved this I130 IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR RELATIVE, FIANCE(E), OR ORPHAN. Please follow any instructions on the notice. If you move before you receive the notice, call customer service at 1-800-375-5283."

Congratulations :D Please update your timeline :)

  2. At October i received from USCIS:

Your case has been accepted and routed to the USCIS Nebraska Service Center for processing. Within 7-10 days by standard mail you will receive your official Receipt Notice (Form I-797) with your Receipt Number **************. With the official Receipt Notice (Form I-797) you may visit www.uscis.gov where you can check the status of your case using My Case Status. We suggest you wait until you have received your Form I-797 before checking My Case Status.

I am considering for transfer below mentioned notice: (I haven't received i was expecting to get such kinds of)

On Certain Month **, *****, we transferred your I130, IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR RELATIVE, FIANCE(E), OR ORPHAN, to your local USCIS Office for further processing. The new office has jurisdiction over your case and will send you a decision as soon as processing is complete or you will be notified if further information or action is needed. (Based on http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/465744-transferred-i130-to-local-uscis-office-for-further-processing/)

Question: Because of i am filer after October 21 doesn it mean i wont get such transfer notice which tells me that i am sent to my local USCIS office ? Guys are you waiting such notice or notice which i received at October about transfer to Certain service centre.

    Any useful respond is appreciated!

I think all files after a certain date in October went straight to Service Centres rather than NBC which means by the look of the message you received you are filed at Nebraska so there will be no transfer you will just be in the queue for processing.

  3. My husband will be here tomorrow for 3 weeks. I'm thinking CSC is waiting for him to be here. If we can get that approval and have him here with me face to face - just thinking about it gives me goosebumps! I should simmer down, now!

Anyhoo, even though my other half will be here, I will still be updating the spreadsheet (although probably not as active on this thread). Deep has graciously volunteered to help me out and is the other admin, so please don't think I'm leaving you all high and dry!

Don't worry about us just spend some quality time with your hubby, we all need that :D

  4. Yea I was hoping to get lucky, but nope. I'm going to guess we went to CSC also, seems to be that the same day transfers go to the same service centers. And after tomorrow night I really won't be thinking about where it is until I get back into the states. I just can't wait to see my husband its been almost 8 months since we saw each other last.

Have a great time with your husband samni, make the most of your time together, we all know that those couple of weeks we get are the most precious times :)

  5. That's great news! Here's a question: would it help to have the next set of documents they request prepared ahead of time? If so, what would those things be? Thanks.

I would say it wouldn't hurt to be prepared. Just be careful win police certificates as they apparently have an expiry date in some countries.

Once we get approval I intend to start preparing for NVC even though it's taking a while to get a case number, I just want everything to run as smoothly as possible without delays because we weren't prepared. There are lots of help guides within the monthly Nvc thread if you want to have a look at what you will need.

  6. Huh. I just got off with a very friendly Tier 1 who told me the explanation behind the transfer is that there is a backlog with my particular type of file and they are trying to balance the workload between the different service centers and it appears that my case was transferred to a local office but she did not know which one. When I played all innocent and asked if there was something wrong, she said no, that this happens quite often. Did anyone else get this sort of honesty when they called? I'm currently waiting for a callback within the next half hour. Fingers crossed.

I think my hubby had a similar sort of conversation :D

  7. When I called this morning, I got a really nice Tier 1 agent. He didn't read from any screens but just off the cuff let me know what it meant to be transferred to a local service center (since I was playing dumb). He then asked if I would like to be transferred to an agent who could tell me what service center I was transferred to. I said sure and he transferred me. I then did the call back and it said 47 minutes. It ended up only being 20 minutes before I got a call back ! biggrin.png

Awesome :D You did good babe xx

  8. As I had to go find this for my hubby I thought I would bump up the transcript for calling USCIS to find out where your case has been transferred ...

IF YOU WANT TO KNOW EXACTLY WHERE YOUR CASE IS: you have 2 options. The first is to wait for the letter from USCIS, the second is to call USCIS. If you want to call, here is my suggestion, and it has worked for a few of us on here smile.png

Call 1-800-375-5283. You must be the petitioner, USCIS will not speak with the beneficiary. Option 1 for English. Then option 2. Option 1 to enter your receipt number (enter your receipt number). Then press 3 to get connected to a customer service agent.

The first agent you speak with will not know any specifics about your case. What the agent will do is simply read what is on the screen (the same screen we're looking at when we check our case status online). When you get the agent on the phone, feign ignorance about your case. "I just got three e-mails about my case being transferred and I'm really confused". The agent will read the screen, at which point you can say "So where did my case go? Why is it going to the local office? I've never heard of I-130s going to the local office? Is there something wrong with my file?" The agent will likely re-read the screen. At this point, simply request to be transferred to a Tier 2 agent who can provide more specifics on your case.

If the agent you're speaking to is a jerk face and won't transfer you, hang up and try again smile.png

Once you're transferred, you'll get an obnoxious hold time, you can request a call back - there's a prompt that will walk you through that process. The Tier 2 agent will call you back. Start the same conversation again "I'm confused, where's my case going. I keep getting e-mails that my case is being transferred. Is there something wrong". The agent should let you know where it went.

The petitions are not being transferred to Lee's Summit. That's where they've been. Do not accept this as an answer from the customer service agent. If this is all too much for you, relax. You'll get a nice pretty letter from USCIS soon telling you where it went, but for impatient people like me, try the tactic listed above. Play dumb, but be firm in getting an answer. This is your petition, you have every right to know where it is.

  9. YAY! I'm thinking about calling today too. Just got my 2nd text and email. smile.png

Would be interesting to see if there is a pattern developing :)

We also got transffered yesterday... i hope we are also csc! Going to call them during my lunch break.... btw i work 5 miles away from csc.. i wish i could just go and approve all of our cases!! Lol .. so close yet so far!!! Hahah

Ha ha, do it, do it lol

Oh man, you should sneak in and set up a surveillance camera to see if they're actually working or twiddling their thumbs. lol

    lmao, that would be funny!

  10. We had the same message last night, my husband called up USCIS to find out where our case has gone, we are at California. smile.png

I am happy for you. This process is really testing my faith, my patience, and importantly my marriage. I realize my husband is really the man for me after going through this.

If we can get through this we can get through anything life throws at us, this is probably the most testing/stressful thing I've ever been through
