Do we need to have the local registrar sign it? Or we can have the parents signature then the notary public
Just let your parents sign it then the atty.
-
Yes... That's more than enough...
you're good to go.

Have your fiance call the nvc 2 weeks after oct. 11 to know your mnl case number then you can pay the interview fee at BPI then wait after 24 hrs after that you can schedule your interview online or by phone. They don't usually send the packet anymore, thoe some of the vj members had received one but it's rare coz I didn't receive any packet.
Here is the link for packet 3...

I'm sorry to hear that your agency can't help you just ask here in VJ our fellow members are much willing to answer all your queries.
Good luck!

That's exactly right. You probably will not have to worry about it now since you got through CFO without them asking for it. You got lucky. Even a 24 years old member here had to bring advice with her because they did ask for it. I don't think the CO is going to ask for it at the interview. You should be fine with your CENOMAR, but, you never know.
In other news, there is a poster on here that posted within the last couple of days that his I-129F petition was denied. He was given an RFE for is fiancee's parental consent (Filipina). Instead of complying with the RFE, he wrote back that there must be a mistake. He was denied. This was a surprise to me really when I read it. This is a huge exception because this is the first time I have heard anyone needing it for the petition, but the adjudicator can request these things. Unfortunately, he was denied because he didn't respond to the RFE properly. Usually, this "consent" or "advice" form is only asked for by the CFO. I think it's safe to say it is very rare if anyone else is asking for it throughout this whole process.
Yup.. But just in case that they want to have that parental advise I decided to get jt yesterday, I thought I will just get the form in the civil registry and in my surprise the lady in there gave me a note she wrote down parental advice then the name of the atty. she told to me to go outside the municipal and go to the atty's office. When I spoke to the atty. she told me that she will be the one who will be making the advice and it will cause 1200 pesos that includes the notary of the document. Me and my mother was shock coz the lady in the civil registry said that it will just cause 200 pesos, but I'm caught up and I just decided to pay that 1200 pesos.
Yes...I also read that one. I think it will be a case to case basis and how lucky a one person can be.
When in doubt, just obtain them parental advise and bring them to your interview to avoid delays or possible denial.
Good luck!
Yes. I decided to get it yesterday. Thanks!

I just need a help on this:
I read from the flow chart that the embassy sends documents to the beneficiary with a date of interview already. But why is that others here in VJ says that you have to ask your manila case # and call the embassy to schedule an interview??
i am also confuse about the documents that the benificiary will receive, its says in flowchart here that the benificiary must complete the list and send some docs back to the embassy and bring other docs when going to interview, BUT Some here did not receive any documents..
I am really confuse.. My NOA2 is oct 3... And i dont know what to do next..
It depends on what type of visa application but in our case we are the one who is responsible for scheduling our interview.
I myself, did not receive any documents the fellow vj members here just told me what to do...
2 weeks after you received your noa2 your petitioner can call the nvc to know your case number, the case number is the key to your medical and interview so even though you did not receive anything from the embassy you can still proceed with your interview and medical.
Good luck!
Btw..here is the link for the packet 3...

why would you need parental consent? you're both 23. you're both adults.
That's what I thought too... But theres a different rule here in the Philippines we need a parental consent/advise for our seminar we can't go outside the country if we don't have that seminar and in some cases the consul also look for that consent/advise for some of the Pinays who had their interview.
If we Filipinos are 21-24 we need a parental advise
And if the Filipino is 21 below they need a parental consent.
-
This is a no brainer.
Wow! Your being mean and rude... SMH... FYI it's not stated in the packet 3 or in the i29f that we should have that parental consent or advise.

november 5 is my medical.
Ok..good luck.. Do you know the docs that you need to bring?

They don't usually send the packet but some vj members had received one. Coz I myself didn't receive it but with the help of the good people here they let me know what are the docs that I needed to comply.. Are you done with your medical?
-
Wow that's pretty great. Did they even asked for it? I am going to have my seminar in Cebu but it will months and months from now. I think I'll just secure one but just make a letter on my own format but have it notarized, hope it should be fine. Thanks for your input
Nope... They didn't ask for it, yeah just secure one in case they ask for it.
good luck!

With the CFO seminar, did you obtain a parental advice at the local registry office? or you made a letter have your parents signed it and have it notarized. Does that one works?
Nope.. I did not bring any of those and still they allowed me to have the seminar. Just bring two valid id's your nbi clearance, passport, BC, and the form that you can DL at there website.
I already have my cenomar and I'm also done with the cfo seminar I just have to go back at there office to get the sticker. I see... Thanks for the correction...
-
It usually isn't requested for the interview. However, there have been exceptions. You WILL need a CENOMAR though. Regarding parental consent, even if they don't request it at the interview, it more than likely will be requested at your CFO seminar. It would be best to obtain it just in case.
EDIT: Parental ADVICE is needed for ages 21-24, not consent. The PH government has forms for both.

Get Parental Consent and CENOMAR.
Go to your Local Civil Registry to obtain Parental Consent form.
Thanks!
does my fiance's parents also needs to write that parental consent?

Me and my fiance are both 23 yrs old. I read some post here that someone got denied because she didn't bring some parental consent. My question is do we need to have the parental consent from our parents? I'm just being paranoid right now because my interview will be this coming friday and I just wanted everything to be ready.
Thanks in advance for the response.
Quoted:
hi everyone, i was reading a topic today about one of those petitioners who got their petition denied - on basis of no parental consent given on the part of the beneficiary which will make her free to marry anyone as she is only 19 yrs old (she's a Filipina and per Phil.law, anyone below the age of 24 needs parental consent to marry).
-
so, she clarified but you are still reluctant ? what's up ?
Some close friend told me that I have to be married then adjust my status before I can apply for the ss number.
Ok.. Thank you guys for the infos!
-
Sure!
Thanks!
same here I will keep you guys in my prayers as well.
-
So I wrote down some notes from the PDOS seminar, one of the counselor said that once we get in the states we could apply for SS number after two weeks even though I'm not still married with my fiance. Is that true? I did clarify that to her but she said the same thing again but still I'm quite reluctant to what she has said.
-
Maybe you have the same name there or you just been a victim of identity theft?
-
I feel you... My interview is on friday and I'm so nervous right now that I can't even sleep and it's 12am here in the Philippines. Just think positive and everything will be alright. The minimum required earnings for the household of two is $ 18,912 so you have nothing to worry about. Good luck to us!

My fiances interview is 7:30 am. Here is the link to there website, phone number is on the site.
Thank you!

I have contacted St Raphael Travel and Tours in Metro Manila. They quoted me a price for oneway Manila to San Francisco on Dec 3 for $587 on Cathay Pacific. That is total price including 1620 pecos Philippine travel tax. They said they can offer these special rates for K1 Visa applicants on three airlines, Philippine Air, American Airlines, and Cathay Pacific. I have never used them so I have been reluctant to purchase the ticket. I am glad you posted this topic because I am also wondering if these travel agencies are legit. Their prices and discount first time immigrant fares are very cheap. Im really tempted to buy ticket as I really like Cathay Pacific.
Wow! That's a good deal already too.. Can you give me their number so I can call them?
btw... We have the same interview date... What time is yours?
Awwwwww.... :(

I know I'm such a worrier. Tomorrow is my interview and I read a post that the pre-screener in the USEM ask for a Statement of service and Member Data Summary of her fiancé, knowing that my fiancé is also in the military I'm afraid that they will also try to ask me about those documents and to think that I don't have those is really freaking me out.
To all my fellow Filipina who's fiancé's are also in the military, did the pre-screener or the consul also look at Statement of service and Member Data Summary of your fiancé?
