Hey Everyone,
I had my interview for CR-1 visa the morning of 23rd of July 2020 at the US Embassy in Paris. Consular Officer told me my visa was approved and I will receive my passport in 7 to 10 business days with the visa stamp.
I just checked CEAC and it now says "Administrative Processing". I've read a lot of horrible stories about administrative processing with people being stuck for weeks and even months on end without any reason being given.
I'm wondering if a few days of "administrative processing" is the case for every visa and the CEAC will switched to issued in a few days? or should I brace for some possibly longer delays??
Would love to hear from other people in Paris and other embassies!
Thanks a lot
that is normal for it to go in that status
you should get your visa soon!
Congrats!!!!

She has pay stubs yes.
What are tax transcripts? are they available if 2019s taxes haven't been filed yet?
you should write a letter and send copy of paystubs as well that should help if they add up that you made enough for 2019

Does your wife have paystubs for this year that also can help

Hello! My wife and me have been under administrative processing for a while, and she got a call from the US Embassy today and was asked to pick up her passport from the US Embassy in Ghana this coming Monday. The status of our case was updated today, on the Ceac Website, but still says that we are under administrative processing... It has not been updated to “denied” or “approved.” Is there any chance that her visa might have been approved, but not updated to “approved???” This whole process is killing us! Here is an email my wife got (with personal information crossed out). Thank you!
I believe you case was approved Congrats!!

My payment for the K-1 Visa got accidentally cancelled. Now the bank says that for security they won't release the money to the Dep. of HOmeland Security. I read that if the payment isn't cleared they will cancel the petition. Has anyone encountered this? It is Friday night and I cannot call anyone until Monday. I am freaking out hoping that I will be able to send them a new check and that I won't have to resubmit all the forms. Help?
They will send you back the package with a slip on top simply re do a check or money order and send it back all you need to do is re do the check no problem you will not loose the petition you just have to re submit I hads the same problem back in 2012 just that I wrote the wrong amount and USCIS sent it back. but i had it corrected and sent with my k1 package

I am so confused. We have scheduled my husband's interview at the Guatemala Embassy and I have always been under the impression that the USC spouse can attend the interview. When I emailed to ask the Guatemala Embassy if it is possible to bring my baby (who breastfeeds, I cant leave her with anyone), I was told that only my husband could go to the interview. Is this normal? Thanks!
Yes the petitioner can go. I went with my husband back then fiance on the K1 visa (Guatemala embassy). A women that went to on the same day as our appointment was actually asked why the petitioner was not with her. It is up to you to decide. you have the same chances with or with out the petitioner they are not as strict. I don't know about the baby but if they don't let the baby in then just stay outside and if your husband is asked where you are your husband can simply say she is outside because we have a baby whom we can't leave with anyone but my wife.

Have your USC spouse file the I-130 for AOS and once you receive the NOA from them receiving the petition you are granted a legal status to remain in the US......
http://www.visajourney.com/content/i130guide2
Do you have a 2 year home stay rule for the J-1 you are on? That you may need to get a waiver for but that is really all.
no not true someone was caught by ICE while having the NOA it clearly says this does not grant immigration status

Hi everyone!
My husband and I are getting ready to send off our AOS package and we were confused about which evidence to include. It seems that we don't need to send any evidence of our wedding or marriage at this point, but we really feel that we should include something. We've read a lot of posts about people receiving RFEs after filing for AOS, and we're wondering if that's connected to evidence of marriage, or just errors on the form. We were thinking of including some evidence about the actual wedding (photos, maybe some rental contracts) and leaving the financial comingling for the interview. What did everyone else send along with the AOS? If you received an RFE, what for?
Thank you so much!
When my husband and i went trhour the aos process we included the cetificate of marriage. and once we sent it out in our waiting process we collected evidence like some people said in this forum there is not a for sure their will be an interview. We actually were one of the "LUCKY" people that had and interview, we had evidence but we as well received an RFE at interview for more evidence so my advise to you is collect as much proff as possible as case is pending. (joint bank account, pictures, bills on both names etc.

they did that to me back in 2013 they actually sent post to everyone that year. If its something you might be interested in go for it
-
I did
I had all my paperwork under my single name and when i got married I used my husbands name for the AOS (I am the US Citizen) their was no problem. It is obvious name was changing. I as well changed my name in the Social Security office ASAP as soon as i got married.

He needs to file for CRBA to get the child a US passport, as US citizens cannot get visas to enter the USA. The K1 for the fiance will not be approved until that is done.
Consequently, the child will not need a visa, but will need to be counted in the household for affadavit of support purposes.
hello,My friend became a naturalized citizen he wants to bring his fiancee and their child to the USA. Can the child be included in the k1 application or does the child need to file another kind of form? (child was born before my friend became a naturalized citizen) -
I don't get your question....
If a USC IS applying for a Fiancee with a child he can do a K2 it is linked to the K1 only one application just list the child.
When he goes to the embassy for the interview he will need visa fees for both and medical for both. Also child's mothers permission to travel and his birth certificate listed as dad.
I'm confused if your friends here he can't do a k2 h needs to submit and i130 for the child
sorry i must have been typing to fast
My friend became a US citizen after his son was born in his Country and he is applying for a k1 for his fiancee the mother of his child.
Can he be included in the K1 application.
thank you so much for your response

Hello,
My friend is applying for a k1 visa with their son does he add him to the i129 or does he do seprate and is it diffferent checks and what documents does the child need? (he just became a naturalized US citizen after their son was born)
