Im really sorry im sure someone already asked this but im still having a hard time understanding. My husband came her on a k1 visa we filed AOS and are schedules for an interview i was wondering he completed his medical in late May 2013 and the doctor gave him a DS-3025 it says complete. Im not certain if we need to see a Civil surgeon and get the form 1-693?
Very sorry if someone already asked this and im re-asking about it. Ive been searching but dont really understand because some say yes and some say no.Thank you for you answer,
Emi

That is fast, I got my biometrics take the same date and it still says initial review.. But well good luck!! And on the interview it is normal!!
Thank you!! (:
When is your husband biometrics? My bio was last oct 21 and my status updated also for testing and interview just yesterday..
My husbands biometrics was on october 15. Wow very fast as well
No, it is not bad. In fact those that are having interviews are typically being approved faster than those that are approved without one.
Thank you very much for the info

Hi everybody
Just a quick concern
My husbands case changed to interview and testing for aos is that a bad thing? Were a little bit scared. What can we expect? Any feed back would be great..

Hi KmOm0629,Hello!
I was wondering if anyone could tell me about how long it took for thier Packet to Get to the embassay thier spouse is in. My husband is in guatemala and I am trying to pin point some kind of wait time for this part and can not find anything....I am signing the paper work on Friday the 13th (I know wish me Luck) and then they will send them out the following monday...
Once they recieve this packet how long does it take for them to contact the beneficiary??? I am just looking for an estimated wait time, thank you all! !!!
Mines took only a day to get to guatemala they sent it one day and got it the next it was pretty fast but I dont know if it was normal for that to happen. what i did was i payed for the interview apointment online as soon as i called DOS and they verified the packet was there. Since you have to wait till next day to see what they have open i did that and there was no dates avaiable so i called the embassy in guatemala and told them about it and that i wanted a date they will tell you to wait but you can ask them if they can escalate your petition for a date the i was contacting them everyday they some will hang up on you and some are very nice but dont give up. they are really quick answering emails as well.

The child is 3 years old. That is more than 2 years.....
yeah but isnt the requirement to have met 2 years before the filled petion they did meet in 2007 as it says on his signature doesnt that count?

Hii!!
Another September filer here!! Good Luck to all of us!!

In short:
So I just came from visiting my fiance and left Christopher (our son) with her for some time with his mother. He was 6 months old the last time she held him before this visitation. He's now 3 years old and I reunited him with his mother last week. It was a very emotional event for us at the airport after so long of dealing against so many barriers for our family. I'd like to know if I should send the proof of this travel to the service center that is processing my case now. I kind of want to send it with a copy of my NOA1 and the transfer notice, even if some say it might not make it to my case's file.
With more details:
I'd to share some insights about our I-129F, and I'm open to any feed back. Even if you believe we wouldn't be approved. I trust God what's best for us more than what I trust the lawyers who gave me no hope on this case. I hope my case can be of help and reference to others. So...
We didn't meet within the two years prior the submission of the I-129F due to financial limitations, and me waiting to become a U.S. Citizen. I was a permanent resident when she had to buy her ticket to leave upon the request of the immigration services, and you know the I-129F is only for a U.S. petitioner. Financial limitation was primarily for me being a "single parent" raising our newborn. Lawyers and many other people said that I would be denied due to this requirement of meeting within 2 years, but I have a lot of faith in God that the adjudicator of my case will understand our situation and see that we are a real family with a strong relationship that keep fighting for our reunion. Basically, I've put God as my lawyer and sent the I-129F with a lot of prayers.
So I submitted the this I-129F as soon as I became a U.S. Citizen, just to get things moving while I could afford to travel with our son Christopher. I just went and spent a week with her and we had the best week on our lives since she had to leave. Would this visitation count positively to qualify us of meeting all requirements for the I-129F? I'd like to know how many think this case would be denied and how many think it might be approved. I was suggested to get married on this visitation and withdraw the I-129F to start a I-130 from scratch, but we had so much trust in God and we are so close to NOA2 that we decided to wait.
Anyway, I'm already considering on booking another flight to Guatemala on November. It will be either to go with her to go with her to the interview and come back with together with my son, or to go get married and submit a I-130 to keep the fight going. I trust God will do what's best for us. All I know is I won't give up to my family.
So... i just visited 3 months after NOA1. Should I send proof of this visitation to be added to my case at the office processing my case? I will because I trust in God. I'm hoping some one could learn from my case.
Thanks... Btw, she had a valid social security number and work permit. She left shortly after her last work authorization card expired and didn't qualify for another renewal.
I think you did meet the two year requirement. because you did have a child toghter who is now 3 years old i dont think it would be a problem. What better proof then that to keep you pettion.

We're about 7-8 weeks into our K1 visa journey before I discovered this resource/forum. I'm from Texas and my fiancé Iris is from Guatemala. We've known each other for a little over two years and got engaged back in May. No background or income issues, lot's of visits and relationship evidence... hoping for no RFE's and smooth sailing/quick approval.
Anyone have any specific experience with Guatemala K1's and the embassy there?
6/25/13: I29f filed
7/1/13: NOA1 received
8/9/13: Case transferred from Vermont to Texas
Now we wait!
Russ

you just fill it out and print two identical copies of the same page.

Hello,
Not sure if i understand you correctly. I had this problem a few months ago and i read somewhere in vj that the bank account doesnt matter as long as the US citizen makes above the poverty level.
-
I agrer its an espefiate request.maybe an expedite request
I meant i agree with this
-
What i have read and heard is that you can apply for a drivers license as long as you have a social security number which you can go to the social security office and apply for one
-
No problem (one tip check the example forms on this site they are very very helpful)
K1 Visa interview is on Jan 3, 2014!
