I can tell you what I was told to do, but you might call NVC and double check. If you have evidence you should scan and attach it.
I was told to address the email to:
ATTN PI SUPERVISOR SUE - YOUR CASE NUMBER
Then your email:
DATE
Dear Madam or Sir,
REQUEST FOR EXPEDITE - YOUR CASE NUMBER - LAST-NAME, FIRST-NAME INITIAL
BODY OF YOUR EMAIL
BENEFICIARIES NAME
DATE OF BIRTH
PETITIONERS NAME
DATE OF BIRTH

Yep, via Skype. I did, eventually, speak with an operator. IV packet hasn't been reviewed yet. Then asked about my expedite request - hasn't been forwarded to the embassy yet!!! So, I asked for a Supervisor and spoke with Ethan (really nice guy) and he said that the expedite had just been forwarded to the embassy today -- Ladies and Gentlemen, in the age of email, why does it take seven days to forward an email? I gather that the NVC defines the word Expedite differently than I do. He also described the "false checklist" as getting "crossed in the mail" with the IV packet. That indicates that they definitely don't scan packets in when they arrive in the mail room. I know,,,, small potatoes compared to the difficulties other's are having on this board.

Sarsoor reacted to oohpartiv in okay do i need to concerned or start freaking out????
There are people who filed at NBC in August who are still waiting. Just because you're not at Vermont or California doesn't mean it won't take that long. There are still thousands and thousands of petitions being filed. What you can do is call USCIS and speak to a Tier 2 rep to ask if you've been shipped to a local field office. If that's the case, you can find out more accurately how long it's taking for I-130s to get processed.

Ack, are you calling via skype? I hate when I've been waiting on hold for half an hour and as soon as a rep picks up, skype cuts the call. I have been seriously close to tossing my computer out the window a few times.
Keep us posted on what they say!

We are still moving together! I got my number today too!!! Plus she told me the same thing. I will call back tomorrow to see if there is an invoice number. I think that is what she was saying to wait for. She said my case was just entered today so I assume there is a small wait for the invoice number.

Sarsoor reacted to Andrea&Henry in Husband admits during medical he smoked weed 4 years ago
I know my case is different but I know how it feels to be worry about telling the truth. My now husband and I are related (we are 3rd cousins). When we decided to get married and applied for a k1 visa, we first went to an immigration lawyer (we didn't know anything about visajourney then) and when she was checking our case, she dumped our I129 f saying that we CAN'T say we are cousins. She destroyed ALL our forms and basically she started filling a new ones, full of a bunch of lies. Even when she created a whole perfect story, in our heart we felt, we were doing so wrong! I knew it was very very wrong. Even when already paid her like $300 just to begin (she wanted to charged us $1500 for take our case), we decided to destroy what she did and start from the scratch. That's when we found visajourney. Against all odds and against her adviced (and many people advices) we decided to do the right thing and tell the truth no matter what. When she found out she almost made fun of us, saying that we're not gonna make it. I was like "will see". We could stick to our lie cause he is a white blond and blue eyes 5'11 and I'm dark hair, dark skin 5'5 girl. Against all odds our process took only 7 month to be done, we had a great interview (the CO didn't care about us being related) and I've almost a year since I came here. We've no issues. My point is that sometimes doing the right thing is not always the easiest thing, sometimes, the right thing to do us against our common sense. Maybe he could had lie and nobody will noticed it, but, I truly think that God is watching us all the time. Pray, pray hard... I do believe in miracles

Keep in mind, both packages go to two different departments. Depending on the backlog in each department, one package can take longer than the other, just because it's going to take awhile for an officer to get to your package. So, in your case, there was probably more pending AOS packages than IV ones. Just the luck of the draw on your end.
Updated! Seriously, thanks for the reminder! I appreciate it as it forces me to update right away, instead of to keep postponing it for the mass update
Woohoo, congrats! It must have been assigned soon after you called
Definitely a good sign!
Spring break is something for school, not work.
These would be the days they would be closed (federal holidays): http://beta.opm.gov/policy-data-oversight/snow-dismissal-procedures/federal-holidays/#url=2013 There's of course the unforeseen snow days, but we can't predict those

Sarsoor got a reaction from Saylin in Proof of Ongoing Relationship
It's okay! I have them all in Arabic as well. They will not make any comment on it. If you are sending it with the I-130 packet, I would recommend putting a sticky note on it saying "proof of ongoing relationship" or something. If you are taking it to the interview, It should be fine since French is an official language in Algeria.

I don't know what they wanted, or if it makes a difference. I am asking if anyone had any experience with this. That is what he gave them. (isA) It is ok, I hope. They did not say anything at that point. I don't know if it will be a problem later.
Goes to show that you mush spell out every detail for your significant other, because sometimes you think you are on the same page...but you're not.
Hope thats the case. They didn't say anything at the medical about it.

Thank you so much for the information! I am sorry he had to wait that long ... I know how medical places in Egypt are not that organized, but one must be patient to get his stuff done! I will make sure I inform my husband about this information! Thanks a lot!

This second one told him to come in between 10am and ? anytime to be seen. He went Sunday. They took his papers and pictures and told him to have a seat... ended up taking 2 hours and him bugging the only front desk person before she asked if he had given her his passport yet. He hadn't because they told him they'd call him up. *eyeroll*
Less than 10 minutes after that they called him for the basic physical and health history questioning. Then it was back to the front desk who sent him down to Xray. They said they'd do it as soon as they had a machine, and they took his papers. An hour later, he was still sitting there while others had come after him and gone long ago. Again they grabbed his papers and miraculously found a machine empty.
Back to the front desk who sends him somewhere else downstairs to get some vaccination stuff. They actually gave him the needles. (O.o <-- this is the face of someone who works in the medical field here) The send him back up stairs to the vaccination woman, who is nowhere to be found for some time while the front desk person searches for her. They finally find her in the vaccination area doing absolutely nothing. Vaccination goes quickly.
Back to the front desk he goes, and is sent on his way to a nearby lab for blood work. This part is very quick, in and out. They said 7-10 days are needed to get the results and packet ready.
hope that helps for anyone curious...
