Here is a summary of my story. I filed my I-130 on October 29th. On December 28th, the online status said that they sent an RFE letter to my address in Egypt. I waited sooooo long for this letter to come, but it never did. So I called and asked twice to send the letter again but to my friend in Texas, and it finally got into her mailbox yesterday. I was in tears! But then I was shocked to see that they wanted the marriage certificate. I am so sure I sent it in my package. Did they really just miss it?? did any of you go thru the same thing? Did you guys send in the translation and the original language document or just the translation? It says it must be "civilly authorized", which is! the contract is full of stamps and authorized signature from the ministry of justice in Egypt. Can any Egyptian fillers help me out with advises? Please help me because I don't want to get another RFE

Yes, I talked to an ISO, but they still could not help me with my problem. As the link you sent me says, the ISO Cannot:

Review already issued Requests for Evidence (RFEs)

Directly issue duplicate notices, receipt notices, RFE notices

Transfer calls to local offices or service centers

Provide legal advice

They do not help at all I am worried!

I am so sad!!!! I have NOT received my RFE letter yet!!!!!!!

They should've sent it to me in Egypt on Dec 28th... It's almost a month now and nothing is in the mail!

I called first of January, and I asked to be sent to my friend in Texas, and she never got anythihng!!!!!

I am thinking about just sending them the birth certificate of my husband!! Where should I send it to? Does anyone know? my paper is at NBC in MO. Should I send it to them or who?

Please help me with any advice ... I am traveling to the US in March cause I deliver my baby in June. I want my husband to be with me before June so he can attend his daughter's birth Please help me guys

I need advice guys I got an RFE on Dec 28th. They said they mailed me the letter for RFE. I live in Egypt with my husband now, and the postal office in the country is protesting and not working So I called about 10 days ago the USCIS, and after an hour hold, I talked to an ISO, who told me he could not tell me what is in the letter. So I gave him another address of a friend in the states so they can send it to them. I have not got anything in the mail yet at my friend's address. I called now AGAIN, and a rude lady told kept interrupting me while talking. She said that I just have to wait!! She said that yesterday, the system changed my address!! I did not want to change my address I just wanted to send the freakin' letter to my friend! the lady was so rude to me and said that's all I can help you with. I asked if I can speak to an ISO, she said no, they are having problems. :ranting:

I am so sad I don't know what to do to know what am missing! I am very desperate at this point and starting to hate this process :(

yeah when I was about to organize my ideas and evidences, I checked my status online, and it said that I got an RFE on Dec 28th

I have no idea why they did that. I called ISO more than once and no one wanted to tell me what I was missing. I just have to wait for the letter to come all the way to Egypt! I then asked them to send a copy of the letter to an address in the US (my friend's address) so I can get it faster. I am still waiting for that letter so I can send it out From what I have been reading here, the NBC has been asking for BC of the beneficiary! I think that's what they are looking for

I am hoping that means a soon NOA2 after I submit that paper.

I am going to put my money on the birth certificate

When I got my RFE it have me 90 days to answer so at least you still have time....best of luck!

you are right I just want to know what's missing so I can get ready. If it's evidence of marriage, or birth certificate, or what is all I wanted the ISO to tell me. But he said he does not know. I am just waiting and hoping it's the birth certificate issue!!

I got an RFE I checked yesterday, Dec 28th and it said so. I called the customer service ppl and the ISO too, and they both could not tell me what I am missing. I am waiting for the letter to come in, but since I am in Egypt, it might take so long. Therefore I asked the ISO to send it to my friend in the USA's address and she will tell me I guess getting an RFE is a good and a bad thing! :( At least I know my folder got looked at

Yes! In the past hour or two we were approved. (Checking email and uscis.gov every few hours... )

The only reason to try is to satisfy yourself that you did so. The fact that you doubt it yourself should tell you something.

I am not doubting myself... I know for sure what my reasons are and how I will prove it using documents. I just said that because the other member told me its only military-related reason.

There's a process here, aye?

Call into USCIS, get a Tier 2 Human, an ISO.

Then tell them you need to expedite the casefile.

They will then go over exactly what you need to do to facilite the expedite request.

It's one thing to have a formletter - it's another thing (entirely) to get it to the right human @USCIS.

Well she is egyptian and is in Egypt, plus of course AP.

Actually I am the petitioner and I am a USC. I don't see how they could just reject it because of an AP later on.

Unless you are going through one of the followings I don't know if you will be able to expedite it

Expedite Criteria

All expedite requests are reviewed on a case-by-case basis, and are granted at the discretion of the Director. The burden is on the applicant or petitioner to demonstrate that one or more of the expedite criteria have been met. The criteria are as follows:

• Severe financial loss to company or individual
• Extreme emergent situation
• Humanitarian situation
• Nonprofit status of requesting organization in furtherance of the cultural and social interests of the United States
• Department of Defense or National Interest Situation (Note: Request must come from official United States Government entity and state that delay will be detrimental to our Government)
• USCIS error
• Compelling interest of USCIS

What is the nature of your emergency ? The only one regularly accepted is imminent US military deployment. Other reasons are listed but less frequently approved.

Its not a military reason, but its still an emergency case. I guess its worth trying right?

I am about to start writing an expedite letter to NBC. My priority date is October 29th. I know some of you might think that its still too early for that... However I have an emergency case and I have to send it! However, I was wondering if any of you sent a letter before... How should the format be? Do they actually take a look at it? Is your case number MSC as well? I'm thinking maybe my case was approved so fast because we are married for more than 3 years.

Don't lose hope! Hopefully you will get NOA2 soon. =)

I don't really think the fast approval was because of the length of marriage. I think because you and your spouse live abroad :)That is the main reason for quick approvals I think

I thought that maybe all Egyptian fillers and USC in Egypt who are with their spouse can get to plan a get together

It will be a nice thing since all of us at least share the same journey

I am a USC, but 100% Egyptian I mean I was born in the US, but lived most of my life in Egypt and the other in the US I am now in Egypt with my husband and waiting for NOA2 for my husband's visa

I hope we can get to make friends here :star:

When you sign in to your account on USCIS it shows you when it was last updated. My last update was 10-2-12 and it changed to 12-12-12 but I dont see any changes on my case status. so I was wondering if they are working on my case or what?
