Here's what I know-- According to the website it says translation isn't needed if its in the language of the country. We did not send translations. I did not receive a checklist for the translations when I mailed my package. Maybe they will ask for it later, but we chose not to bother with it since it wasn't a requirement.

Exactly! On the website it says that if documents are not in English or the language of the country of interview, they need to be translated. I will go ahead and send it w/o translation... Thanks guys

Just a quick question guys, we don't need translations for the IV package right? My papers are in Arabic and the embassy is in Egypt (Arabic)! We are done with collecting all the originals and are really not looking forward to translation. It is a long process in Egypt, where you have to get stamps all over the paper after it's translated! please confirm that we don't need it please

I have a question. Did any of you try expediting the NVC stage? Papers are supposed to be collected at the interview instead at NVC, which helps a lot. If anyone has information about that please help me out! I am having real issues and need to expedite as much as I can ...

6 1/2? Me too! When's your due date? Mine is May 30, I think we're really close! I wanted to go back to the states in April to have the baby there, but decided it would be better to stay here until my husband has his visa so that I could travel with him if possible. Plus, you never know if they'll get put into AP and how long that might take If he doesn't have visa in hand by August I'll have to go back anyway since my oldest will be starting first grade.

My due date is June 5th wow, we are very close haha! I am going back to the states to deliever my baby because I start dental school 2 month after the baby is born! If I have the baby in Egypt, it will take longer to travel back to the USA with the baby by the time dental school starts! So I will be leaving in 2 weeks and praying god makes my husband's journey really fast. I am a bit worried about AP of course, but we are trying to think positively and trying to speed up the process by expiditing the NVC stage somehow!

You have to wait on the AOS FEE BILL to hit yer email inbox (you do stuff with a telephone, daily, prior)

but

once it does hit -

You can ask for an expedite at NVC. NVC will put a query into the IV unit, and if the IV unit accepts the expedite request, the casefile (whatever NVC has at the moment) is shipped out to the IV unit.

Not turn in stuff to NVC? Must turn in to the IV Unit on interview day.

Thanks for the Info Darnell. I went ahead and did the advanced search on your posts and they are really helpful But I have couple of questions.

First of all, when you said I call NVC and ask for an expedite once the AOS FEE BILL is in, what do they ask for over the phone? I mean do they listen to what I say and write it down, or do they tell me to mail them my evidence (I am in Egypt and takes a while for mail to get there), or how do I "tell" them I want an expedite?

Secondly, so that means that DS-3032 will be sent thru email first, correct?

Thirdly, I am a little worried that it's harder to deal with the embassy than the NVC! I mean, I will take all my documents to the embassy as said, but then would the embassy just be rude about it because I made them do all the work? do they talk long after the interview date to check ALL the papers since they never seen it before the interview date? I just don't want it to go to them and then wait for ages until they work on it or they can make things up! ugh, I am just paranoid haha!

I am thinking of actually going thru NVC very quickly and then ask for an early interview date! is that possible? Thanks in advance

Hey guys I am new to this topic I got NOA2 on 2/15 I am waiting for NVC to get my papers I want to rush the NVC process since I am pregnant and I am due on June 5th!! I am really wishing my hubby will attend his daughter's birth I have everything signed and ready! btw, do any of you know how do you expedite your case at NVC or even get an early interview date at the embassy? I am gathering evidence for the request now... Any advice would help Thanks guys!

I can't believe I got APPROVED today! I just checked my mail with a strong feeling that I will find a status change, and I DID!

My priority date is October 29th. I got an RFE on December 28th for the Arabic marriage certificate. I did not recieve the letter until January 30th :crying: I guess the letter never made it to Egypt and I had to ask them TWICE to send it to my friend in Texas!! On Februrary 7th, I got a confirmation email saying that USCIS has my RFE response and they are working on it, and on FEbrurary 15th, I GOT APPROVED :dance: I am pregnant now in 6 and a 1/2 month. I will be leaving my husband to go back on March 1st I hope god stands by us and he attends his daughter's birth :') I am really happy. I have all NVC packages ready and signed so I can send it out right awayyyy!

sorry not so chatty recently. I got an RFE that was sent out on the 8th, I received on the 9th.

It's taken me some time to get over it. I was flummoxed..

Basically - they want to see other documentation to prove up that we have a bonifide relationship - so I'm prepping the big stack this weekend - gonna make dwheels stack pale in comparison.

oh no I feel what you are going thru! I am still waiting for NOA2 after the RFE... I got a confirmation email on Feb 7th saying they received the documents needed.. It has been almost a week and I am getting nervous It is only one paper missing ... why is it taking long to just approve it!

Hey guys, I am expecting an NOA2 very soon since I got an RFE and they are working on it now. I completed all the paper work needed for NVC and ready to mail it once I get approved and assigned a case number. However, I was wondering if any of you can tell me how to get ready for the interview? I am the USC but 100% Egyptian. I am pregnant now in 23 weeks and I will be leaving to the US on March 1st and want my husband to attend my delivery in June Please help me with any advice since I really want to rush this NVC process.

Some of you know that I got an RFE for the marriage certificate. I finally sent it and I got an email from USCIS that they are working on it yet. I am hoping I get an approval pretty soon So now, I am getting ready for the NVC part but I need little help from you guys. I am the petitioner,I have my tax returns from 2009, 2010, and 2011. I will not submit 2012 because I have not filled it yet, plus it will take a lot of time to process it and stuff. I lived with my husband in Egypt since May 2012. However, I read that I still need to prove re-establishment of domicile. I have a ticket booked for a return to the US on March 1st. is that good? What do I need to submit in the NVC packet for myself. My income is below the poverty line and therefore I need a joint sponsor. I found one, but I don't know what to ask them to submit! do they send it to me and then I send it? Can they submit tax returns before 2012 since they haven't filled it? Please help me out. I am pregnant and I want to rush the NVC steps so my husband can attend his daughter's birth

You have to wait for the letter to come in first and then follow instructions

I submitted my I-130 on October 28th, but I got an RFE saying that I am missing the marriage certificate, EVEN THOUGH I submitted it ... How did you guys submit yours? To be more specific, Did you submit the Arabic and translated copy, or just the translation. Also, they said that they want it to be civilly authorized! I got all the stamps and signatures on there and It was translated at the ministry of justice. I just need help with that issue please.
