That's good. They are really quick at the consulate in Frankfurt . I got my email to request an appointment last monday and I did it right away and since tuesday was veteran's day, they were closed.But I got the request approved first thing wednesday morning and the first available appointment was exactly in a week . So I would say for you the next after you put in the request . Make sure to read the ''how to apply'', the visa interview'' and ''step'' at www.germany.usembassy.gov.

I want to say a big Congratulations to everybody who has received their Visas or have been approved recently.v it is wonderful to see so many people coming to the end of the journey.
For those who are experiencing difficulties either getting to the interview or being approved it is just another obstacle in the journey. It will happen and it won't be long and you will be back with your loved ones.

I emailed Sydney a Consulate last night asking for an earlier interview date. Heard back from them with an automated response that they will answer in 1-2 business days. Might hear before the weekend. If it is a no then that is fine but at least we know what we are working with. Will keep you posted.

Just got back from my interview and I have to say to was easy, everybody was so nice to me and I got approved yay finally I get to be with my hubby . Thank god! I will post my review later today

Got my visa in hand! Just 2 days after my interview Was about time after 13 months...
So glad you mentioned that there is an edge cut off on your envelope as well I was so worried if there was something wrong with mine when I got it today.

I did exactly what saylin's nvc process wiki says. And had no issues so far. And since they got a new way to process it, you should do it as it says.
1. Submit the DS-261 (print or save the confirmation page)
2. Pay the AoS fee/bill once it's invoiced (print or save the confirmation page)
3. Pay the IV fee/bill once it's invoiced (print or save the confirmation page)
4. After you paid the IV bill, the DS-260 will be unlocked and you can fill it out and submit it ( print or save the confirmation page)
5. And after you submitted the DS-260 you can mail out both packages together, just use that cover sheet and mark everything you enclose
I just got one folder the coversheet first with the barcode then the AoS and IV package and put a paperclip on each package and the in the folder and then in the envelope. oh and I wrote on each document I sent, my case number.
