So my husband and I both got the "Packet 4" notice via e-mail just now that our Packet 3 response was received and now we're clear to schedule an appointment. I went onto ustraveldocs and apparently I can only request clearance to schedule now?? It's saying I'll get an e-mail once our request to schedule has been reviewed. How long did it take you guys to get that email?

That's good. They are really quick at the consulate in Frankfurt  . I got my email to request an appointment last monday and I did it right away and since tuesday was veteran's day, they were closed. But I got the request approved first thing wednesday morning and the first available appointment was exactly in a week :D. So I would say for you the next after you put in the request ^_^. Make sure to read the ''how to apply'', the visa interview'' and ''step'' at www.germany.usembassy.gov.

Good luck to you guys :goofy:

Aww, my heart aches for you! I would have pulled every last hair out of my head if I had to wait for the interview schedule confirmation on a holiday! Glad you guys got a slot so soon, though! I hope we're as fortunate. I'm just glad that all the document shipping stress is over...for me the visa is as good as approved now, whew.

Thanks for the reassurance!

AWESOME! Obviously some genius by the name of Mark has "recalled" his e-mail he sent us this morning. Now I'm worried because I already submitted the request to schedule our interview. Will they just simply reject it and allow us to re-submit or will this pose any problem in the future?

Update: I e-mailed the guy back immediately and apparently he had just accidentally sent a duplicate Packet 4 e-mail, so he wanted to recall the duplicate, not our approval notice. Ugh! lol

Anytime :) yeah kinda but it was just a day after 8 months waiting it was just another day I guess I went to the gym to loosen some anger

As of the email I would just ignore it since you're already requested your scheduling you should be good.

I d say the same for you too you're as good as approved.

I was really easy with the interview, even though I was so nervous and sick to my stomach  I was a breeze. Got approved yesterday and I still can't believe it.

They're not busy there at all or they re just fast because of the coming up holidays.

All will be good :star: don't worry  they re super nice
