  1. @Jessieo5 and Newbie 608;

I think I will find a free clinic.

I just saw a released power point from USCIS for Vaccinations Seminar for Medical Exam and these people want to give me shots that are not required just because they want me to pay.

To make things worse they told me that I needed a shot for Hepatitis A and B, I am not 12 months old nor am I 18 years old! They just totally want to rip me off. Will politely call and ask if they would accept the proof if I took the shots elsewhere and bring proof back.

I paid the $225 already, I don't even know if I should trust this doctor with my paper work.... I mean he literally

told me that I needed Hep A & B shots and some nurse told me the same thing before the doctor walked in.

Thanks for chiming in 'cause I was about to go back on Mon and pay for those shots.

You need the Hep A+B shots for real (at least it depends on when last you had them done) cause i think you have to redo every 7-10yrs. I had those two, MMR, Tetanus. The only shot that was administered was the TB then he took blood work cause they have to test for Syphillis and HIV. What state are you in if you don't mind me asking?

  2. I would think that by default they don't let make your case go on top of the case pile just because you completed the biometrics.

But, if the agent cleared his pile, and the next guy in line completed bio, he will resume with case and not let it sit until your supposed-date comes.

If we review dates, it takes about 20-30 days after biometrics are complete to get interview notice. So if you complete before, it can advance 7-10 days the notice.

If you check the "july example" in the spread sheet, the girl walked-in. She got the interview unusually fast, but nonetheless before scheduled biometrics date:

    - bio notice (day 18) with appointment (day 38)

    - walked in on day 22.

    - interview appointment (day 36)

Also, 7-10 days earlier don't change much the whole case, but if you are in a hurry to get your EAD, and the only thing they need is the biometrics. It might advance it a little bit.

    --> August Filers spreadsheet

I was just looking at the spreadsheet you did. That's awesome Thanks. I hate math (can't do it) so i'd never be the one messing with numbers like that lo

  3. I had a medical appt y'day (adjusting from B2), and was told that it costs $225.00

After I paid the initial amount I was told that if I needed

more shots then I have to pay more for shots (never told me that

and I called several times). After meeting with the doctor I was told that

I need 4 more shots and 3 of them cost $95 each and the other one $150.

Should I proceed with this or are they ripping me off? I already paid $225.00

for TB test and blood work, and when I go back I have to pay $435 extra :(

How much did you guys pay for your medical?

Thanks for your insight on this!

What? This is impossible. In my opinion theyre trying to take advantage of you. I did my Medical a few months ago and only paid $150 and that included everything. The best advice i can give you is to try to find a free clinic and have them give you all the shot the doctor claims that's required then bring it to him. This is ridiculous.

  4. Hi thanks for ur reply.

I never have had biometric done in the past. so how about my AOS result, do you think that an error from USCiS?

I used receipt number that I got from my email, and always copy paste them everytime I check my case online so I guess I used mine.

Lol that's very weird indeed. Congrats though. I would keep checking it though and wait to see what comes in the mail before contacting USCIS

  5. Hi,

thanks for responding pushbrk and every one else who responded. To answer the two questions posted by Penguin_ie and canadian_wife, Yes my husband is currently in the U.S. and he has never left. I just wasn't sure if they would decide to charge us money for him having had overstayed his visa. Pushbrk it's good to know that there won't be a fine because we're not in a really great financial position right now. I am aware of the 10 year ban if he had left the country and i was advised legally that he shouldn't leave the country to adjust his status as that is a trap because once he leaves he wouldn't be eligible to return for x amount of years. We have filed the necessary paperwork and so far so good. I will keep you guys updated on our progress.

Yes he's currently in the u.s. he never left.

    Yes he is

There is no fine. Just make sure he doesnt leave the US until he GC is approved

  6. Yep, I think its between 2-4 weeks you should get the interview notice, scheduled 4 weeks after.

Can someone answer: you do biometrics for 2 forms? I-485 and I-765? I have read that people gets 2 notices.

If you do the walk in with first notice, you have to go agin for second notice? If it digital fingerpreint, why don't they just take it from first one?

I only got one notice but it was for both forms. It did state biometrics for I-485 and I-765. When i went they took one set of ten prints

Just received bio-metrics appointment for 09/19/12. Sweet!

    Awesome

    great! congrats!

    i am next in line...

Yup your turn next. Hopefully it's in your mailbox today. BTW fix your timeline. I think you meant to 2012:09:01 lol

  7. when i applied for AOS i only sent copy of my passport stamp to show my legal entry coz i lost my I-94 but they didn't send RFE for it so i guess that's fine..but my question is do i have to get a new one or can i just show them at the interview my passport showing my visa and stamp for my legal entry???

Hi i have the same issue. I lost my i 94 but like you i sent the passport page with visa and entry stamp along with the itinerary. Did you ever get the new i 94?

  8. To my disappointment, I didn't know racism exists, until I came here.

I feel the same way as you on that topic. I mean i knew about racism and the whole segregation bs from history and movies but as for experiencing what it really is first hand. It wasn't until i came here too. Where i came from nobody pays attention to the colour of your skin or the texture of your hair. It's sad especially for a country that's such a melting pot of all different races
