Worried...
We had an interview on the 18 of this month and we got approved..and a few days later it was changed to card production and a few days ago back to decision ?
What is that ?
I only got the welcome letter
-
OMG!! thats awesome! you better come back and give us ALLLL the details! thank God they didn't put you through the ringer. I am very happy for you!
well, thank god..we were so nervous and worried because they invited us to a 2nd interview..
lawyer was late 10 minutes !!
and the interpreter was late another 10 !!
interview was 08:00 we went in 08:25 :S
the IO was waiting by the door for us, we came in and ask me to wait outside, my wife/lawyer/interpreter got in, for about 15 minutes..i was so worried it killed me why they would call us again..
and then the IO called me in..asked the same questions like the 1st interview, and one question my wife forgot...the IO asked her when was the last time you went out to a restaurant and she said last feb, and when she asked me after i went into the office that we went a few months ago, but nothing specific because it's just when it works out every once in a while, and then the IO started to think something is wrong and that we're lying, she said but your wife said feb and you say a few months ago ? how come ?
then i said to my wife , Baby you dont remember we went to Golden Coral last time and i barely made it to the house without stopping in that gas station..the IO laughed, so did my wife and everyone else, and thank god and IO we got approved..

I appreciate your response And opinion on the matter, we didn't send the case with him but with one from ft.lauderdale which apparently was right on the matter , only one RFE was needed thank god, and this lawyer is going with us only for this 2nd interview..
I got an email from him today as a reply to one before and he said that were good, we just hope everything will work out next thursday..
In total we spent
1000 case filing
800 office fee
Then moved to tampa lawyer for 2nd interview
And paid 915 for him and 150 for an interpreter
2865 total
Its tough but we had to do it..

I think, in this case, you're being a bit harsh. I'm sure that many lawyers don't see too many cases involving cu6. I don't have a problem with a lawyer saying " I don't know, but I'll find out." That's much better than giving the wrong answer with confidence.
Thats what the lawyer said, that he will check into it, this is a good answer after all the lawyers who say no on the spot..
I got a good feeling from the guy..
-
haha ! well these are some good news !
thank you for that ..ill keep you posted, i've saw a few lawyers ..none of them was on top of things
it seems like they are all like this..
-
well, went to see a lawyer today, got him + an Interpreter for $1065, hopefully everything will go fine..
he said i should have had the I-130 And he's not sure about her not being USC and only on Residency of CU6 and that being able to give me the AOS needed...
when i said that if so is the case then i should have been denied long before and not being taken to a 2nd interview, that took him off of the certainty he had and he said he will check it and let me know tuesday, appointment is Thursday..i will let you know what happened ..(in case someone will look into 2nd interview in the future, i personally found a lot but never the results of them, guess people were happy with them
)
got all papers and documents copied and ready for him, now just to wait and see what Thursday will bring
-
thank you for your reply as well
I have one more question...when did you first file for AOS and lastly an observation, if you received the letter on October 6th and your interview is on the October 18th, then they are giving you less than a month to prepare on this one. That's good to know.
Wish you best of luck please keep us posted!
yes pretty quick..go figure .. i'm tired of being in the air with this. you can't do nothing major without that GC here
we first filed on jul 25 of 2011..

I’m sorry you are having a mini meltdown. My husband and I found out nearly 2 months after our 1st interview (through a Congressional inquiry) that we were awaiting scheduling of a 2nd interview and my heart just dropped. We had tons of proof and our interview was smooth but our red flags are that this is my 3rd marriage and my 2 previous husbands had also petitioned for me plus we got married 4 months after my 2nd divorce so I get it. We however were not separated the first time but we imagine we will be this time. The only bad thing is that it’s been 4+ months since our first interview on May 30th, and we have not gotten our 2nd interview yet and we are hoping to get it soon because we already bought tickets to Peru for November 21st.
You said you already have your second EAD and I just have a few questions if you don’t mind
When did you file (we filed on March 12th, my EAD doesn’t expire until Jun since it got approved late)
Where is your local office (ours is Oakland Park FL)
When is your new interview
Anyway, my best advice is to definitely have a lawyer accompany you and if your wife gets the even a little nervous speaking English, I would take an interpreter too.
thank you for the reply
i filed for the EAD on Sep 1st, it was to expire on Oct 2nd, a little bit late but they approved
our local office is in Tampa,FL.
i got the letter a few days ago, the 2nd interview is on Oct 18
lemme know if you need some more answers..
-
she got her cu6 about 11 years ago and i entered on B2
thank you all for the replies ! i appreciate your response..
-
I speak Spanish.
It seems we dont share a common language?
I only said that she stresses on English when nervous..
we met here in the area, I entered on b2,I checked on one time that you told me I should have sent the i130 and they told me because she had the cu6 I didn't need to..
-
I'm from Israel she's from Cuba
We've been married for a year and a half now, only red flag I could think of is that she's 10 years older then me..
What are the outcomes of a stoke interview?
If denied can I do something or just leave the states?
-
She is from Cuba and on Cu6 type of residence, she speak Spanish and English but not perfect..
My 1st interview was stokes I guess, we were going in together and at the door she asked to see each one separately.. 10 minutes each one and out..
-
i don't get it...we were fine the 1st interview, there were no issues :\
and why would they approve my Ead if they need to see me for stokes ?
the 1st interview was stokes i believe, they separated us from the beginning ...and crossed answers..
how will bringing an attorney will help me ?
-
The letters have a certain amount of standard information. The interpreter paragraph is a part of the standard letter.
The person(s) applying for permanent residence should attend the appointment.
thank you for the fast reply...
IT IS I....who's applying for the residence..so therefore only i should attend and not my wife as well ?
what do you think this interview is about? she was so cool the 1st interview..
-
me and my wife had an interview on aug 14, it went pretty well..each one was in for 10 minutes and out..
went home and got a letter claiming our case is under file review and we will receive an answer within 180 days.
ok..............
we waited and today i got a letter that says Form g-56
please come to the office below at the time and place indicated in connection with an official matter.
ask for : the same officer i had the 1st time
reason for appt : Review and Completion of your application for permanent residence.
Bring with you : id,photos, passport,Interpreters and evidence of your bona fide martial relationship.
Now...
1) interpreters ? do i really need to bring one ? really ?
we both speak english , my wife's a little off on the english but nothing terrible, when she's stressed she has hard time with other languages ..
2) and what is this form for ?
3) do we have to come together ? or just by myself ? the letter states both our name only at the top where the address is ..
from what i read other people had a text saying "Both need to come"
btw..i just got my EAD renewed (came in the same day) for another year...
help me, im scared
-
nobody is home right now to check but i called the lawyer to ask but left a voice mail since she busy or something...
from what i remember the lawyer sent an i485 & i765 the same time , these are the only documents that we've filed to them.
i don't remember an i-130..ill check at the house but im pretty sure..
if i didnt filed that form , is it normal in that situation that they still anyway took me to an interview and gave me an EAD ?
-
for dido and harpa :
i came on a b2 visa
-
I thought from your other thread you were not on a K-1. Did you file I-130 at the same time as I-485? The CSC transfer does not happen with concurrent cases.
Am I wrong on that and you were a K-1 case?
As to 2, that stuff will depend on your state laws.
Regarding the interview, I wouldn't worry too much, they need to do some extra checks and most people end up fine. I know it's annoying to wait, so I am questioning why you waited so freaking long for the interview in the first place.
didn't went through i-130, we sent i485 for marriage based after our wedding, about a month later..the i485 & i765..
there aren't any red flags or anything, only thing i can think why it's taking a little bit long is my military service in IDF + Weapon trainings i had..
guess ill just need to wait..
where can i check my state law regarding that issue within Florida ?
filing taxes with green card..

one of the things we need to do in order to keep the green card is to file taxes..
is the form 1040EZ is ok to fill for them ? or do i need to fill the 1040 ?
thank you !
