It's amazing how there is no pattern for how they work, some get with stamp after AOS some don't, some taken of their i94 some don't, some wait 3 months and done some a year...

One year , That's unreal! I'm sure that this is the longest one we will see. I hope everything will go well, Wish you the very best. Keep us updated
I know right Haha my lawyer said they must've forgot it somewhere lol a year is way not reasonable..
Anyway yeah I'm waiting for it, the interview went well so now it's just waiting.... Again.. And hopefully not for long Iike last time...

Applied Aug 2011
Transferred to csc November, transferred again after request to speed it up..
And waited until we had an interview on Aug 14 of this year..
Now waiting for aos interview result

They often say they need to further review your case before a decision. The approval usually doesn't take too long after the interview. Perhaps you will get the online notice this week even. Whether or not they took the I-94 and EAD is not really an indicator of anything. They did not take my husband's I-94 or EAD and he was approved on the spot. Good luck!
thanks for the comment, made me feel a little better

Good luck
well me and my wife are married for a year and 2 months..
we love each other dearly,
we filed the i485 request at july 25.
got my biometrics at end of august.
got an RFE a week or two later , send it a day later back to them.
and 3-4 months later was transferd to CSC..(were from florida)..
i called a year later..july 2012 to say what happend ? i need to speed it up and they approved to expedite it since i told they lady the college needs my GC so i can go to school..
a week later got my approval mail about making it faster.
a week later was transferd to tampa ..
and a month later an AOS interview..
they separated us from the beginning, everything went fine, 10-15 minutes with easy questions and we were out...
red flags ?
mmm...no joint bank accounts, shes got my credit cards anyway on her...
and me serving in the israeli defence force and had weapon training ?
other then that we got the letter and thats it...
two days out of there and no update on uscis page :S
were really impatient

Are you saying that a lawyer advised you to lie to the US government? If so, could there be any kind of malpractice?
Unauthorized employment is forgiven, but lying is not. Sorry, but liars and cheaters who try to get around the system we all had too suffer through get very little sympathy 'round here. Personally, I hope you get denied and deported.
no need to wish bad things for someone, Karma will come right back and bite you in the #### for this..
try to fix what you can in your application and hope for the best, make sure you got everything covered as far as you can..good luck !

i really hope so..this is what it said in the letter btw....
"your case is being held for file review and you will receive a decision within 180 days. you do not need to submit any additional information at this time."

Where is your local office?
and did IO took your EAD and I-94??
It's in Tampa, and they didnt took neither of them. the I94 is also expired btw..
p.s - when my wife and IO walked out to the lobby the lady said to my wife that we will get the documents in the mail ..and my wife said which one ? the green card ? and the IO said yes and smiled. but you never know..im still stressed , i need to see it in my hand..

hey hello whats up ?
nice to be here...had a quick question...
my wife and i went to the AOS I485 family based interview, they called me first for 10-15 minutes asked general questions that of course we knew, i went out and then she got in , 10-15 minutes and shes out with a letter that said : (not exactly word by word) that the case is held for further case review something like for 180 days.
so..everything went well, we had everything right and good..the feeling also was good when we got in and out...so what could it be ?
i need to wait 180 days ?
the interview was yesterday btw..
thanks for the responses !
Renewing my EAD ...(checklist)
in Adjustment of Status (Green Card) from K1 and K3 Family Based Visas

O....K
so, my EAD expires in 42 days, the lady on the phone said
its not too late and that's it's ok..(i hope she's right..)
but, i had my AOS interview on Aug 14th and only got a letter saying my case is being file reviewed and that i will receive a decision within 180 days, so no approval yet.
i thought i shouldn't take the risk of it not coming before the EAD Expiration so i decided to file for the EAD Extension.
i made a small checklist i wanted to know if that's enough.
- 2x Passport photos
- I765 form
- copy of my Florida driver license
- front & back copy of the EAD
- a copy of the letter when i got the card
- i485 receipt for 1070$ - Which means i don't need to pay any further right ?
all this to send to Dallas, TX - USCIS Location since i'm from Florida.
all good ?
thank you .(!)
