I see you haven't gotten yours either..
Well, if it holds true to 24-48 hours after you get the rror then we should be able to pay by ~5p EST today.
That would be my guess
Then on to waiting for the IV
-
They are two different tracks and documentation for both is required. Once each is mark paid, you can send the respective packets in.

I had to email the DS-3032 twice. Just send the email again. They will discard the additional one if they receive it twice. It must come from beneficiaries email.
Did that already to no effect - I overnighted the actual form yesterday. I wish I would have just done that last week.
-
I'm confused now - called NVC since I was expecting my IV invoice. They say they haven't gotten my choice of agent. I posted an email previously for which the consensus seemed to have been that it was an acceptance email for my DS-2032.
Any insight on how I could get that end of last week but NVC says they haven't received it when I call?
I think I will snail mail the official form just to cover the bases.
-
No since you still need to send your IV packet - right?
-
Yes, she designated herself (rather than a third party) and we did use the template (with a few minor alterations).
Just re-sent the it again. I really hope it doesn't take two more weeks, as that could push our interview back another month.
Thank you - hope we at least get AOS stuff done in the next day or so.
Good Luck!

Hi all,
We sent our DS 3032 email to the NVC right when we got our case number on August 28. In the email my wife told them she did not want to designate anyone and to continue to contact her at our address here in Thailand (since I'm not in the US, we don't have a lawyer and the mail is quite reliable here)
Now two weeks later we get the following response:
"Dear Sir/Madam:
The National Visa Center (NVC) received your inquiry regarding the immigrant visa petition: (case number) filed by XXXXXXXXX on behalf of XXXXXXXXX.
We are unable to add third party contact information to the case record at this time. Please continue to notify the NVC of any change in the petitioner's or principal applicant's address."
So it looks like we'll have to resend it today. Does this mean we have to wait ANOTHER TWO WEEKS just for the stupid acceptance email and subsequent IV invoice?
Also, I STILL have not been invoiced for AOS stuff (2 weeks). Frustrating.
AOS should come any day - I think it was around 10 or 11 business days for me. Resend for the DS-3032 although did you use the template? I'm not sure if just writing that you don't designate anyone is the right way to go - I was thinking she just designates herself (no explanation needed).
-
Whoops ignore this
-
Stupid question here - do you get an error when IV is invoiced for a day or two before (like AOS) or does it just change right away when invoiced?
-
ughhh got bad news I forgot tht the savings account to pay the IV fee had restrictions so payment didnt go through... but when I saw it... it said paid now it says rejected so I entered my checking account so its gnna take another 2-3 days but I already sent my IV in on thursday..... is this gonna delay my case a lot
((((((( the rep today said he dont know if it came in yet cause it doesnt show in his system... im kind of worried
Are you able to track it to see when it arrives? Hope it doesn't cause any delays!
I just sent my AOS package - I was going to wait until IV is invoiced and send them together but I bet it gets invoiced now since I sent the AOS
-
I can sense you are going to have a long and fulfilling marriage! Best of Luck.

Ok so a possible co sponsor is a friend of my wife's who is much older than her and retired. She does get retirement income, so would that count?
Also, any tips on how to assemble everything in the I-130?(NOT the AOS)
What should be stapled, what should NEVER be stapled, I know it's just a little iffy so any recommendations would be welcome
Thanks!
As stated , no staples - A lot of people do a cover sheet which is a good idea
-
Yeh the two were confusing me. Sorry. Jusy have so much goin on. So the IV bill is ds230 and thats billed after the ds3032 is accepted ? Thanks... my brain is all over the place lol.
Jamaican - have you printed out Saylins process flow chart from the first post? That helps immensely to visualise the two tracks rather than looking at it as one process. Hang in there!!
-
So i jus checked mine to since alit of us are clise together and it says paid as well!!! OMG!!!! Gonna try to send out tomorrow if not monday! Yayayayyy!!!!
AOS or IV? My AOS went to paid yesterday but no IV bill yet.
-
So we sent the DS-3032 via email and never got response (besides the autoresponse)....However, I was able to pay the AOS fee. Do we need to send DS-3032 again? Or since things are already moving, does it no longer matter?
Give it a bit of time - It has been taking 5-7 business days for them to accept it. You will get an email either way.
-
A few hours on the phone with your college vs. 4 extra months for the VISA

b]What is needed in the AOS package?[/b]
Generally, the following is needed:
With no joint sponsors:
- Bar-coded cover sheet from payment portal
- Cover letter (optional)
- Completed, signed, and dated I-864 form by petitioner
- Tax information* of petitioner (either just the last year OR the last 3 years)
- Employment letter of petitioner (optional, but good proof of CURRENT income)
- Pay stub(s) of petitioner (optional, but good proof of CURRENT income)
With joint sponsors:
- All of the above of the petitioner
- Completed, signed, and dated I-864 of joint sponsor
- Tax information* of joint sponsor (either just the last year OR the last 3 years)
- Proof of US citizenship/residency of joint sponsor (ex: copy of US passport, US birth certificate, US naturalization certificate, or front & back of green card)
- Employment letter of joint sponsor (optional, but good proof of CURRENT income)
- Pay stub(s) of joint sponsor (optional, but good proof of CURRENT income)
If the joint sponsor is a household/family member, also include proof of that relationship (example: if a parent is a joint sponsor, include the petitioner's birth certificate with parents' name on it to show link).
*You have two choices here of what to send in:
- Tax return transcripts ordered from IRS (preferred by NVC and of most consulates/embassies) RECOMMENDED
OR
- Tax returns (1040) and W2s and any other schedules (if applicable)
What if I (the petitioner) live with my spouse in their foreign country? Do I need to include anything in either package?
You'll need to provide proof of US domicile with the AOS package, as well as bring it with you to the interview. Please read the I-864 instructions (pages 5 and 6) for information about it. This is NOT needed if the petitioner is living in the US. Here is a sample cover letter to include in the package (it lists MANY possible documents, some may not be applicable of course, to prove that you have, or will re-establish, domicile in the US):

I think the OP is saying they are married over two years so why the conditions?
-
I think it was aug 24. It was a friday i know that. So close to 10 business days i guess?
Exactly the same day as me
-
I read earlier you should wait to be sure it goes through. Some people had their payment fail.
Mine is marked as PAID this morning (both AOS and IV).
I am going to send them off together on Monday morning. Hate it when the next business day is a Monday
How long after you made the payment was it marked as PAID - i cant tell from your timeline
Thanks
-
Just read the instructions for AOS again and noticed it says the I-864 must be in all CAPITAL letters! So much for being 100% complete. Going to fill the form out again with the CAPS LOCK again before sending
-
UPDATE!!!!!!! I GOT EMAIL TO MAKE PAYMENT!!!! and the email for DS3032 same day they rejected it lmao stupppppiiiiid!!!!! soo of course hubby is resending it again today yay! i can make a payment now whoohoo!!!! lets get this show on the road already!!!!! yay for all of us!! ok a lil bit to excited! sorry! haha
Just got mine - and now paid!!
It says In Process but I was able to print out the barcoded cover sheet - Can I send my AOS tommorow or do I need to wait for anything else? I wasn't sure if it had to go from IN PROCESS to PAID first?
-
The whole package is then sent to the embassy before the interview although I have made multiple copies of every package which will also be brought to the interview just in case. Better to be over prepared.
