  1. "Been there, done that" mean I've already tried.

We've been in a few States now and things are rough. It was actually so hard, we returned to the Philippines for 10 months to live there. At least there are plenty of jobs, and apartments only want police clearance...

But I want my family here. My son was born here. And even if we are homeless, no one is goi...

  2. Are you mocking me?

Since I'm the only one here telling people that the interview rumor is not true?

  3. I already did contact the VA homeless program. Several times.

First off, I'm not going to a shelter, while my wife and kid are homeless. Who would even suggest that?

Secondly, I'm not leaving them to go travel far away, just so I have a place to stay. I need to protect them.

  4. I need to "get a life"?

You are the one trolling and harassing people on immigration websites.

And all of your content that is in violation of this site's T&C will be reported and you will be suspended.

    Thanks.

  5. Indeed. We're surviving, for the time being. At least our kid was born here, and we don't have pollution, terrorists, scammers, traffic, or wild dogs in America.

And the food, when it's available, tastes so much better ;)

    Keeping positive, really.

  6. It's quite hard to get on your feet in America. Especially if you are a foreigner. And disabled.

We've only been here a couple months. Hopefully something will work out.

  7. Taking biometrics does not constitute an interview in American English.

    a. A conversation, such as one conducted by a reporter, in which facts or statements are elicited from another.

  8. Temp agencies? What would a typing test or three do?

I'm certified at 65wpm. Which is satisfactory I guess. Not much work though for a guy as an office temp. Usually only pretty girls. Been there. Done that :(

I have not given up. I just feel like I've exhausted all the resources out there. Well, we still have more towns to go to and states to try. I don't wan...

  9. Thank you for your reply. However, I am disabled, and over-qualified.

So far no place wants to hire me. Those that do, it's only $3 an hour. With the expense of getting to work, work clothes, lunch, etc. it turns out to be a waste of time...

  10. Well, there is no visa interview. At least not in Manila.

I've been banned now for affirming such. I just got off my 8th ban I think.

The people that run this site act like angry little 10 year olds without their Ritalin.

All this talk about the "big interview" and there isn't even one.

That's why I thought I thought you were moc...

  11. What is romantic about being homeless and hitch-hiking with a baby?

Also, I am not going to get shelter and leave my wife and kid homeless. How could you suggest that?

My wife is from the Philippines. Why would she work?

  12. You must be in denial then.

When was the last year you were living in the Philippines? What province are you from?

  13. You obviously have never been to the Philippines. Since I know more abuot the country than most Filipinos, I am well qualified to say the things that I do.

Since when have I become an able-bodied man?

  14. *sigh* Why do you come here, but not speak our language?

  15. Ah, no Wells Fargo in this part the US

  16. Approved for what?

  17. Thank you for your contributions ;)

  18. Thank you. However, already contacted Catholic Charities and Veteran's Affairs. Neither organization helps with shelter, food, clothes, utilities, diapers, or anything. Also, my wife is a foreigner. And not a veteran. Thanks though.

  19. Thank you. Sadly, we have contacted Catholic Charities several times. Nothing. Thanks again.

  20. Thanks for the advice, but already been there, and done that. I don't qualify.

  21. Well, as a citizen, I don't need a visa. Thanks anyhow. But I'm not sure moving to America was a good idea... :(

  22. While my wife is legal here, she is treated like an illegal. Most places do not hire foreigners. Nor rent to them. Green card holders actually have less rights than illegal aliens. Sad.

  23. Who knows who will be living here. I would also have no way of contacting them, since I will not know who they are. I also would not trust someone I do not know.

  24. Why am I require to update my status?
