It's quite hard to get on your feet in America. Especially if you are a foreigner. And disabled.

We've only been here a couple months. Hopefully something will work out.

While my wife is legal here, she is treated like an illegal. Most places do not hire foreigners. Nor rent to them. Green card holders actually have less rights than illegal aliens. Sad.

I already did contact the VA homeless program. Several times.

First off, I'm not going to a shelter, while my wife and kid are homeless. Who would even suggest that?

Secondly, I'm not leaving them to go travel far away, just so I have a place to stay. I need to protect them.

You obviously have never been to the Philippines. Since I know more abuot the country than most Filipinos, I am well qualified to say the things that I do.

Thank you. However, already contacted Catholic Charities and Veteran's Affairs. Neither organization helps with shelter, food, clothes, utilities, diapers, or anything. Also, my wife is a foreigner. And not a veteran. Thanks though.

Who knows who will be living here. I would also have no way of contacting them, since I will not know who they are. I also would not trust someone I do not know.

So far no place wants to hire me. Those that do, it's only $3 an hour. With the expense of getting to work, work clothes, lunch, etc. it turns out to be a waste of time...
