Actually they give you your results verbally as well as sealing them in the envelope.

Oh gosh that means he must have opened the results he received from the medicals which are suppose to be sealed until the interview. I am so sorry to hear that your journey has ended on this note, you have great courage and strength and time will heal the wounded heart. Stay encouraged and open and you will find LOVE again!!!!!! I used the US Post Office for one shipment too. He did get the package, but the US Postal Service online said it was never delivered to him. He had to pay alot to get it.

I wanted to send a bathroom set (towels, shower curtain, rugs) and bedroom set (bed in a bag, pillows, etc) to my mother-in-law in Nigeria- but when looked at some quotes ...the prices were extremely high.....UPS was like close to $500...can you believe that?? I mean, if it took a month to get there...I would be ok w/ that....if the price was reasonable. Does anyone have suggestion's or idea's or recommendation's???? I was thinking everything would be under 20lbs. Any advice is greatly appreciated

you should try sending the package thru a shipping company, like the ones that ship cars and/or cargo to Nigeria. they have a way of getting small packages there, and i think it's about 10lbs for about $50. You will have to call someone in Nigeria to go and pick it up from the shippers agent though. Goodluck.

yes, does anyone have a shipping company they could refer me/us to? mylove and i are thinking about sending some goods from Accra to VA so i searched online and received an estimate: two "computer size" boxes from Ghana to U.S.= $800.00!!! i'm hoping there's a better, less expensive option out there somewhere...

Hmmm... I don't think this is true because our interview is also in july,11th of july to be precised and we haven't heard anything from the consulate about it being changed or anything like that.. I will advice to tell your friend to go to US consulate and make the inquiry in person for better understanding.

My first official meeting of my Naija family I went to this really cheap jewelry store called Pierced Pagoda and got my Mom In law a necklace and bracelet set for like 50 bucks and I got my sis in law a anklet for 20 bucks my male in laws I got like flash drives for their comps and liquor is always a sure crowd pleaser! The jewelry there is really nice and looks more expensive than it it. If there is no Pierce pagoda in your area just go to the local mall and look in the little booths in the center of them they always have really nice stuff. Good luck! Last year we celebrated by being online together all day from the night before til I slept. Then again when I lwoke until off to the office and once again when I got home. Needless to say I didnt get much done that day!. The highlight of my day was when I received Orchids from the delivery guy.. my sweetie had sent me flowers! I was so outdone!. This year we are got out gifts early as we are celebrating the gift of a new life. We just learned we are expecting a new baby due in October!

Michael thought he wanted 3 until he got his first dose of pregnancy hormones. Now he is praying for twins ..a boy and a girl so we will be done! Thanks everyone for your well wishes.

There is theoretically nothing left to do, but I think that you can take your marriage liscence to your county clerk and get a US liscence issued too, although I know that legally you cannot marry again here as you are already legally married. I think anna nicole is being questioned because she was not there in the country for the alotted amount of time before getting married and she was illegally seeking domicile there as a resident and bogusly gained citizenship by paying a judge or something so she couldnt be extridited back to the US for paternity testing

If you try a mexican food market like a fruiteria or carniceria I am sure you will find ethnic things there like peppers or chiles as the hispanic culture calls it. Michael and I shop there and we get plantains, peppers, tomatos, onions and all kinds of meats and fish for his stews. O may have to settle for rice for a while with his stew , but at least he will have ,some taste of home. A carribean market or actually any market that caters to foreign foods will have a lot of the things he might use. I even bought5 cows foot, heart and kidney to add to his stew in those markets. First let me say, Congratulations on your impending interview. My husband was approved Feb 1st and picked up his visa Feb 7th. There was normally about that time a 2 day turn around for visas, but they were having some computer problems that day which was a Thursday and this affected visa's being printed and distributed so we had to wat til that Monday. quick question Sweetee.. When applyuing for your visitors visa, how is it different when you apply now, being married, versus when you applied before? I mean do you still need a letter of invitation and passport info from person inviting you and what do you say is the reason for your visit. Do they give you a longer visa versus the time alotted before?

I was simply stating the info that I recieved, and I was under the impression that the OP wanted info on a foreign passport and citizenship solely for the purpose of traveling.. I mean there is no other use for it and I am sure that everyone would agree with that.

An American citizen can have dual citizenship as long as the country appied to doesnt require you to renounce your citizenship. I have made several inquiries into it myself and a friend who works in Nigerian Embassy explained it to me. You are technicinally a citizen immediately through marriage so all you need is the passport. At least that is the way it works in Nigeria. It is way cheaper and it can be done from here through the Ghana embassy although its cheaper to do it there when you arrive. If I am not mistaken, in the UK, an American has to chooes to be either American or British I think, they cant be both.

I also just went to pingo and I show that yesterday they did something to your acct becatus I thought the credit went thru on the 20th but it just says tried but on the 22nd it says signed up. so maybe they are making the corrections needed. your initials are JR right.. I didnt want to post your name as I am not sure that you are comfortable with that.

I signed up with pingo and my experience has not been nice. Anybody have to wait for 24 hr verification before using service?

I used two different debit card accounts to sign up and they have a hold on $100.00 worth of my money. On December 20th, I signed up and I kept entering my card information. For each time I did that it put the money on hold in my account. They even sent me an email saying they noticed I started but did not complete process. I gave up after the fourth try and figured I would just try using card from another account on Dec 22nd.

It registered that card information without any problem. I found out about issue when I went out to make a purchase and the card declined. I knew I had money on this card, so I called company and was told that I had four charges on hold with Pingo for $20.00.I am pissed because I called them first I was told that I would have to wait til Tuesday to talk to someone in billing I was like.....I don't think so..... he then told me that I could send an email to verification and they would answer. Still not happy about this, I called back to ask to speak to supervisor thats when I found out about the 24hr verification. I was told the second time that the matter will resolve it self. I have sent numerous emails to Pingo and no one has responded. I will get this resolved on Tuesday for sure.

Felshen I gave your e-mail address to recieve the credit but, after I could not get a resolution to my problem I won't be dealing with Pingo as that was unacceptable.

Sorry for the inconvenience, the cynical part is that I recieved your credit right away when you applied.. It takes usually a day to verify. I even have to verify when I change my CC . It is a security measure to ensure that there is no CC theft occuring. They should have the situation rectified shortly. I feel bad because I told you about the site. I apologize for not mentioning the verification process, although they do give you a $5 credit when you sign up until the card is verified so that you can make calls during the process. The dept that handles verification is different from the dept that is customer service. I am sure that they will address the issue and start the process to credit the extra funds back to your card on the next available business day. I too experienced a similiar problem when I first signed up.

At least 4 is about right.. dontforget the police reports and then picking them up. Luckily my hubby lived in Lagos so it wasnt much of an inconveinience.. since I was there with him, we just made the trips into adventure excursions since my favorite places were the Silverbird Cinema and the beach
