    :rofl::rofl::rofl: OKAY?!?! (Me too!)

    How long would you say is too long? I'm thinking to wait until 30 (3 yrs), but Steven wants me to have one yesterday. Perhaps it's because people rather talk about the bad (unordinary) than the good (ordinary), but every coworker that has kids talks about the amount of money kids cost & the restrictions on travel they have with young kids.

    I would wait. You need to to make sure you two are compatible before rushing into parenthood, so many marriages fail these days you need to make sure you're building on a strong foundation....Not saying that your marriage is necessarily doomed, but I think it's madness to rush into having kids too soon....

    :yes::yes::yes: That goes for any of us contemplating that decision & in the early stages of our relationships.

  5. FYI:We have an interview date for my husband's daughter on July 28th. Please pray for us! Cause we need it!

    Hi D! :luv: Lots of prayers for the interview!

    Hello! and thanks

    Ration: I work late a lot of days so why not leave early

    Opp: Boss is not here.

    Incentive: I will be...well almost beat...the 495 traffic.

    Okay. My speech on Tuesday was on the Interstate system. Do you mean I-495 or Highway 495? If you mean I-495, I can tell from the name that this is some sort of circumferential highway that runs around or alongside I-95. And since I-95 is odd numbered, I know that it runs north/south. Since it is a high number, I know it runs up the east coast. Am I right?

  6. Ladies - be careful on FB. My friend wrote that she needed help urgently so I wrote on her wall asking what is the problem. I also sent her a message. While I was waiting for a response...she called me. She said she is not logged on the FB. Meanwhile I got a message from her asking me to send money to her in London because she got robbed!!!. Then she got a message from me to call her immediately...mind you...we were on the phone :o The hackers are out...

    :wow::wow:

    :wow:

  7. I finally got my Wii fit hooked up tonight - I was trying to do the balance test and my mother was chatting my head off - I ended up being told I have a physical age of 62 :cry: I have to redo that when she's not around, lol

    Don't fret my dear, hopefully its not accurate. The best thing about it, is how quickly you can reverse your real age with just a few little changes. It's been awhile but I used realage.com and came out with a real age of 24. I'm not sure what questions the Wii fit asks; but you might compare? Did it give you tips on what to change? If not Real age will. Good luck!

  8. Shem, you definitely can't always go by what the scale says - because muscle weighs more than fat, and when you are working out you can actually gain but be more toned - When I lost the most weight, I stopped paying attention to my scale.

    One of the attorneys I work with struggled with his weight for years - He was debating doing the surgery, but he decided to try this fat camp in NC - he went away back in the spring for a month, and has kept at it since he got back. He's lost well over 100 lbs so far, and looks incredible.

    Congrats to you both. I agree, don't look at the scale- and actually muscle takes up less space than fat. For instance I have lost almost two dress sizes; but have gained weight. I figure at some point they occupy the same space, as you replace the fat with muscle, you gain weight; at least I have in my case. Eventually as your metabolism increases- you will start to burn more calories and start buring off the fat as well. from what I'm learning I don't it's a good idea to lose weight without gaining muscle at the same time or at least shortly afterward. It's the muscle mass that keeps your metabolisim ticking- plus, we women need the bone mass production or increase we get from lifting all those weights- later in life because as we age we tend to lose some...wheew that was a mouth full.

    Anyways good luck!!!

    miss you all

    Well, who cares if it says you're at a fit level of a 62 year-old or that what your BMI is. Just think that if you keep it up, next time you get on it, your number will be a lot lower, that's the incentive to keep doing it. :thumbs:

    Diana

    BMI is a joke.

    Okay, so I've lost 10lbs in 4 weeks and GUESS WHERE.... :angry: my breast

    oh my..it figures.

    Lord, now my thigh ache!

    Hey everybody!! Nice thread.

    I do Zumba? twice a week for an hour...and it's no joke. Great workout!

  10. Don't compare your marriage (or your spouse for that matter) to anyone else's marriage. You married your SO for a reason. He/she may not be like your best girlfriend's spouse, but you chose to love and marry him anyway. Also, know when to take a step back to collect your thoughts, so that hurtful words are not spoken too often (this is SUCH a challenge for me!). Meet your spouse where he/she is at: meaning, you can't make him/her do anything that you want them to, or make them be who you want them to be. Allow your SO to grow and evolve as a person in their own time, because if you try to rush or force it when they are not ready---it will only create tension and resentment in your marriage.

    Say, say it!!!...to add..Be slow to speak, quick to listen. What is said is not usually heard or understood esp when there are cultural differences. Someone else said it communication is the key! And above all else..keep God first -realize he is the key to your happiness and everything else falls in place!
