  1. My fiancé and I cant take the distance anymore. Im going to Zamia for ten days. We are sacrificing our honeymoon fund. It'll help with the next few months of waiting. Made it a year apart. This short visit will rejuvenate and calm us while we wait a few more months. For the first time in several long weeks, I feel stress free. Leaving next week. Woohoo!!

We are on the verge of doing the same.... I for sure am going off the deep end... I used to be a nice guy... :)

  2. Well I've an update for my fellow waiters. My Service Request had expired yesterday, so I waited for my lunch break and called from my car. Of course, that first person told me she would check, put me on hold, and came back saying "They are only processing before February 27th." I then listed off recent approvals from yesterday: 3/15, 3/20 x2, 3/21 x3, 3/23, 3/26, 4/2. There was silence, so I said, "Please transfer me to someone who can help me and not read off a card." She put me on hold for 10 minutes, and I got the Tier 2, but it was for Spanish speaking people. She said it was no problem, she also spoke English, although I could barely understand her. I explained what was happening. She put me on hold. She came back and claimed they had emailed me on Sept. 14th that I was still within normal processing times. I asked her if she considered 7 months ordinary. She said, "No." I then told her we still had a problem. Even though they emailed me on Sept. 14th, it was now Sept. 27th, and I am now 203 days out. She put me on hold again, and came back to say, unbelievably, "They are only processing before February 27th." I then called her a liar, and rolled off the same dates just processed yesterday. She paused, then told me the VSC email address to write to, and list my Service Request Tracking Number as the Subject, for that is what they would use to look it up. So, I wrote out a lengthy email to them and got the auto-response that it was received. Since my second wind was up, I then wrote to my congresswoman for a third time, instilling in her that she should help her poor voting constituent, giving screen shots of VJ processing times, Igor's List of both CSC and VSC. I doubt any of those will really help. But I feel better for unleashing some of this frustration back to the very cause of it. Once again, none of the files on my stack have been touched at all. Have I mentioned I hate VSC? :bonk:

Ugh! I'm sorry!! I have BEEN there!!! When every nerve in your body is so tense you're afraid you would literally and physically snap. I have committed to not talking to them... only about them... this tends to be the lesser of two evils for me. They are trained well, and are SKILLFUL in dodging/evading the point. (They probably do it 100's of times a day) Out of curiosity I wonder how many 821's ever called them to find out whats taking so long? (Naw I don't want to know... I might find out and throw my laptop across the room)...

  3. I might be beating a dead horse, but has anyone seen how many more I-821 receipts VSC got compared to CSC? I-821s, are a required component to the Dream Act application. In February 2012, VSC received (and processed ) 90,000 of these applications (Half the national intake) while CSC received 929 of these applications. See the graph below:

    C:\Documents and Settings\cdorbad\Desktop\821.bmp

No wonder why VSC is so slow... who should we be angry with? VSC or the politicians and decisionmakers who made this happen?

  4. I cant say I'm crying, however, at this point while normally relaxed, I am the most uptight person I've ever known. People are starting to take notice... family members, friends and work people. I did a "stress test" from my iphone (from azumio) it said I was 100% stressed. I had to retake it... got another 100% that stressed me out too....

  5. Rong & David, I LOVE your avatar pic... "Initial Review"....

I needed that, because I got my congresswoman's response in the mail today. As expected, a generic form reply from USCIS:

"Petition with assigned case number EACxxxxxxx was received on March 9, 2012, and is pending review at the Vermont Service Center (VSC). VSC is currently processing this form type within a receive date of February 27, 2012 or earlier. You can find the current processing times posted on the website."

So this is the same message they have on the site.. February 27. They renewed the site and response forms with that date and that is the story they are pumping out to the public. Yet we know for a fact beyond the shadow of a doubt they are processing late March petitions.

Thanks Tigerflower... I don't know what motivated me to do it.....:diablo:
