Posting this here, as well....

My wife received her US Passport yesterday, the culmination of several years of effort to navigate through the immigration process. It would not have been possible without the folks here at VisaJourney. Many, many, many thoughtful and helpful people are part of this community and I offer my sincerest, heartfelt gratitude for all the advice and support I've received in the 6 or so years I've been coming here.

They can't expect you to have tax records from 10-12 years ago. You're not required to keep them for any purpose. They should know this.

No, not yet. She was told 2-3 months.

That's my concern...that there's some additional processing behind the scenes that still needs to take place.

She filed in June in San Antonio....about 5 months from filing to interview.

She had an info pass appointment in August to get an I-551 stamp and was told at that time the ROC and N-400 would be adjudicated together. But, never heard another peep about the ROC piece of it.

So, my wife is a June 2016 ROC filer. She had her N-400 Citizenship interview and passed last Thursday, Nov. 30th. No mention at all of the pending ROC...which I though was interesting.

So, we're at or verynear the end....just the oath ceremony left.

So six weeks from interview to "Oath Ceremony mailed". I'm curious when your ceremony will take place. Keep us posted.

My wife passed her interview in San Antonio today. I was hoping for a Jan ceremony but seems unlikely.

So....my wife has her interview today and she passed. Took all of 20 minutes at the most. She was told it could take three months for the oath ceremony....that was the only downer.

No, they make no mention whatsoever about the I-751. The only instructions that were given were related to the naturalization interview process.

My wife has her interview next week. They will be adjudicating her I-751 and her N-400 at the same time.

I'm assuming she should expect something more in depth and detailed beyond the normal N-400 interview.

Does anyone have any experience with this?

I have my interview in a couple week. I know it's listed on the required documents. But, we don't have a copy of my spouses birth certificate. If I bring his passport, does that work?

June 20th, 2016....still waiting.

Had an info pass appointment to get I-551 stamp last week. All she would say is both the I-751 and N-400 cases are pending and that the N-400 would likely be adjudicated first. Find it hard to believe they would wait another 5-6 months to adjudicate the ROC...but that's what we were told. Coincidentally, N-400 also has June 20th date (2017)...did biometrics on 7/3 and still no "in line for appointment" notification yet.

So, my wife was to start a job at Wal-Mart today....but they wouldn't take her passport with an I-551 stamp as legal employment authorization. She offered up her green card and her 1 year extension letter also...they said no. They told her to come back with a permanent green card or a US passport.

I asked to speak to the manager but he refused...said he was too busy so I filed a complain with the U.S. Department of Justice-Immigrant and Employee Rights Section.

This is why people want to get their F'IN green cards. Because there are idiots, even at big companies, that should know better, that don't understand the rules. My wife had been looking forward to working...doing anything just to get some experience and get out of the house. Noe, we have to complain the the DOJ and risk pissing off a potential employer just to get what she's legally entitled to even though Wal-Mart is the one violating federal employment law.

Has anyone actually had their ROC and N-400 adjudicated at the same time? I've seen people say they've been told it will happen...but does it actually happen that way?

My wife's ROC is now 14 months old (June 20, 2016) and her N-400 was filed in June 2017.

We had an Infopass appointment today to get a stamp in her passport since her one year extension expires on September 12th, 2017. In the course of the conversation, we were told that her N-400 would be adjudicated before the I-751. I find it hard to believe that they will simply let the ROC linger until Jan or Feb of next year while the N-400 proceeds.

GC-Date: The 'Resident Since' Date located on your first green card.
Sent: Date N-400 was mailed to USCIS.
Cashd: Date your check was cashed / credit card was charged by USCIS.
NOA: Receipt Notice Date Printed on your official I-797 notification.
Fprints: Date assigned for fingerprinting (Bio-metrics). If you do your biometrics via walk-in prior to your scheduled appointment, please enter the date in bold blue.
In Line: Date you received e-notification about the start of your interview scheduling.
Int Ltr: Date you received the official letter in the mail regarding interview.
Interview: Date of your interview.
Oath: Date Oath taken.
Field Office: Your local USCIS office where you will have the N-400

Question for anyone....did the biometrics on July 3rd (as a walk in).

Case status still says Fingerprint Appointment Was Scheduled. Is that normal to have it say that 5 weeks after the biometrics were complete?
