I have my application approved on February 12, 2013 and placed in Que for Oath on February 14,2013.

Please advise when will I get an Oath Ceremony in Central Islip, NY.

This VFS fee is not only for the passport delivery...they are charging this fee because they are handling our paperwork..we submit all our docs to VSF and then they transfer them to the consulate after ensuring that everything is good so for this service they are charging this fee..your fee is not waived just because you opt to pick up the passport by yourself. That's an optional service that they are offering..hope this helps.

My husband got visa approved on february 7th at New Delhi.

I checked vfs to track my passport its saying no record found.

Please advise when can he get passport.

The interviewer lady was very nice. She just asked my husband about our marriage date, how many times i have visited him and for how long. If our marriage was a love marriage or arrange. That's all.

Then she said your case is approve and will recieve your visa in a week.

Hello guys.i had my interview on January 18 at Holtsville. All the officers seem pretty nice bc everyone came out wih a smile.

I was called and greeted by a wonderful officer lady in 60s. Very generous.

I had stayed 9 monyhs in India back in 07 cz of my health issue.

She passed me on civic english test and recommendfor approval. She said she just have to get a supervisor sing on my application. She said it is just a formality.

She said i will get a Oath in March. Next Oath ceremony. and ecplained me a direction to get there.

Also, do we have to submit medical to VFS first or take to interview.

I am gettting so many different answers. please let me know what is the correct efficient procedure.

Yeah thats all i guess, Do we need to submit 230 and 864 again?? PCC is also important. I forgot about bank statements and recent pay stubs.

DS230 and I864, dont have to submit again, but take it along anyway. It doesnt' hurt to carry if they need or ask.

I think we need not to submit anything to VFS. NVC will be sending all your submitted original documents to the Embassy. You have to walk in to interview with mentioned documents in the interview letter. As I said before, login to the traveldoc site and choose pickup method either local pick up or courier service. Thats all i guess.

Someone just frequed me out that we have to submit. I was like we did submit it all. They havent asked for any documents in the interview letter.

I have submitted alot of documents when i sent DS 230 and Aos.

Now, he will take these to interivew:

Original Interview Letter (They mailed me and emailed me)

Job Letter with recent paystubs

6 months bank statements

My greencard copy

My Passport copy (Proof that i have visited him)

Affidavit from my both side parents that we got married (Just someone told us to get it)

Accomodation letter from my parents that he will stay with them at our house (BC they are owners)

DS 230 part 1 (Signed) and 2(Unsigned)

AOS I-864 EZ (Signed by me(petitioner))

My citizenship interview letter (Just extra)

Plenty of photos from our ring ceremony to wedding and post wedding

His side:

Ration Card

Voter registration card

His passport

Passport size photos

I guess that would be enough for an interview officer to say "Goto Land of Dreams-US)

Sure, Yes you can pick up in delhi or you can choose one of documents pick up center near your place. But I am thinking of staying one more day and pick up. Login to traveldocs.com and register as immigrant visa candidate.

So far documents like:

1. Sealed Medical Report

2. Original Interview Letter

3. Copies of all submitted documents to NVC

4. Most recent tax return that means 2011

5. Latest w2's from 2012

6. Pass port pictures 2 inch by 2 inch

7. Pass port new and old

8. Pictures of both of you to show relation ship

9. Greeting cards/Phone calling list/Petitioner passport with some stampings when he/she went to india

Thats all from my list, Please add if I missed anything

Oh okay. So it is better to go back and collect from local document pick up facility. I have already registered in traveldocs.com site saying i will pick up in Mumbai. I will log in and change it again.

Dear All Indians, especially Mumbai guys, I am thinking of staying for one more day in Mumbai to collect the passport? what do you guys suggest?? Is it a good idea to stay one more day to pick up or go home and leave the courier to get the passport? Please advice

Hi Waheguru! are you the petitioner? IF you are, I know you are going for naturalization interview on the 18th based on ur signature. Do u know or did u asked ur lawyer or USCIS how will ur change of immigration status before ur husband's interview affect his F2a process at the moment?

I have asked someone for my citizenship. Hopefully I will get an Oath Ceremony before my husband's interview. Then he might take my naturlization certificate to an interview. Dont know if it will change the category or not. I am happy that he is coming here and i am becoming citizenship.

Same here, i got my IL yesterday, Feb 6 2013. Do we need to fill DS 160 before interview?? like other visa's please reply

DS 160 is for non immigrants i thought.

If you have already filled DS230 then take a copy with you and the part 2, so you can sign it there.

I have sent all the documents to NVC along with Cover Sheet. Now, they havent asked for any documents.

We will still take originals to the interview.

Anyone have any idea which other documents to take.

Also, i have applied 1.9 months after our wedding. What should we tell if they asks. I had a plan to stay in India, but then i spent one summer there and gave up.

Did you call NVC, I haven't receive my IL too but called NVC and came to know my interview is on Feb 6 2013. I dont know what is happening with email IL's some people received and some dont. They will send via regular post. Lets see

Everyone receives an email if u filled it in ds 230. They will also send a hard copy. We were scheduled on Jan 02, 2013 and got the mail in US post today stamped on the January 03,2013.

Update! My online status has changed, "On Jan 2nd your application was scheduled for interview." I will repost when I get the letter with the actual interview date. NY is definitely moving again!!
