Hi AdiV,
Regarding your first case, you have to be patient
Secondly, Medical Reports valid for 6 months...
payal but how long it usually takes yaar they said it took 60 days to review our case. I had completed my interview on 3rd December 2012. & submitted document on 22nd January 2013. How come we have to keep patient beyond 60 days. its 221g for PCC.
-
I haven't filed yet but I am debating since it has been more than 60 days since my wife's passport submission and over 120 days since the original interview. That's beyond reasonable time frame to get processed. I am going to wait another week before going that route
hi dinank, how are you? you got 221g for what. what's the reason for it?
-
I say keep emailing Support-India. One time they emailed me with just one line "Your application is pending under Section 221(g) of the Immigration and Nationality Act (INA) for administrative processing. We will contact you in order to complete the processing of your visa."
That's all they wrote. But it helps. I emailed every other day.
You mean support-india@ustraveldocs.com right....

I got a 221g for PCC too. Thats exactly what i thought too. Jus one document, they possibly cant take more time than 60 days. But nearing 60 days since i submitted my documents and no update as yet. Not to demoralize you or anything. But yeah. After all the wait, it is so frustrating.!!
I know you are not demoralize. we all r here to help each other, At least by knowing each other status, we can hope for ours, this website is help to me throughout my visa procedure, i hope yours gonna be on its way soon...

I just wanted to see if it is the case that if you have a recent passport (In India, if that makes a difference) then you don't need the clearance certificate for the NVC?
Wasn't sure whether this should go here or in the NVC thread.
its better you delay your interview but don't go without PCC even though you have new passport.

My understanding is that spouse name have to be mentioned only if you have kids. Also, are you in Gujarat? My hubby also was just hinted about this requirement when he went to get his PCC at the Kerala PSK but he adamantly said he do not intend to make any changes to his passport and that all copies provided to NVC is based off this passport and so any changes can give him trouble. Fortunately they agreed and didnot make a big deal of it.
Try reading this link and maybe it could be of help to you http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/368100-police-clearance-certificate-in-iv-package-to-nvc-office/page__st__15. you can find this link in the previous link but just for your quick reference try this site too http://www.expatforum.com/expats/australia-expat-forum-expats-living-australia/104190-pcc-not-possible-bcoz-my-wifes-name-not-my-passport.html.
Hope this helps you my friend.
thank you so much....

Hello, to all my friends
I got my interview dated 3rd December 2012. In my packet 4 , they ask me for PASSPORT POLICE CERTIFICATE (PCC). i went to passport office, they told me to change my passport to add my wife and then you get your PCC. i don't to how long it gonna take to finish thing up in order to catch my interview timeline. i already get the Indian police certificate. i already submit it to NVC. Any idea what to do..............

-

I prepared all my paperwork for my NVC phase... I was approved for my I-130 September 5th. So I keep calling NVC but they have not recieved my case. I am curious... I booked my ticket for India in November-Jan... Spending time with my husband...
1.Will this NVC phase be completed by then?
2.And what should I take with me to India, documents? I am hoping I can be present for his interview?
3.Is this wishful thinking?
4.Should I post pone my trip until this process is over?
FYI-I have never been to India in the Winter, only during the summer twice (for my engagment, 2010, and wedding,2012) in excruciating heat and humidity... It was fun but overwhelming....I really don't want to stay more then three months... But do start school in late January..... So just curious, don't want to get denied again for lack of proof/evidence...
I am well aware of the fact, that even though I have no one in India, besides my spouse and his family, I do get home sick and miss my familiar surroundings and family and friends. Its hard being dependent in a country that you have to adjust yourself for specific norms, especially as a woman... But this is the journey that one takes when marrying someone in a differnt country.... As I'm writting this its crystal clear that I'm hessitant to go there myself, but can someone blame me.....Its hard...Any ways back to the topic.....
Would really appreciate someone answering these questions.....
Thanks...
Same here, I got my NOA 2 on 21 august 2012. But didn't received yet NVC case number.

1. This is mainly dependent upon YOU and how long you take to gather documents for the AOS and IV packages. If you have everything prepared (and it gets accepted on the first go-around), then you can be done with NVC in as little as a month from the time the case number is assigned. If this does happen, you might even have an interview date for BEFORE your planned trip (or while you're there).
2. As the petitioner, you don't really need to bring any documents. The only thing I can think of would be proof of relationship evidence (if you have it and not the beneficiary). And being allowed inside the interview varies by consulate/embassy. At Montreal, the petitioner is most certainly allowed.
3. Is what wishful thinking?
4. You can do whatever you want. But remember, if you finish with the NVC process by the end of October, you can expect an interview for sometime near the end of this year. If you book a trip that lasts till the end of January, you'll be spending around a month or more (if approved at the interview) extra than needed, but this might not be a con if you want to enjoy your time together in India. Other couples want to move asap after getting their visa.
Hi, saylin how are you? you previous posts are really helpful to me. But my question is i got NOA 2 dated 21st august, 2012. My wife keep calling to NVC everyday. USCIS take only 67 days to complete from NOA 1 TO NOA 2. So, what should we have to do? NVC said to my wife they are generating as per computer schedule. Please any guidance.

•Our processing improvements also affect the delivery of documents. Under our new system, passports, visas, immigrant visa packets and other documents will be delivered to 33 document pick-up locations across India within a week at no charge. Applicants will be asked to choose a delivery location when they schedule their appointments. Using our website, they can track the progress of their visa application. When their documents are ready for pick-up, they will be notified via email and/or SMS.
Hi how are you? New system will speed up the procedure.

Hi everyone,
My husband posted our I-130 application to Phoenix lockbox on 08/23/2012. He has as yet neither received a text or email to say they have received our application, should we be worried or can it take a few days? I was wondering if they ever 'forget' to send the email of receipt and just get on with beginning to process the application?
I do believe I am going to have to learn some patience over the coming months,
Thanks.
it will take about one week time & they will send you NOA1 i.e notice of action 1 on your postal address. if he make payment through cheque money should be debited in his account. you might have to wait more days because next monday is labor day in USA.
