I got a reply from the Army. They said as long as my commitment to my own country is completed, reserves and whatnot, then I am free to serve in the US military.

I'm not going to sign up yet though. Want to go to college and study Psychology, then join as a Clinical Psychologist down the line.

I'm really feeling stressed about it all. I can't seem to switch off. I know as soon as I receive my texts/emails, I'll start worrying about something else.

Bank of America do a cool thing where they round up your purchases with their debit card to the nearest $ and put the difference into your linked savings account. It soon adds up!

Also making a budget really helps. If you limit yourself each day, week or month - however you want to do it, you'll see your bank balance grow...

Sounds like a big mess, but the salient point is that your friend's status, based on what you've said and that has been discussed, cannot be taken from him - at least not for what is being discussed here anyway...

I've sent an email to the service I'm interested in, US Army, and I'm just waiting to hear back from them.

I served in Her Majesty's Royal Navy from 2001-2003, just wondering if that would make me inadmissible to serve for another country's military once I have LPR status?
