Deferred Action is not a bad idea, it was just excuted poorly. It was pushed through by the president for the election without a plan to handle it. The scary part is they have only got 400,000 applicants, some were predicting 1.2 million. Now the USCIS is forced to do what it can to complete Obama's promises. They are approving about 2400 of these cases a day, so they are doing an amazing job with those cases. It's just too bad they are sacrificing K1 applicants to get it done.

Oohhhh ya now they can throw out the approvals huh I'd like to see them throw out that many approvals for k1 in one day for just ONCE

With the amount of ppl who complain on her everyday about the slowness of visas and who have before, there should be waaaaaaaaaay more signatures then 44! Come on ppl! Everyone counts! But that's a very small amount of time..

But maybe Sweety u can do the wedding just don't do it legally through the government just a party and wedding, but r u the USC? but he can't get a tourist visa maybe?

Oh ya sorry Hun, not gonna happen unless ur one of those random quick terms. Cuz even if uscis picks up the pace back to normal..that's noa2 in may, then nvc , then wait til it gets to ur country, a few weeks, then wait til they get to ur case file, then send out the package by mail...then u get it..then u gather stuff, then snd it in by mail again..then wait til they send the other package stating ur interview date which can be scheduled for several months later..or a month..then u have to hope to be approved, then wait for visa to come to u I don't mean to sound li,e a downer , but saying this helps me plan out how long I have to wait I like to organize my thoughts hehe..

I requested an expedite today due to financial hardship.

yesterday i found out that the US govt will take my entire tax return due to unpaid student loans (im not from here so i wasnt well oriented going to school) i thouht me paying sallie mae $400 monthly was doing it. WRONG apperantly i owe the govt and nevrr got the letters cause ive moved specialllly never got a letter syating its gotten to this point.

anywho i called he dept of ed made an arrangement of $128 monthly (yes aside from sallie mae $400).

We have an adorable baby shy of a year so of course im providing childcare, clothes food. Childacare alonr is $600.

And of course normal adult bills rent, utilities, transportation.......

So yesterday needless to say i cried and decided to shoot for an expedite because it is a struggle. I dont qualify for anything because on paper i make a good amount but with my responsabilities im shy from not eating.

Lets see if a negative turns into a positive.

Well not to get ur hopes too high..but ..a lot of people who wait as long as you actually end up getting approved right after the RFE...like uscis is getting together the last problems with your case, then if you send it in correctly they give you the approval:D

Ihave been reading replies here and all I have read are really heart warming.I checked the status of our application to make it sure that I have the same message in my application status and yes I have the same status as a matter of fact it is the same status after 2 weeks of receiving our NOA1. Today is the 17th day since we received NOA1 and it has the same message saying that my alien registration number had been changed in connection to I 129F application. If this is the case I am so grateful. God bless us!

You are a new petitioner and sorry to let your hopes down but actually everyone who recently petitioned has the alien registration changed update. Pretty much everyone and months after people arent getting approved. But for the people who have been waiting several months ..like 5 or 7 or whatever , when they get this, yes they normally get noa2, but not for the recent filers sadly..

Hey, just to add. I included scans of every page of my passport as did my fiance, inc. the I.D bit and the parts which showed I was admitted to the U.S and on what dates. If either of you have something in your passport (you being admitted to Turkey or him to the U.S), it might help to prove you've met in person in the last 2 years. I scanned our boarding passes too.

I signed my stuff in blue ink. I'd read about some people being RFE'd using black as they think it might have been photocopied.

You need the I-134 and supporting documentation for the visa interview.

I felt the same way reading it. I have a trip planned to Istanbul next month to see my husband. And I understand your feeling about your fiance going there. My son is a little worried about this trip too.

I think all of us that will have our loved ones interviewed in Ankara are worried. But my hope is that they wont try this again anytime soon.

I was at this embassy on December 10, waiting outside while my fiancee was inside for her interview. There were so many people waiting with me. I am saddened by this, but also thankful that there were not more injuries and death from this attack. I hope this does not disrupt the business of the embassy and that those with interview next week will be able to be seen.

I know, a man lost his life..Im so sad for him and his family tho. But of course it could have been much worse!

got an update. It says, On February 5, 2013, your Alien Registration Number was changed relating to your I129F, PETITION FOR FIANCE(E). my fiance actually tried to ask the customer rep. if it is possible to talk to a tier2. unfortunately, she just told my fiance "if i were you, just keep on calling us or give us a call by the end of this week.

after reading some topics about the sudden change, it made me kinda happy ( i suppose?) cos some k1's who had the same msg got approved post 1 week.

Ya I always was so confused..on why they updated on feb 5th for DECEMBER..how does that make sense? Us think they would just put the February date haha...I thought they updated only on the 5th day too. But now someone's saying the 15th?

My girlfriend applied for a tourist visa to visit me, but she got denied. Will trying to get a tourist visa and get denied have a negative impact on the K1 visa approval?

Is the K1 pretty much guaranteed as long as a bona fide relationship is proven and intent to marry proven. In other words, we are in love. (assuming no criminal records and sufficient affidavit of support)

Why did she apply for a tourist visa? Did she state it was to visit u?

I dream about the days where I sat here first month after our NOA1 and thinking it would take 5 months....I felt so much better when 3 months passed, thinking...not much more to go and now.....its depressing to be honest.

I'm hearing from my lawyer about 8-12 months, total bummer, last year this time it took 90 days.

Never believe your lawyer about that id say, he knows just as much as we do, he asked the same people we ask and he looks at the same places we look. he may be a lawyer but really they arent much special(that coming from a friend who is a lawyer for this stuff). It can change at anytime, no one can predict what happens

Makes me kinda wish I went the spousal visa route,..getting like the same time but muucchh cheaper..also wishing i filed abroad when i was living there ..had NO IDEA they get approved faster..i mean who would think that...

Anyone notice on the case status page it is now saying "expect 35-40 days between your case being received and it's appearance on the case status page"? Mine was on there the same day when I got my receipt email, and there was no such message before. They are getting overwhelmed. Here's hoping it's quite temporary.

I know..now its kind of REAL evidence that this is happening, before it was just people talking and hear it from the ppl at uscis (always state diff things) and lawyer...none which really could say FOR sure...but that post on their website is real evidence..really not fair..

I wanted to thank everyone for there comments. Of course it was everything I was already thinking, but actually needed to see it for myself. I know odd right. Anyway I think some of the guilt I felt is because I was not perfect, I made mistakes in the marriage also. I am strong, independent, and at times inpatient. I say what is on my mind way to quick and sometimes do not think. Of course he knows I know this about myself so that has been his focus on how it was all my fault. Example one day I was doing all the cleaning and he was sitting there online doing nothing. This was before he had a job and i was working two, I asked him to help out and he said I dont do stuff like that. I told him I was not his mother and he either learned to help or he didnt need to stay here. Well he packed up and walked out. So of course that ended up with it being me kicking him out. I feel kicking someone out is packing bags and throwing them out of the door which I never did, but I kicked him out. Was I wrong to say it, well yes.

Anyway my update is this, after last night and getting some horrible messages when I told him definitely no I could not do this and lie. He said one simple thing that made email our lawyer and pay him to start divorce proceedings. He told me I needed to go kill myself because I was a piece of Sh*t. He also said him and his family would pray very hard to God that I would have a horrible death when my time comes.

I am sad, maybe because the fairy tale never really happened for me. I am sad because I really loved this person who now wishes death upon me. Am I ok? Well no not yet, with help and time I will be. This has been a very long lonely journey.

Yes the data was updated on February 5th, but if you look right above the chart it says "Field Office Processing Dates for California Service Center as of: December 31, 2012". So it's more than a month old data already.

But it still says "POSTED FEB 5th 2013"

Aww Im so sorry for you guys but your wait is almost over and u can look at it like this, ull be out and approved and at least you didnt have to wait TOO long in the backlog like a lot of us just starting are gonna have to do!
