ThisSiteSucks reacted to Butterfly307 in Has a Canadian ever been denied a marriage based green card?
The forum location means nothing. Turns out, the OP is adjusting from B2 and posted in the wrong sub forum. A lot of people confuse marriage based AOS with "Family based visas" that's why it is good to ask what visa they are adjustng from.

What visa are you adjusting from?

ThisSiteSucks reacted to Butterfly307 in should my fiance move to another country before i file for a K1 visa for Her?
Get married and file for the IR-1 (spousal) visa. In that case co-sponsors are allowed. 30 years age difference is a huge red flag in the eyes of USCIS, especially in a high fraud country like the Philippines. I always wondered how come that so many Filippinas end up dating American guys twice their age that could be their father.

ThisSiteSucks reacted to Butterfly307 in Case Approved!
Another expedited case from the Philippines. There are many couples at TSC who wait since March, April, May, June, etc. 2014. But 90% of cases involving a person from the Philippines get their NOA2 in 30 days or less no matter service center they are.

ThisSiteSucks reacted to Butterfly307 in Our own thread
This thread is not about you or other CSC filers. Stop being so sensitive. Nobody attacked you. The OP and other people posting here have every reason to be frustrated. I am glad that they made this thread to vent, if it helps. Months and months of waiting is very hard. As an ex-CSC filer (now in the process of AOS), I wish all the TSC K1 filers nothing but the very best!!

ThisSiteSucks reacted to Butterfly307 in The Hard Part: What takes place in the beneficiary's home country...
1. English.
2. Most US embassy websites are bilingual: English and the given country's native language. Your fiance can use an interpreter at the interview. However, it is advisable that the petitioner attends the interview as well, especially if the beneficiary's English is poor.
3. Most couples obviously live apart during the K1 process, the petitioner is in the US and the beneficiary is in his/her home country. It is up to you how you solve the language problems. Do you even speak the beneficiary's native language? If not, then it could be a red flag to the embassy, they might will be wondering how did you two establish a relationship without even speaking a common language fluently?
4. Yes, everything must be translated to English. Most people use certified translations.
5. Just Google it. It is better to start obtaining those papers as soon as you can, if the beneficiary lived in more countries.
6. Once your case arrives to the US embassy of the beneficiary's country, the embassy will mail an instruction package to the beneficiary. The instructions are very specific and clear and obviously vary from country to country

Hope it helps.

ThisSiteSucks reacted to Butterfly307 in HELP! What do I do in this K1 after marriage situation??
It is hard to imagine that this is a bonafide marriage.
The whole story seems highly suspicious. Got married last week, but OP is already trying to figure out how to adjust status by himself, which is, by the way, impossible. And the blackmailing thing... smells like immigration fraud.

ThisSiteSucks reacted to Butterfly307 in Transfer Diploma To United States
There are ways to transfer her diploma, so she doesn't have to start all over again.
Check out this site, it might be very useful: https://ece.org (Educational Credential Evaluators)

ThisSiteSucks reacted to Butterfly307 in VAWA I-360 approved but I-485 was denied after interview.
You sneaked through the border, stayed illegally, don't have proper documentation, have a crimanal history, filed for VAWA (falsely or not, who knows), AND you want a green card? Haha.
-
ThisSiteSucks reacted to Butterfly307 in VAWA I-360 approved but I-485 was denied after interview.
Yeah this dude played the system in so many ways. I honestly wish these kind of people would be deported and banned for a lifetime or two.

ThisSiteSucks reacted to Boiler in VAWA I-360 approved but I-485 was denied after interview.
Even more impressive that I thought:
False Asylum Claim
Multiple marriages seeking a GC
Even Mother abuses her visitor visa and stays and adjusts.
Presumably last wife was not playing ball so smacks in a VAWA and we all know how legitimate many of those are.
And Nigerian, sometimes you can not make it up!
I was going to suggest a troll as he hits so many bases, sadly I think the story is true.

ThisSiteSucks got a reaction from Jonmar70 in AOS-Joint sponsor death...
I see you filed in April 2014 which was a year ago. Have you received an interview waiver letter?

ThisSiteSucks reacted to YouAndMeForever in Amanda from Bucharest Embassy denied my friend a VISA because of her beauty
She was denied because of her "beauty"? More like she was denied for not having enough and convincing ties to her country. Tourist visas are hard to get, especially for young people (since they are more likely to be potential immigrants).

..because of her beauty?? For sure there's more to it. There's nothing u can do. Go ahead and sue the gov't. Lol

ThisSiteSucks reacted to cdneh in Amanda from Bucharest Embassy denied my friend a VISA because of her beauty
She won't have been denied for being beautiful. You've said she appeared to them to be without strong ties to her home country. You were not present I assume? Difficult to know exactly what was said then.

ThisSiteSucks reacted to YouAndMeForever in What to tell to the CBP officer?
Thank you for your informative answer :)
-
ThisSiteSucks reacted to YouAndMeForever in What to tell to the CBP officer?
So the best would be to say that I came to see the country and I'm staying with a good friend of mine (if they ask me I'll say we met online), right?
-
ThisSiteSucks reacted to YouAndMeForever in What to tell to the CBP officer?
You're right that's what is the best thing to say because he is actually a GOOD FRIEND of mine. And now that we have never met in person yet it's better to stick with the "good friend" expression instead of suggesting in any way that we have serious intentions with each other in future
-
ThisSiteSucks reacted to YouAndMeForever in What to tell to the CBP officer?
This is why I will stick with the word "friend" too. Since we've never seen each other in person it's totally reasonable to say he is a good friend of mine and it's not a lie at all. Nobody has to know that we are already in love. Just because I love him already I won't say "boyfriend" and put myself to the risk of going through extra security or questioning, there is no need to add all that stress. I'll just say I came to see the country I'll be staying at the place of a good friend of mine who I met online. My stay will only 9 days long anyway and not like 88 days and I'll have only one middle sized luggage with clothes and nothing extra. And of course I'll be having my return ticket right in my hand

ThisSiteSucks reacted to YouAndMeForever in HELP: How to pay the $340 fee for the I-129F package?
Did you read my question? My question is about how to pay for the package and NOT about the Form I-129F itself.
-
ThisSiteSucks reacted to YouAndMeForever in HELP: How to pay the $340 fee for the I-129F package?
I did. So does that mean that we should send the check or the money order with the package as a proof of payment?

ThisSiteSucks reacted to YouAndMeForever in Missouri belongs to which service center? CSC or TSC?
Also could yall please tell me where to find a map or something to see to which service center each state belongs?
Thanks in advance
-
ThisSiteSucks reacted to YouAndMeForever in Missouri belongs to which service center? CSC or TSC?
So in other words to which service center will be my case (my I-129F packet) being transferred to?
I know I'll get to know it when the NOA1 arrives, but I'm just curious.
I sent it to the Dallas Lockbox via USPS as instructed.
