  1. Called NVC to check if my son's CR2 and my wife's CR1 cases are joined up. The operator is lady, kind of an angry bird, yelling for no reasons. After insisted to talk with her supervisor, she finally connected me to a supervisor. The odd is, the supervisor, again a lady (much nicer than the operator), told me "there is no 100% guarantee that the two cases would be scheduled for same day interview, but it is extremely rare if scheduled separately". The supervisor does not even ask our NVC case numbers. How do I read this, are the cases joined up? ...

If not sure call again, usually if I'm not satisfied with the answer of one operator I call back after an hour or if I need to clarify more or didnt hear the operator really good because of the connections.

  2. Yeah, apparently the hotel's wifi isn't so fantastic. So I thought I'd post the good news (hope she doesn't mind!) :)

No, definitely fill out that question on the DS-230. I was answering someone who filled out the DS-260 and it didn't show up. I wasn't talking to you at all.

I just took a shower and am now wearing my PJ version ;)

The bubble tea I had wasn't as good as I remember. It tasted like there was some kind of espresso in it or something and I'm not a fan of coffee or anything.

Okay Saylin tnx just clarifying ....

  3. yeah, why are the call agents in NVC rude? i know they got tired also but let's change place. let's see what is more tiring answering these calls or waiting for a decision so you can finally start planning and "living" your life with your husband. (extra painful if you have a son been waiting/dreaming for so long to be with his daddy so they can wrestle the whole day). maybe these call agents don't realize that.

The thing is they are being paid by answering, but we never being paid by waiting no0pb.gif

Anyways BIG payday at the endheart.gif

  4. Saylin i need to get a cell phone from here(USA).what id i need to show them to get it? I didn't get my green card yet.hubby is confusing me and insisting me to get it in his name which i dont want.Is it true that i need to deposit $500 to get a cell phone line?

Or just buy a Prepaid simcard like AT&T 60/mos Unlimited Call and txt, or you and your hubby can go together to the office where he open his account or any branch then open another line.

  5. My fiance called NVC on May 10 (Manila time) and was told that NVC received our case "a couple of days ago." So probably the 8th of May. Then NVC replied to my email inquiry... they sent me an email on May 16, 3 AM (Manila time), informing us that they've already forwarded our case to USEm in Manila.

thank you, called NVC today but no case receive yet . . .whistling.gif

  6. PI isn't eligible for electronic processing, everything you do will have to be by snail mail.

The petitioner will handle and sign all the affidavit of support package details. The Beneficiary will have to fill out, sign and send the documents for the IV package. The beneficiary can do this ahead of time and send it to the Petitioner, and the petitioner sends in the package to NVC or they can mail the IV package directly to NVC from where they are.

For real? that makes our case more slower. the D230 form at www.state.gov says on top expires 04/30/12 I don't know if we can use that.

how about payment? hope we can do it online.

  7. CONGRATULATIONS!!! So happy for you both! In less than a month it will be our turn... Looking forward to stories/tips about the interview.

    when NVC received your case?

It took two weeks for my fiancee to get her visa delivered by 2GO (dates are in my sig) Some get it quicker so I have read.

    Congrats!!

    thank you for your info

  8. Howdy all! Just thought I would officially join the thread. We received our NOA2 on May 10th, but I don't know if that makes us May filers or not. I do know that this thread is so incredibly useful. I was completely confused before I sat down to read it all. Saylin's links are truly lifesavers. Thanks to all of you (and congrats to everyone getting their approvals)!

At the moment, we're just waiting for a case number. I imagine our file isn't even at the NVC. I haven't tried calling yet, but maybe I will start next week. Keeping in mind all I've learned here, I am guessing we may get our interview scheduled sometime in September/October. We will likely have to wait longer than I wanted to get our paperwork together. I love my husband but he does tend to procrastinate. For a while now, I have been gently nudging him to get to work on his police clearance. He just sent the application for it off yesterday, and complained to me that "It's going to take four to six weeks!" It took all my fortitude not to say "I told ya so!" To be fair, we did get our NOA2 several weeks earlier than I thought we would. Still, it's frustrating to think this will add to our wait.

To keep busy, I'm putting together some photo albums to take to the interview, and keeping my fingers crossed that we get a case number in a week or two. Good luck to everyone waiting!

My NOA2 May 14,2012 called NVC today but case not receive yet, i'll call again next wk

  10. My fiancee's sister that that there was a HUGE line at the embassy at 0300 people had aleady started to file in line, as of right now no word. Still waiting to hear the word....

Anyways she had an appointment, don't worry will be over soon, good news will come.

  11. Her visa will be mailed to her home, you can arrange to pick it up at the 2go place nearest you there.

CO at window 61 is due for a "new job", it called burnout!! LMAO

thank you, Because I want to plan my vacation if either I go with her to the interview, or go home after the interview then go back here in USA together, i have only 1wk.
