  1. Yes, you need to file the I-751 form within 90 days of your expiration date on your green card. So, if your POE was 7/31/2012 and the expiration date on the green card is the same as your POE date plus 2 years, you would file between May 2nd, 2014 to August 30th, 2014.

    Finally, grats! kicking.gif

    I believe for Canada it's 1 year.

After NVC has your packages, you should hear back within a week. As for interview date, this will ALWAYS vary by country. You can find out the next day or the next month. You need to do your own research for this part.

I always suggest putting the case number on every document and form for both packages. There are just TWO things you do NOT put the case number on: bar-coded cover sheet and cover letter (if you included one).

Yes, 2 identical photos taken within the last 6 months.

That's not an administrator issue. That's your own issue. To solve though: copy your entire signature and paste it in like Notepad or something. Then completely erase it all from your signature and save it. Then go back and put it back in. You're going to need to get rid of colors, bolds, italics, etc (IE, no formatting). You might also have to trim some stuff down. You're only allowed 40 lines of code for the signature, so use it wisely.

    * For additional interview information and document preparation guidelines please visit

the U.S. Embassies, Consulates, and Diplomatic Missions website, www.usembassy.gov

and select PHILIPPINES:MANILA from the list of U.S. Embassies, Consulates and

    Diplomatic Missions.

    * Any original documents that were requested by the NVC but were not submitted to the

NVC must be brought to the visa interview.

    * The applicant must bring his/her medical examination results to the visa interview in an

envelope sealed by the medical office.

    * The applicant must bring the correct size and number of photographs to the visa

interview. They must measure 2 inches by 2 inches (5 cm by 5 cm) on a white

    background.

    * IF a sponsor filed an I-864 (Affidavit of Support) AND provided the NVC with proof of

an IRS Federal Income Tax Extension in lieu of a Federal Income Tax Return, the

applicant must bring the sponsor's most recent Federal Income Tax Return to the visa

    interview.

    * Failure to present all necessary documents to the Consular Officer will result in the

applicant's immigrant visa being refused at the initial interview.

    Addition :

    Visa Interview Requirements

( Name of my Wife ) must bring the following to the visa interview:

    * Any original documents that were requested by the NVC but were not submitted to

    the NVC

    * The medical examination results if not submitted to the Embassy/Consulate by the

    physician

    * The correct size and number of photographs

    * Valid passport for all traveling applicants

The following table lists the documents requested by the NVC and whether or not the NVC

received them. Please note that even though the applicant may have provided the

NVC with a copy of a document, the applicant is still required to bring the original

    document to the visa interview.

Regarding NBI, my wife took two copies for future use. Good Lckgood.gif

  3. I really think those operators just say the first thing that comes to mind without checking anything. When I called to ask if my case was received by the NVC I was told it wasn't there. 7 hours later my husband calls & he is told it has been there since July 16th

Sometimes you need to call 2x/day in order to hear the good news, some operator says that they start processing in the morning then finalizing in the afternoon.

  4. Yes! There is a seminar from the CFO agency partners.

U cAn attend the seminar before or after ur visa.

If u attend before ur visa issuance, at least u already hv a certificate from the CFO agency partners, but u will still have to go back at the CFO department when u have ur visa so that u can get ur CFO sticker on ur visa.

If u attend after your visa issuance ; u can get ur certificate & sticker at the same day. The seminar is just half day & during the afternoon ul undergo an individual interview after that u will receive a certificate of attendance from the CFO partner agency.

If u have your certificate, uL go to the CFO department and present your certificate, pay around P400-600, and the CFO Will place a sticker on your visa.

    Good luck ^__^

    Yup that's what I heard thank you very much . . . good.gif

You're talking about the CFO seminar, I think. This is Philippines-specific (no other country does it that I know of). I suggest looking in the Philippines regional forum for your answers: http://www.visajourn...29-philippines/ Don't post a new topic, actually search for it there. I'm sure this is a common question with a million topics already created. And it's probably mentioned somewhere on the Embassy site: http://manila.usembassy.gov/

Yup, that's what we call a false checklist here on VJ. That's excellent news. This is a very good indication that your AOS package was reviewed and accepted. I suggest calling NVC asap and ask!

Thank you SAYLIN your the BEST good.gif

  6. Received our "CASE COMPLETE" email this morning!......finally!

I called the NVC and they said appointment date hasn't been set yet and they only schedule in the second week of the month for the following month (big lie LOL).....Getting real close now!

Grats!!!kicking.gif according to my experience not all operator says this --- >> (They schedule in the second week of the month). I called everyday 60% of the operator that I spoke with wll say There is no specific time or date for Scheduling, its all depend on your country embassy for availability. good.gif

  7. A.P.P.R.O.V.E.D!!

Our interview could not have gone better. The officer was so nice, and we were in and out in just 10 minutes. Got our C-3 spot, so that helped. :)

Just can't believe that it's finally over! What a stressful and frustrating journey. But how rewarding it is in the end!!! Hubby got the email from Loomis today saying that they sent it out, so it should be here by Thursday, and then it's back to the states.

    SO HAPPY!!!
