WOOHOO!! just got the interview appointment letter from NVC!!
Haven't woken my wife yet to tell her, but I'm kind of wondering how upset she'll be....the date? Friday, July 13! I think this will take a LOT of convincing that things will go okay!
Grats wake her up!!! lol

Wooooo! Finally got our NVC case #!
On a side note, I have to agree with others....what is the deal with the nasty NVC operators?! Tonight I waited 32 minutes on hold to speak with this angry woman, she declined to provide her name. She read the case number to me, and when I asked if I could repeat it to verify, she lets out this long sigh....and says "Fine." I ask if I may have the Invoice ID number, and she says, "MA'AM, that case was JUST put in the system, you need to call back in a week at least". I asked for the Beneficiary ID number (longshot), and I get the "MA'AM...I don't even have access to that." Ok then.
You know, when I was younger, I worked for a call center for a major cell phone service provider. Treating my customers that way would have resulted in a reprimand at the minimum.
I would call back again tonight, but I'm afraid I'd want to find a way to shove a frying pan through the phone....
No! they usually give names at the beginning, I will report her to the supervisor if she did that to me...

It's Saint Luke's Extension Clinic, and it's different from the Medical Center. It's located near the US Embassy. =)
Okay copy that, carried out and noted.
-
As soon as we have the MNL case number, I think. But I'm not going for medicals until about a week before our interview date - to save up on plane fare.
Here are the requirements for SLEC:
-Valid passport
-Photocopy of Passport Biographic/Data Page, the page in the passport that contains the applicant's photo and information
-4 pieces recent 2x2 visa photos
-Appointment letter from the Embassy or Instruction letter from the National Visa Center (NVC), if available,
-2 photocopies of your Appointment Letter/ Instruction Letter
And take note, you CANNOT have your medical if you have your period.
Also, you can register on-line, but it will still be on a first-come first-served basis when you get there. Registering online just cuts the waiting time for filling out forms. Here's the link: http://www.slec.ph/us/registration/
WHAT IS SLEC?
OW ST. LUKES MED. CENTER . . .

I agree. From my experience I must say that calling them everyday does not expedite your processing at NVC. You will only get to know something immediately when there is an update.
FROM MY EXPERIENCE ALSO CALLED SEVERAL TIMES PER DAY, LIKE MY CASE NUMBER CALLED NOON TIME 1ST OPERATOR SAID THAT NO CASE NUMBER YET, THEN I CALLED 2 HOURS AFTER SAME DAY 2ND OPERATOR GAVE ME THE CASE NUMBER BUT SHE SAID NO IIN YET, CALLED AGAIN AFTER 2 HOURS, 3RD OPRATOR GAVE THE CASE NUMBER AGAIN AND THE IIN. S THATS WHY WE ARE HERE TO SHARE EXP.

Thank you for posting! So helpful! ! !
Just got NOA2! I just have one question.
In the info it says to call the NVC a week after NOA2 and every day after that... Asking what? Won't they get mad if you're buggin them every day?
Best of luck to everyone with your Interview Dates!
Asking if they received your case, I called 2-3x per day.

 Immediately after I posted on this thread, I got an email from NVC saying they have generated my AOS bill invoice and portal is now open to accept my payment!!!!!!!! I will go home and make the payment tonight!
@saylin: I got two emails: one email about AOS bill invoice and another email about NVC has my file and they are ready to accept DS-3032 form. As from what I understand from this forum, mostly everyone receives this DS-3032 email, correct? I just sent DS-3032 on Monday night, should I ignore the recent email from NVC and call them to find out if they have received my DS-3032 form?
thats good news, hope I will receive an invoice tomorrow.

I got my case number today. I have sent the DS-3032 email. What is the next steps? Can you do medicals now that we have the LND number?
I don't know about that, all I know is that you go to medical before interview, read first post for more info.

@kingilbert: are you able to see your AOS bill invoiced in the portal? Your case number got assigned on the same day as mine. I could not login to the portal since yesterday morning.
I can login yesterday but today I cant, when i login the first window says . . .
The next step in the immigration process isfor the principal applicant to register an agent using form DS-3032, Choice ofAddress and Agent for Immigrant Visa Applicants, which has been sent to theprincipal applicant. Registering an agent is necessary to establish the primarypoint of contact for applicant-related correspondence. The registered agentwill receive all correspondence from the National Visa Center (NVC) related toimmigrant visa application processing fees and applicant document requirements.
And I already sent DS3032 yesterday and received auto response. it is all instructions how you process your AOS, IV, payment etc. but I cant go to the payment portal to check if AOS is already Invoice or not. what stage I am now?

So I have a question/concern on this note...
I took my tax stuff to a CPA for my 2011 taxes (my first time, usually I use those HR Block folks), and he filed me as Head of Household, as I provide all support for my daughter from a previous marriage. He said I can't file as married as spouse is not in country, made no US income and has no legal recourse to the US. So my taxes are just me....will this be an issue? I asked the CPA several times, and he even called some IRS CPA hotline and they reconfirmed the Head of Household as correct status for my filing.
I don't mean to be a worry-wart, it comes naturally!
Married filling single? yes you can if your spouse not in the USA.
also you can fill married even your spouse not in the USA, but you need to file ITIN for your wife.

Copying and pasting from a website like that doesn't help. It takes out the design and formatting. Please take a screenshot and edit it to just display the AOS section, otherwise your screenshot is going to be huge with the full webpage.
Well, if it says not invoiced, then it's not invoiced. There's no way you pay a fee if it hasn't been invoiced yet.
You just got your case number today. Your AOS fee won't be invoiced for a few days. Just be patient and keep checking the payment portal site.
Thank You SAYLIN, I'll wait
-
PAYMENT STAT says
NOT INVOICED
-
-
Okay SAYLIN Thank You, so shall I pay for my AOS? the 3rd operator told me not to pay yet.
-
Congrats
Thank You I sent DS3032 already and received an auto response, I can login no to https://ceac.state.gov/IV/Login.aspx im ready to pay but operator told me not to pay yet . . . what should I do?
You can go to the interview room with him and also can answere the question
-
Okay Called again for 3rd time now not satisfied with the 2nd call, this time I got IIN and BIN!
see this people? thats why we need to call more often & if not clear and needs more clarifications CALL again.
So I will send my DS3032 now. happy to have my case number.
-
Hi SAYLIN
Called NVC today the first operator said we received the case but we dont have the case number yet, called 2 hours after ( it is free anyways ) the operator gave the case number start MNL? then I ask for INN she said that I need to wait for the email, I already gave my email address and my wife email address.
so shall I send the DS3032 ?
For who are still waiting for case number, call 2x/day or 3x/day.
-
We FINALLY got our Case Number at NVC! With our NOA2 from May 8th, I was getting antsy! Thanks to Roberto for making my day!
Should we send the DS3032 email right away (we have it ready as a draft alrady haha) or should we wait for the email the NVC operator told me they will send...
As per Saylin --> Right after you get your case number. There's a chance it could get rejected (because they got to your email before they're ready to take documents), but if that's the case, just re-send it. On the flip side, there's also a chance it could get accepted and you wouldn't have wasted any time.
Read First post for more INFO.

just want to make sure you are referring to 9 to 15 calendar days and not business days, correct?
Calendar days, but operator will tell you 10 to 20 business days " standard processing time and standard answer".
-
just got off the phone with NVC operator and heard the same line "We received your case in last week and it takes 10 to 20 business days to get into our system."
My case reached NVC on May 28th. How many days should I expect from NVC to get into their system and issue a case number?
just keep calling everyday, California petitioners usually take 9days to 15days to get a case number. according to the signatures of other users.
