Thanks.... but i thought that when the status changed to "In line for Interview Scheduling", the background checks are completed. I even got a yellow letter about 3 weeks after I was placed in line for interview. Doesn't the DO (Chicago in my case) send the yellow letter? I guess I can't do anything but wait for the interview to be scheduled then.

That's why they sent u only the yellow letter cuz the background check ain't done completely yet. When it's done that is when they will schedule you.

Give it a week u might get the interview letter.

Name check is for security purposes. Sometimes It's like a second back ground. They do a finger print and a name check.

Sometimes ur name check haven't come back yet. As soon as it comes back they woul send ur files to ur local uscis. And they will schedule ur interview.

I was approved on July 5, 2012.. How long does it usually take to schedule an oath ceremony.??

Search for the District court covering your area (in my case Kansas District court)...and look for naturalization schedule. If USCIS is not doing an administrative oath or you are changing the name, than you oath most probably on one of those days. good luck

Update on my case, now oath has been scheduled. Don't have the letter in my hand yet, but it looks like its going to be on 27th going by the court website for naturalization dates.

might had been confuse with the update it looks like is the same update since when i got my first interview!!!!!!!!!!. but i did call the lady who is helping me in the house of representive local office and she said there waiting on a date whatever that means i hope it's good news....

Don't worry. I didn't receive a yellow letter. I only received the appointment letter.

yeah my friend i think is for a Sencond Interview there a ceremony for 75 people on july 12 @ the court and i remember dropping my last name ...so i just hope i passed the interview!... I kind of happy is now moving!

Dt need to stress out . Based on what I read on visa journey or other people post . U are gonba b fine. They might ask for more documents but u'll be fine.

Like I said before. When uscis takes long to make a decision it usually be a good decision or an approved decision. They usually deny or send the denial letter right after 30 days of the interview. I understand if u dt want to have faith . Good luck amigo may God be with u.

Nahh I dt think so. A fried of mine who is political asylum and traveled back to his mother land country and still be able to become a USC. He was approved quick

They're not a citizen until AFTER the Oath ceremony. This is very important to realise. You don't want to start calling yourself a citizen until you have that paperwork in your hot little hand. There was a post in the last couple of months where a gentleman had applied for a job only for USC's the DAY before his USC interview. He didn't think it was an issue because he would "be a citizen the next day" and was denied for claiming to be a USC when he wasn't a USC... He was reminded he is NOT a citizen by passing the test, he's a citizen ONLY after taking the oath.
