So, I received a letter from the USCIS today saying that I failed to show up for my oath ceremony on 9/21 @ 11AM. Well unfortunately, I never got a letter that's why I didn't show up. So if I call USCIS, would they schedule me for the soonest one or there's an amount of time I have to wait again to be scheduled?

If I were I I would make an infopass as soon as possible.

So on September 4, I checked my case on line and it showing that they've mailed the oath letter already. Does anybody know how long it usually takes? I've been checking my mailbox every single day after I got back from vacation and so far, it hasn't turned up yet. I'm just excited for this whole thing to be over.

I think u should call the 1 800 number they will provide u the date and location where u shoul attend ur oath ceremony. I got mine 1 day after my status changed online

just got back from my infopass and they said that the supervisor has my file since Augs 14 and that he is on vacation that as soon he get's back is going to review for a decision! ...Well I sure do hope the supervisor come back from vacation on good mood to approved my n400 ...well all i can say there still hope .......#Blessed

Give them your travel dates and possibly your itinerary number, they will work on it and make sure you have it on time. It takes about 2 days or so for the expedite request to go through, and this is a holiday weekend. Once processed, it will be sent overnight.

Get an infraction ticket is no big deal to the uscis.

If u get a ticket they will let attend the oath ceremony. Where did I get this

Hi guys I need some advice. I applied for my passport book the 15 of August and the received my app the 20th. When I checked online it still processing. And I'm traveling the 10 of september. I paid for regular service. Do u guys think I will get it on tint to travel. Please advice.

I come here from time to time to take a look, and I notice the issue that is going on with Joker and I can't resist to ask why you did not take them to court till now?

After interview, they have 120 days to adjust your case, if you can show that you made many efforts to get answers with no satisfying results, you can take USCIS to court, this is called Writ of mandamus. In this case, the court take your whole file from USCIS and determine your eligiblity and they approve/deny the application based on information/findings and USCIS will have NO control over your file anymore once the court have it. If you are pretty sure about all information you gave and believe you have the right to get your citizenship, I would not let it go that easily man, no way.

When we stop and give up our rights, they might do the same mistakes/issue more often. If it was men, hell no, I would take them to court being sure I will get approved as long as I know I am clean and nothing to fear.

No. I used routine service 4-6 weeks. I got all my passport book, passport card, Natur. Certificate in 2 weeks.

I check my application status online it says that my application is being processed and it give my application locator number. Does anyone know what this means. Thank you ur reply woul be appreciated.

I applied for passport on AUGUST 3rd 2012 in Washington DC and EXPEDITED the process

and it was received August 15th 2012.

Can someone tells me how long it takes to receive a passport not using the expediting services.

I have been reading contradictory posts on VJ and would like some input from members with concrete knowledge on the issue. I received a ticket for talking on a cell phone while driving about 3 years ago. Ofcourse I paid it off within a week. I got the impression from posts here that such minor offenses are not to be mentioned and thus ticked "NO" to all such questions during the ROC. Everything went well and I did the same when filing for N400. Now I have come across posts where members are talking about ticking "Yes" to questions where it says if a crime/offense has been committed without arrest. If that is true, I may have made mistakes on my application and what should my next course of action be? I know, these petty offenses don't carry any weight, but I don't want to be held for lying, which was never my intention. Your advice and experience would be appreciated.

It is no big deal. I have do many traffics tickets and in my interview the officer didn't bother to ask me question abt them. They mention that on the n400 if the ticket was not over 500 dollars then u dt have to mention it int application. Sometimes when u readin other people post and other and the experiences its good but sometimes u worry too much over little thing.
