After a month of waiting NVC had received my petition yesterday and i got my case # the same time i am so thankful cause i was really starting to worry what had happen to it

Last time I checked, Turkey was part of our mena group and we have people married to turks who post in here. I cant see why this video is so offensive, the women both married men from there that they met on vacation and the men immigrated to the UK. First off, postal service sucks in Jamaica. What did the confirmation letter said that he received Two weeks ago, wouldn't that be the one they mailed on May 7th since that was over 3 weeks ago? Did the confirmation Letter have an appointment date or just instructions? Have you already submitted the DS-230 form?

I think she's waiting on the infamous Packet 3. In my opinion, if she doesnt know about this packet 3 - which there is nothing wrong with that, you're speaking a foriegn langauge to her. If I didnt have you guys to break it down step by step, I would have know idea what he's waiting on and what the heck is a DS230. Sounds like the newest version of Xbox. A&K has helped me along the way over the past 3-4 weeks, but by reviewing her timeline, she's waiting for packet 3. You should forget about it coming in the mail. Here's the advice I got:

1)Get your case number from the NVC.

2)Email the embassy the completed form DS230 - provide the case number, beneficary name, DOB & petitioners DOB etc

3)Request the appoinment letter in the email - he'll need this for the medical

4)Schedule medical

5)Get police report in Kingston

6)Get Non-impediment certificate/letter

The worst part is comparing the time lines. And if you do compare the time lines for JA VJer's....we are all pretty close with regards to dates. So that gets you even more frustrated. There is no rhyme or reason to this process. I called every day once I received the approval from USCIS. And those 15 some days sucked. Hang in there. Keep calling daily.

My petition was approved on april 23rd and NVC still didn't receive it...it's been a month and five days. Crazy!

Both of these stories are distrubing and sad. I feel for you guys. I wish there was something I can say to make this go better for you.

Thanks for the review... Very helpful. I think my fiancé will go to Hope as well, but they're all the same it seems. I told him to start double checking his shots with his personsl doctor and get boosters from now as needed (and get his shot record card updated). Is that ok you think? I assume we won't go through that part of the process for another 2 - 5 months

I think there is another thread about this topic somewhere. I'd ask or look around. Also, I know someone who recently got up and here and had no records either - so Hope Medical gave them to him at the time of his medical. I think he said he paid $18,000 to $20,000.

Well well! Finally some movement here other than A&K and me. How da heck are you!!??

Its $110 for basic. I am fully immunized but had to get 4 additional shots, guessing booster shots. When you call they tell you the maximum money to carry is $28,000.00/ US $323.00. When you reach they calculate all that you do. Do not walk with $110.00 only you will not be charged that alone. I know people who have gone to all three places and nobody has paid the figure quoted on the site, they have all paid more.

The price you upaid - Im guessing you had to get all your vaccinations? Because the site says he should cost $100. So you were missing some or all your vaccines?

Non-Impediment picked up!! One down - one to go. Heading to get police report now. Then off to print, sign, scan and return the DS230 - Part 1. Ready to send off to the embassy when the case finally reaches...HOPEFULLY Monday!

i would advice you to wait until you get your interview date to do the police record so that the date would be close to your interview date where the no-inpediment is concern i would advice you to go ahead and do it i paid for express and trust me i didnt get it the time they said i would it took 2-3 weeks

Agree about getting the Non-impediment. We're hitting the 10 mark and we paid for express. In fact he's there again today to see if it ready. I think we paid somewhere between $70-80 for non-impediment. Get that one going now. You'll have it ready for the interview.

It helps if you've called NVC and you know exactly what date your packet was supposed to go out. Here's how you do it. Go to www.dhl.com. In the box where you can add your tracking number, below that click where it says > More Tracking Options.

Then on the left, click "Track By Shipper's Reference"

Then, enter the reference number "EXP 21 MAY 2012A" for example. You can change the date to whatever you want.

From the "from" and "to" just change the dates around a bit so you're capturing some dates, say from the 20th to the 23rd.

The location is optional, but you can enter the country that you're looking for.

Then, click track.

You'll see all the places that were shipped express mail from NVC in Boston. Basically that means if NVC tells you it's going out today and you do the search for that day's date, you can see that it was sent.

Myself and M&G were told that our package was going out on Friday, the 18th, but using the DHL tracker, we realized it wasn't sent until Monday.

I agree with Jay-Kay - Tax Transcripts should be okay. They are free from the IRS. They take upto 10 days to receive. If you want the IRS to pull your actual tax file, those cost $57 each. Good Luck Shawna!! Keep it moving!
