What?? No that's not what its about at all..... She got very lucky.. OP: This easily could have been a case of uprooting someone who changed their life to come be with you in a new country only to have you say "sorry, I made a mistake.. I led you and myself on for 8+months.. I'm bailing so it sucks to be you" ..... you did wait three whole days.. You could have ended up ruining someones life, instead you got lucky because your choice turned out to be dog who deserved it so it saved you having guilt.

He's already disconnected from you. If he's not willing to own up to the problem(s) and work to fix them, then there is nothing you can do to change his mind. It's a huge fallacy that one person can change another.
It hurts, it stinks, but it's survivable.
    Best of luck.

There are lots of American women who are treated as badly by their American husbands. If the fact that you are a foreigner had anything to do with it then you probably wouldn't have a green card. Your husband is a jerk because he's not a good person. It's not because he's American, and it's not because you're a foreigner. Divorce him and move on with your life. If you have sufficient evidence that you entered the marriage in good faith then you can remove conditions and get a 10 year green card on your own.

I'm sorry you're going through the emotional abuse (that's what this is).
I've edited your post above to the important parts (immigration wise). What do you want? Do you want to remain in the US with your GC? Are you worried about how to go about that? Do you want to return to your home country (your consulate may be able to help)? What are you looking for advice on?
