  1. As everyone else have already said, it usually takes 4 to 6 months to get approved (NOA2). It might sound like B S, but try and have a litle patience and not think too much about it. Believe it or not, I find strengh and comfort on the posts of those that have been waiting longer than me and are still trying to hold the line.

I hope you get yours soon. It only means that they are working faster and we'll all get ours sooner.

  2. I would not do it if I was you. Money transfers might give them the wrong impression about your relationship. From what I've heard, they're always looking for evidence of fraudulent relationships and money is always #1 on the list.

Welcome to VJ's and good luck on your new jurney.

  3. :wow: I'm sorry that after all the hassle, the paperwork, the fees and most important: the waiting; people still have to withstand "service reps" that are so ill informed, ignorant and rude as you descrive. Patience is a virtue. The moral I take from your bad experience: NEVER GIVE UP, NEVER SURRENDER. Hope everything works out for you in a more timely manner now and thank you for keeping us all posted.
  4. Ahhhhhh, the ok feeling is back again. Saw many theads last week with nay sayers and a lot of negatives; I guess they're not saying anything now because they're eating crow. In one month and two days now and everyday I'm positive and hopeful tomorrow will be our day.

Good luck and best wishes to all. I hoppe and pray that tomorrow it's your day too!!!

  5. Thanks, I am fully aware on what I should have done. Like I said, I was overseas when I file. People make mistakes. I will await what the letter states. I always say it's a conspricacy, even when it's my fault. I thank all for reading my post. :innocent:

Hey Gemini70, it's very true that "people make mistakes", but some mistatkes are very costly. Notonly is there money involved, but also time and emotions. Don't feel too bad though; At least you're big enough to recognize your shortcomings and that is the first step in solving any problem. I pray that you get an RFE instead of a denial, and no matter what you get: GOOD LUCK IN YOUR JURNEY.

  6. Maybe they are, who knows. They have been working fast the last couple of months so let's see what happens. Try to keep yourself busy, I know it's easier said than done. :star:

    :wow:

People like you should just not comment. Why should she be frustrated you ask? Uhm, I don't know, maybe because like all of us she is desperate and emotionally struggling with the process like everyone on here is!!! :bonk: :bonk:

A little encouragement and reassurance goes a long way. Don't be a negative nelly. Remember, if you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all.

Here, Here; I second the sentiments. Very well said.

  7. The VJ Timeline provides estimated time frames, because the dates are calculated with other member's information.

With that said... You can always call and inquire about it, but most likely they will tell you " We are processing so and so month...." and leave you with the same anxiety.

Take a deep breath, find yourself something to keep your mind occupied..and before you know it, you'll get it good.gif If 5/6 months have passed, then start thinking about contacting someone who can help (a congressman for example)

Good luck on your journey smile.gif

Great advice!!!! :star: Loce your way of thinking

  8. If you scan through the VJ's Vermont timelines, you'll notice that petitions with NOA1 of Dec 2011 have been approved. Try to keep your mind focused on the positive side.

I hope soon we all can look back and laugh at how impatient we were.

  9. Please don'tlook at it that way.

Most people try to do the best they can with what they have or are allowed. I too am greatful that we get the oportunity to legally bring our loved ones over, even if the wait is long and others go before me. I know that there are people that have to wait more than me and have to jump through more hoops. Be glad and greatful for whar you have and just think that soon you'll look back and realize that the wait was not as long as you originally thought. Pray for a lot of patience, I know I do.

  10. Wow!!!I am in awe. I did not want to believe that there were people in this world that still just wanted to help their fellow man with no strings attached.

You have done and I guess are still doing a great service to everyone that takes the time to read your posts. I Know I now have a different view of the process and new found respect for the people that deal with our applications.

From the bottom of my heart: T H A N K Y O U and may god bestow many blessings upon you and yours.

  11. I know I'm a little late, but if you guys/gals have a DSL connection; Try "VONAGE". I'm calling my sweetheart for a flat rate, unlimited minutes to LAN (home) phone and 8 cents/min to cell lines. You can also use your cell phone to make your calls for no additional charge. Hope this helps some of you keep in touch with your loved ones more often and a little cheaper.
