We hired a consultant. I think it really depends on the time you have. For us, the fee is worth it due to our hectic schedule. So far I'm very happy with them. If I had all the time in the world, I'd do it myself, but I have found that their review is worth it.
Good luck!

We got ours today to! Woo hoo! Now the waiting begins!

We recieved our NOA 1 today. Her child was not listed. Is this ok? Do I need to do anything? Other than that, we're excited!
Thanks

Cool idea! How about hiring a local broadcast/sound company that could do all the technical stuff? I'd do this, but we will do a small civil ceremony here and the big church wedding in her hometown in the Phillipines.

Next time,,, they will generate even more interest (And more money).
Everyone likes a rematch with an air of vindication...
Should be a great rematch.

Hello all....
My fiancée spent 5 months 3 weeks and 3 days in Japan. Technically not six months, but id rather be safe than sorry. I've asked if she needs the police clearance and was told no, but the visa consultant said it would be better to just get it so we have it if needed.
My questions are:
1) does she need anything to show the Japanese Consulate in Cebu that she needs it? I have read where she needs a request from the USE. I have also read where she can just walk in and request it. Anyone know if she can do that?
2) Once she receives the report, how long is it valid for?
Thanks for the help.

My fiancé lived in Japan 5 months and 3 weeks before returning to the phillipines. I don't want to split hairs here, but does she need the police certificate from there since she was not there 6 months or longer. Any advice?
Thanks
Dale

Even though I am laughing at these, I can understand.. We're still months away, but I won't to be prepared for her here. My biggest concern is the weather. Her reord lw is warmer than our normal high. I'll bring her coats when I get he, but am concerned about daylight. She told me two things. Don't worry about the house she will clean it and that I had to get a new bed because she would not sleep in the one my ex slept in.
