  1. In the recent Track my Visa Now newsletter, they have the following paragraph: "Transfers to the Department of State's National Visa Center have also slowed in the second quarter, tacking on an additional 2 months for cases post-approval. Cases that are currently being sent to the DOS (NVC) have spent a total of 8 to 11 months at USCIS, with a median wait time of 9.3 months" I got very anxious reading this. Does it really mean that once getting the NOA2, it takes a median of 9.3 months wait after? ridiculous We are NOA1 of December 10th 2024. Still waiting, ** says we are 2700 cases from the front of the line. So maybe 2 to 3 more months wait if they dont hurry like the do sometimes, or more if they stall more. So after that, another year?! to just being out of USCIS? what is your experience? (well, now things are different anyway) Alos, my future step son is 20 yo. we were hoping to bring him over. At his rate, he may turn 21 before they can come, and we need to be married before he is 21. So he might not be able to come over. What a nightmare. I am just really venting, but thanks for commenting your thoughts and experiences.
  2. Update: I received a reply from Lockbox support with my case number, and the person replying said they would reissue the NOA1, so we'll see if I get it in the mail soon.
  3. I am doing the same but my fiance has spanish citizenship. I believe it does not matter, and you just go through the process and pick Madrid as the consulate to apply for the visa when the i-129F gets approved.
  4. happened to me. NOA1 must have been lost in the mail. I did not file form G-1145 which is the only way to be notified electronically. See below thread. I emailed the lockbox support and just this week after a month and a week received an emial saying they will mail another NOA1, and also gave me my case number. I have not updated this in the thread. I am waiting to receive the new NOA1 in the mail. Since after 30 days they had not replied, I Called the 800 number again and after a few tries with the automated system, I could talk to an agent and she gave me my case number. They usually do not re issue the NOA1, that is what the gal on the phone said, so I was surprised when the person who replied from the lockbox said they would. Good luck!
  5. Yeah, they did have it. I have never had this issue before with important mail. I did hold my mail but it was 13 days after the NOA1 date I got, so it is unlikely the hold mail was the issue. USPS just lost it probably. She said they do not send copies of the NOA1, but I would think they should for NOA2. And, I have now added the case to my online account, so I think it should show up there.
  6. I wanted to give an update to this thread. I called USCIS @ 1-800-375-5283 and after going through the automated system a few times, and a couple of calls, I was able to talk to an agent who gave me the case number and receipt date! She said they emailed the notice. Must have got lost in the mail. Thanks guys!
  7. Hi everyone, I still have not received the NOA1, and I did not file the G form electronic / text notice so I do not have the case number. I called 1-800-375-5283, and the automated system says to email the lockbox at lockboxsupport@uscis.dhs.gov I did, and the automatic reply says they would respond within 30 days. 30 days is this weekend. I will try to call again next Monday.
  8. * 12/06/2024 - Mailed from the Post Office * 12/11/2024 Received at PO Box * 12/16/2024 675 dollar check posted cashed at my bank account I have not received the NOA1, and I did not file the G form electronic / text notice so I do not have the case number. I called 1-800-375-5283, and the automated system says to email the lockbox at lockboxsupport@uscis.dhs.gov I did, and the automatic reply says they would respond within 30 days. 30 days is this weekend. I will try to call again next Monday. Anyone with any comments or help that would give us hope? Thanks! Oh and I used the check cashed date for my NOA1 date on the timeline.
  9. No, I did not file a G-1145, I did not know I could do that Thanks for your reply, I will wait patiently for the NOA1 then. G-1145 says that should be mailed within 10 days after application has been accepted though, but oh well. Maybe it has not been accepted yet, just the check was cashed. Is there a number to call if there has been more than 8 weeks with no response?
  10. Hi, I mailed the I-129F on December 6th 2024, marked delivered by USPS on December 11th, and the check was cashed on December 16th. I have not received the NOA1 yet. It does not show up on my USCIS online account either. I hear people get the NOA1 within a couple of weeks. When should I call them? what number should I call them to? Thanks for the help.
