Thanks. I have made numerous posts and help people from my Philippines mostly, as I am more familiar with the K1 VISA procedures, since I have been through it once before. At that time the whole process with and RFE, Embassy interview with VISA in hand was 4 months and 5 days. That was back in 2010. Don't what the difference is now that is causing things to be so slow. I have never been insulted in a post before. The quote "People like you" to me is an insult and some people if you said it to based on ther race, might consider it a racial slur. I am okay. I will just stay away from posts involving the Dominican Republic users.
whoa.... I personally am from DR. theres nothing wrong with us dominicans. I wanna say as a dominican I understand your comment and it came off as a little harsh because she is just concerned as we most are. Some people are sensitive you know. And i just think you were a bit too real with the comment. Although what you said was all facts they may have hurt some feelings alone the way! this is just my opinion please dont snap back at me

Maybe they are, who knows. They have been working fast the last couple of months so let's see what happens. Try to keep yourself busy, I know it's easier said than done.
People like you should just not comment. Why should she be frustrated you ask? Uhm, I don't know, maybe because like all of us she is desperate and emotionally struggling with the process like everyone on here is!!!
:bonk:
A little encouragement and reassurance goes a long way. Don't be a negative nelly. Remember, if you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all.
amen to this

WELL IT LOOKS LIKE vermont service center IS SLOWING DOWN? NOT SEE MUCH GOING ON!
keep your head up we are all feeling your pain. viva la republica dominicana

I think our Government is smarter than we think. Maybe there is a reason why they take a long time to approve some petitions. It gives a lot of people time to think, if they want to go thru with this lengthy procedure. If it would take only a couple of weeks to approve some petitions, there would be a lot more people applying for visas, and a lot more people coming into to the U.S. and a lot more divorces, and a lot more heart brakes.
ironic you said that because thats exactly what i was thinking when i looked at the processing times.
i guess it does make ppl really think like is it really worth is. and sometimes while petitions are pending the relationship falls apart.

i feel your pain. they have had my form for like nearly 3 months and its was in initial review until april 2nd when i got a RFE. they are driving me INSANE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1 that darn VSC

i agree with everyone whom is saying dont leave. its too risky. just file and try and get the i-131 approved so you can travel. i would lose my mind if my husband got banned for 2 years and i imagine your spouse would feeel the same. good luck with whatever you decide

You can only send what you have. They do not look that horrible to me. I am not sure I understand your lawyer stating he refuses to respond to the RFE. You send in the evidence you have, or you get denied for not responding to the RFE within the allotted time. Send in what they are asking for, the stamps and visa page plus your W-2s, before your time runs out on the RFE. If a month has gone by already, you should get all the paperwork from your lawyer, just send it yourself and fire the lawyer. Ask for a refund for his refusal to do the job he was hired to do.
Yeah he didn't even tell me he recieved a rfe I called him after checking my status online!

i was able to read the information so i dont see why your lawyer is trying to hold up the process.
I would send what you have and let them tell you its not clear enough if that's the case
good luck
That's so much it seems like he wants to prolong the case

It's only for new visas. People with existing visas will have to go back to the US Embassy to renew them as soon as they expire.
Diana
so theres a chance they could be denied the second time around.?

The only things I can think of are letters from their current schools stating that they are currently enrolled and letters from the parents saying they only want them to travel during their vacation.
Diana
