  1. The clock does stop once you receive an RFE, but don't worry! You will receive your EAD notification soon-- if there was something wrong, they would notify you so no need to stress out. Waiting is all a part of the process.

I do know what you are going through though, everyone (Texas Newbie, Skul Teacher, Jdh, MikeX, Kstrozyk & Wattle Tree) who filed around the same time as me have already received their interview notification and I am the only one left out of the late Feb/early March filers yet to receive one-- so I understand and share in your frustration, but this is just a waiting game and we must remain positive as well as take in some comfort knowing that each day that goes by, progress is being made on our cases. :)

Yeah thanks! It's hard you kno because I haven't heard anything and I'm going insane! But all I can is wait! When I talked to uscis they said 60 days bc of the rfe I recieved on April 5th I about had a heart attach when they said 60 days! Is this true???

I feel the same way. It has been almoat a month since bio...

No EAD, no interview letter and no RFE...

    I-130/AOS Timeline:

3/5/2012 (Day 0) - Concurrent filing of I-130/AOS from F1 Visa(with EAD and AP) mailed to Chicago Lockbox

3/6/2012 (Day 1) - Package delivered to Chicago Lockbox.

    3/8/2012 (Day 3) - NOA 1 Notice Date

    3/13/2012 (Day 8)- Bio-metrics Appointment Notice Date

    4/10/2012 (Day 36) - Bio-metrics Date of Appointment

Omg we have the same exact time line! So if you get yours let me know! Add me as a buddy on here bc I swear we are on the same day

  3. This is my first post here on the VJ forum. I have always read majority of the posts on here and wanted to thank the VJ forum and all of its members for all of the helpful information my wife and I have received on here.

Today, we have received an online update (on USCIS website) on our AOS pending case. Our I-130 has been approved and our I-485 states this:

We mailed you a notice that we had registered this customer's new permanent resident status. Please follow any instructions on the notice. Your new permanent resident card should be mailed within 60 days following this registration or after you complete any ADIT processing referred to in the welcome notice, whichever is later. If you move before receiving your card, please call our customer service center at........

During this step the formal decision (approved/denied) is written and the decision notice is mailed and/or emailed to the applicant/petitioner. You can use our current processing time to gauge when you can expect to receive a final decision.

Does that mean we are approved? Does it mean we'll have to do other biometrics? We have already done them for my EAD card so not sure why would I need to do them again.

    What are your thoughts?

    Congrats

  4. funny because when i met my husband i started getting into the whole scrapbooking hobby so i have 2 huge scrapbooks since the day we started dating including our first movie ticket stub from our first date <3 i mean it might be overkill but im definantly bringing the books in my interview if they allow it bc they amount of work and dedication to those books and memories through the past 5 1/2 years we have been together is great. theres holidays and family vacations so many things to show! =D thats something i have an overabundance is pictures of us..simply bc it was one of my hobbies =D

Sounds really nice! I use to scrap book back in the day but when we moved my books were lost! So idk what I am going to do about pictures! I have 1 picture from the wedding the rest were lost between 3 moves and a flood:(! I am scares this will be against us at our interview :(

  5. My GC was undeliverable?! So it was returned to USCIS and called them, telling USCIS that I have changed my address online long time back even before my Interview. So they give me a confirmation that they will resend it back to me.. Oh well, I really hope so...

Congrats to all who got their EAD card! Happy for you guys!

    Congrats on gc

    Just checked the USCIS website:

    Yay!

I think my lawyer is over whelmed bc whenever we call him he doesn't ever remmember who we are or where our case files are!!!! Ugh!!!!!
