Then you should be getting a 10year GC. Wow sounds like you have had a rough go of it!
Well, I can tell you that all of us here, including myself have sent in renewals without a fee and received our renewal card. I did have a Tier 2 tell me that yes there is a renewal fee and I told her straight out she was wrong. I paid the original fee when we filed therefore no fees to renew.
I have heard of fees from 135.00 to 500.00, I guess it depends on where you live. If you have to redo the medical just make sure you call around and get prices. Use this link:
    https://my.uscis.gov/findadoctor
Also, ask what it includes, lab test, xray, tb test, vaccines. I know some charge extra for some of those things.

    This is an insane topic.
Bad Daddy - to your suggestion that parents pay the cost of schools alone. That's fine. On the flip side, I don't use several programs my tax dollars are spent on, so I wouldn't want to pay for them. It's a pretty ridiculous concept. I even paid to send my son to private school. It doesn't stop me from paying taxes for public schools.
Also, I am a single mother. I have never done drugs. While I will agree that we do have a drug epidemic in our country, it isn't limited in any way to parents or single parents.
As with any "business", I am sure there is wasteful spending in most school systems. And just like most companies, the people that work the hardest (teachers in the example of schools) are usually paid too little. I would say this is a very big part of the educational deficiency in the US. Quality educators would rather train at a corporation where they can get paid at a higher salary than schools.....or opt not to educate in order to get paid a larger amount doing other work.

I called last week and I was told they are processing March 5 and since I am early May I should "wait 90 days, if not approved call again." Uhhhmmm...
But, on another note... I'm going to call again today.

While I am happy for all of you CSC folks getting your NOA2, I'm also very jealous. Yesterday was 3 months since I got the NOA1 and it looks like I will have about 3 more to go. :-(
I wish they would ship some of the VSC files to Cali.
I would probably be ok with it all, but this has been a pretty horrible 3 weeks since Simon has gone back to the UK. School has started and my son is starting a new school. He's getting bullied. :-( Plus we're having trouble on the bus. They keep dropping him off at home when no one is there and they should be dropping him off at his aftercare.
That doesn't even take into consideration that I am super swamped at work. We haD 2 positions that needed to be filled in my department and another girl just went on long-term disability and won't be returning. That makes 3 positions that needed to be filled (there are only 2 us now) and we got told today that we're not filling them due to budget cuts. There is NO way I will be able to keep up with things as is.
Why can't they have an expedited process for life!
I'm so sorry to be a complainer, but I normally get to talk to Simon on my lunch everyday, but I didn't get one today (probably the beginning of a trend). I don't know how many of you use Viber, but it is generally better quality than Skype. Until recently. Half of our calls are spent saying "What", "let me call you back", "Sim....Sim....Sim" "Can you hear me now?".
I totally went from being like a warm and happy family for 3 months to a lonely, jealous, depressed, frustrated, worried mom/co-worker/fiance.
And by the way, yes I am writing this at work, but dang it. I should get 10 minutes for myself!

i must also say that it is neat to discuss the k1 visa process with people going through it at the same time. please june filers, if you get any updates or RFE, then please share with everyone. this may help others going through this process to know what to do and what not to do.

    Hi, welcome to VJ.
This site is wonderful and you will meet some wonderful people.
I would definately head over to your countries "portal" where you will find lots of information pertaining to people moving from the UK.
There are also so very active posters from the UK on these boards who always seem to be very helpful.
    1) Do you really have to have every box completed? I read somewhere that you should enter 'N/A' in any box that doesn't apply.
Never leave anything blank. N/A or none if it does not apply to you.
    2) On question 10 of my info (USC was granted through..), I have birth in US selected. Do I need to complete anything in the box below.
No. I do not believe so.
    3) Its 2/28 and the form expires tomorrow. Should I scrap this and wait for a new version? Has this happened to anyone before? Does a new version post straight away?
Not too sure, I would start with a fresh one.
    4) Do I need to send in any other forms with this? He doesn't have any kids ( so not bringing any lol). I'm not referring to the evidence. 5) When will he need to send anything anywhere? I've seem some things that said now and others that say nothing until he bring stuff with him to the interview.
