  1. I am a US citizen and I have applied an immigrant visa 1-130 for my sister to immigrate to USA under category 4 preference. It has been 10 years so she has few more years to go . She is now getting married. My question is can she include her husband as well once her case gets sent to NVC after approval. Her priority date is june 2010.

    Any input is greatly appreciated.

I was just looking through my email and searched something when I found an email in junk that I had been anxiously waiting for more than a year.

It was for my married sister NVC notification of visa for my married sister abroad. It was sent on September 2020 and landed in my junk folder until today.

What do I need to do to get it reinstated.? My sister waited 12 years for this moment!

  6. Hello Talented Bunch

I have a question put to me by my friend who I am helping her file for her husband who is at overseas right now.

My friend has worked for and has obtained 40 quarter hours from SSA. She is unemployed right now. During her work in previous years, She was receiving food stamp benefits for her son from her first husband.

Her X-husband failed to provide any support for the child and fled the country before she could track him for child support payments.

My question is that while she was receiving food stamp benefits, she worked and supported herself and her son who is 16 years old now, Can she still file I-864 waiver under her circumstances.

Also, Can anybody recommend the best guide to follow for filing and quickly going through the process for CR1 visa for her spouse.

    Thx for any responses.

  7. Hello VJ,

I have a question I am throwing out for someone to answer. My mother (US Citizen) filed for a permanent residence for her sister back in 2011. She is awaiting for her approval to come through. However, the twist in this case is that now she is married, but the case is already in the process to be approved. What can my mother do to add her husband to the original case so he can come with her once the case is approved. Also, How long is it taking currently for such a case to be approved?

Help and input is greatly appreciated!

  10. Dear Sir/Madam:

Your inquiry has been received at the National Visa Center (NVC).

We received the principal applicant's DS-3032 (Choice of Address and Agent) form designating an address and agent. Instructions for paying the immigrant visa application processing fee and all future correspondence will be sent to the agent at the address selected on the DS-3032.

For more information regarding the immigrant visa application fee or for answers to frequently asked questions, please visit the following website:

    http://travel.state.gov/visa/immigrants/info/info_3904.html

If a period of one year passes from the last date of contact with the NVC (by telephone, mail, or email), all submitted fees and documents will expire. If this occurs, your fees will need to be repaid and documents will need to be resubmitted in order to continue the immigration process.

I received this in the beneficiary's email. So this say tht the petitioner will receive instructions in the EMAIL or my house address- So I guess by Monday or Tuesday the payment portal should have the IV fee ready to be paid Right now it is empty.

  11. CASE COMPLETED

As of today 03/09/2012.... the rep quoted:"Unfortunately the NVC is unable to schedule an interview for your case with the embassy for March and you'll receive a notification with the interview date"...We'll be waiting 'til May, aren't we?!!!???!!!!

Anyway, I'm thrilled and happy. Foobaz123 Told you that you're usually 1st. LOL

CongratZZZ! Now go have a great weekend

  12. Same here. I got NVC case # yesterday and i emailed ds-3032 right away.

    Currently Payment portal shows:

"This case is in the process of termination. Fee payments and online forms can no longer be accepted. If you believe you have received this message in error, or to resume processing of the case, please contact the NVC immediately."

Per Saylin, i think they are invoicing my AOS. Hope it happens soon.

So you are saying you sent them them twice then? right! I guess I should do the same!
