I dont think she we have to stay a week my fiance at the time scheduled both the medical for one day and 2 days later her interview they sent the Medical over in one day so it was there. best thing to do is call the clinic that is going to do the medical they can give her a timeline.

You can also go and get a state issued ID card from the state you live in if you don't drive, that will provide you with a legal document that has your address on it.

My Now wife was denied a tourist visa also, So a month later we applied for the K1 Visa, she had no problems getting the K1, When she applied for her tourist visa she did not tell them she wanted to come here and visit me either and it was never brought up when she applied for her K1 and had her interview, so I think you will be fine.

I would not leave you can survive the 3 weeks. Think of it this way, lets say you do go and then they do not let you back in the country then you are going to have to be apart maybe 9 or 10 months until your visa is approved do you want to risk that? Is it worth it for 3 weeks?
