  1. Ok filed the I-130 after 9 months it was approved in person during an interview with me at my local USCIS office.Got letter a week later after interview .confused. it says that if the person I am petitioning is here in the U S ( which he is not) contact the Local USCiS and file a I-485. If they are not here apply for a I-824..maybe I'm reading wrong but aren't those forms for spouses that are here and trying to adjust status to permanent???? ????

  2. Greetings ,

It has been some time since I have posted. Hope their many success for you all. H I have a question. Went to my 3rd info pass meeting. Found out that as of June 28th 2013 I was on the list to be scheduled for interview. They have no reason of to why I didn't not receive the notice yet. But quickly blamed it on the issues in Syria and Detroit having the largest Arabic population which is NOW causing delay.. Even though I meet with them in June and July and no one informed me or caught it. Any Who...... wondering why I have to have a interview and what type of things I might be up for.. Just a reminder that our k-1 was approved within 4 1/2 months no interview, but was sent back during his interview for more evidence in October. It expired in the process as we knew it would so we didn't wait and married in Nov. as we had originally planed if it had went in our favor. So.. just wondering if anyone had an interview in the US on I-130 before their spouse and how did it go?

  3. Well I am a lady in waiting.

i filed on jan.10, of 2013. i was so excited when I heard my file was at the nbc because it was a good chance it would go a little faster (SO I WAs TOLD BY SEVERAl PEOPLE) WELL Iam still waiting for my noA2. It has been sitting in my local office Detroit ,since Feb. of 2013. Just want this wait to be over. If anyone has news on the Detroit office back up , or time frame I would love some inspiration. yes I had an info pass meeting to no great avail.

  4. NEEd Advice... ok so I called the uscis today, to check on the status of getting my file back to review. Now for some reason I got a young talkative man this time . and this is what he said..Why didn;t you file a k-3 so he can be here with you?? I said I thought those were absolete.. He said nooo.. So he told me to take my NO1 notice of th I-30, mail it to the national benefit center with a I-29F (no fee) and they will send it over to NVC for them to set up an interview for the K_3 so he can be here while we wait. and if for wat ever Crazy reason he might be denied again at the K-3 interview, It won't affect the I-30 and he will just have to wait for the I-30,,,, I trying to make heads or tails of this..

  5. Greetings been awhile. I just got notice that my I -29 f file, reached the usics. I called to get a copy of the interviewing officers notes,so we can address the issues before his next interview.. The man said I had to wait until they finished the investigation and they would contact me if they needed info from me. He also said it would be 3-4 months wait.My questions are . Don't I have a right to my file know?? How. Can I get the paper?

    Thanks

  6. I'm coming out of my depression of missing my Wife and diving into filing out the forms.

Question 14b: will be blank since I am a Citizen, right?

Question 21: I technically lived with my Wife during my 2 weeks vacation to Nigeria at my house (we got married then). Do I list this on this line?

    Thanks.

Ok so 14 b is a yes or no question right. so ther is no leaving blank. and I'm not 100% sure about #21 but since it is your legal resdience in Nigeria I would say yes. It should count.

On a personal note, I totally understand the time off, God's favor to you with the filing and congrats on the wedding, soo happy for you both. I filed and recieve my NOA1 it was bitter sweet, but the count down has started again.. Take care

  7. Greetings,

If I may be a little bit nosy.. I would like to hear from only two kinds of petitioners, (Nigerian filers would be helpful but any consulate feel free to respond) Those who did the I-30 successfully first time, without lawyers help and may have had 1-2 red flags and those who did a K-1 visa first, were denied for what ever reason and filed the I-30, BEFORE GETTING INFORMATION BACK ON THE REASON FOR DENIAL, and was successful with their I-30..

My question, How did you file, front loading,or basics, and what to YOU BELIEVE .. made this filing successful.. not the interview, but wat did your paperwork included, or not include that made your petition and documents work for in your case???

    Thanks,

    Chi

  8. Greetings,

Well I'm finally posting in this group. For those that don't know my story after finishing a 200 day journey of K-1 visa, it was sent back to the NVC (only to expire and be lost forever) for "lack of bona fide evidence..IN other words Bull====!!!!. Anyway we regrouped quickly, got married in Nov.. Hurray us!! , because we didn't want our plans to be totally ruined, our orginal Wedding date was set for Dec. in the USA. So now I am finishing our new file and I have some questions... It asks two questions. Has your relative ever been under any immigration proceedings? (Would that incude his K -1 interview? and if soo what is my answer because the choices are Removal, deportation/excusion,recission, and judicial proceedings) then it asks have I ever filed a petion for this relative before, I checked yes because of the K-1 visa, that is correct right???

Finally, unlike the k-1 visa it doesn't have a space for "tell us how you meet". Many have told me to write a cover letter introducing my husband and I,and give a time line of our relationship. I have ask some should I include the K-1 process,if so how much detail, if not what do I say exactly??? Thanks for the help, and good to be back.

  11. You sound like a strong woman. My first thought while reading was, Good for you! It took me 13 years to work up the courage to get out of a bad marriage. I raised my son and daughter on my own and have hopefully instilled those values in them. I am now married to a wonderful man who is the one I am certain was meant for me all along. I don't know if you like to read but I found a book very inspirational and uplifting when I separated and eventually divorced. It is called In the Meantime, by Ianyla VanZant (I dont have the book anymore so Im not sure if I spelled that right). I always thought the worst thing that could happen to me would be for my ex to leave. As it turns out, it was the best thing to ever happen to me. He married the woman across the road and I married my soul mate. in the meantime just worry about YOU and your children and the rest will fall into place. You have already taken the hardest step. You were also braver than me because I fell for the I'm sorry act and took my ex back for another couple years of that hell. Leopards cannot change their spots and once a cheater always a cheater. I should have listened to my mom on that one! Best of luck to you. :)

Yess awesome book.. all of hers are...

Congrats... to the retaking back control... No worries..anymore.. Life is to be lived to the fullest!!!

  12. NOOOOOOOOOO!!!!

This is unreal!! I am praying that your Queen finds all the support, comfort and love from her family until you two can be togther. I know your on it!! Your plan sounds great. No need to tell you to keep at it because there is no other option for you but to prevail and turn this around in your favor as it should all ready be!! Anything I can do. Just let me know. Even if it's just to bounce ideas of off.

This is truly heartbreaking... If they truly, truly, knew what they were doing... It's sad...

    Peace,

    Chi

I still read all your posts for encouragement. Can't wait to file as soon as I touch ground. God's favor to all the interviews coming up!!

  14. I learned something new.

An American citizen cannot take an incidental picture of the Embassy yet foreigners can take pictures of the White House.

This is apolitical issue for me especially during this election, I believe that we do indeed have too much government.

    But I digress. Again.

Chi, I'm elated to read that you're not giving up. Work with your Fiance, I am certain he is in a depressive mood right now so cheer him up as much as you can.

    Good luck to you Guys.

  15. Did your picture include the embassy itself ? If it was just the beach they should get over it. What they don't want is pictures of the enbassy, expecially things that would help plan an attack. That being said if you had planned anything evil why would you present your pictures ? Hopefully you didn't land yourself on a terror watch list.

I think we need a thread to go over the CO's again. Sounds like we have at least one nasty one. I haven't heard of the asian lady lately but she was the terror of the interviews when we went through ( although she is the one that approved Joseph and I ) At the same time there was an older white man that tended to approve everyone.

You are a California centered rejection which means you probably won't hear anything other than "your K1 has expired you ae free to refile"

NO matter what you do your second time your chances of getting approved are higher. As I said in PM , there are only rare second petitions for the same person that get rejected. Seeing that she was hung up on your children and his bio dad you will need to cover it in the next petition. You sound like you also need to lay out a more complete relationship history. The basic rule is that they must unover a "new fact" to deny. The less holes you leave in your history the less they have to uncover. Be prepared to cover the "limited childbearing" time that will be left by the time your next interview rolls around.

HI ... Ohh no we were not in front or even close to the building. We were at the river bank and next to the cab in the parking lot.. Oooh my I hope she didn't think that.. wow!! thanks for the advice though..

  16. Sorry Chi,it is one of those things in life. It's just unfortunate that he fell into the hands of the wrong interviewer. From my own opinion i would advice you to file a new petition ASAP.A fresh K1/CR1 depending on the one your mind leads you to.Waiting on the respond of the recent denial is just a waste of time,i may sound so discouraging but that's just the truth.Seeing him again in a couple of months for interview in Lagos by same petitioner is more than enough to convince them that you guys are in for real.Don't waste time trying to wait, make your plans now.I live in Tempe AZ,feel free to contact me whenever you want.I am a beneficiary of a K1 petition.

Thanks , Yes I am going to make that move this month.. I just wanted others to examing and see if I might be missing something.. thanks so much and good luck to you on your K-1..
